I like "Miracle of Bratislava!" Along with Lucia Popp, it's remarkable that Slovakia gave the world two of the very, very finest singers of the post-war period. To me Gruberova is, in particular the finest Konstanze and Zerbinetta of the post-was period.
We don't have many singers left who are still actively singing who started in the 1960s. The only other one I can name is Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. Grace Bumbry still sings occasionally....can't think of any others.
