    PEOPLE...MTG Crack causes loss of attention :)

    Brian is correct. Beta was worth more than Alpha pre 2000 because Alpha was not tournament legal. Type 1 was a big tournament format back then and there was little reason to own Alpha cards other than as collectables.

      I was usually top 10 DCI rankings in the world in Type 1 and Type 2 formats. 1997-2000.

    Watching this is frustrating.. Listening to Brian talking about something that is great info, and interesting, and its like he's talking to a child (Daniel) who isnt paying attention... Daniel doesn't listen, he waits to talk... Brain, great info, and tanks for making a great video!

    Love seeing cards get cracked open. Alpha cards are my favorite! Would love to see more videos with Brian telling stories about the glory days.

    Please Daniel, let Brian speak. So many times, we're listening to a great story and then "BUT BUT BUT YES OMG REMEMBER WHEN BEFORE WHEN I DID SOMETHING FUNNY?!?!?!?!" ... Stay off the coffee. We all like you, but please let your guests be the main thing.

    That’s very scary how Brian is breaking the case so close to the card. That plastic could cut or scratch the card. I use a pair of pliers with cutting blades in the back of the plier teeth and use that to cut the corners of the cases.

    Nice video guys! Verry interesting to learn about the (price) history of the ABU cards! My question tho: When Arabian Nigths came out, how was the distribution? And what was the pack price people paid?/Was it easy to obtain?(since the print run wasent verry big either)

    Hot take. Due to lack of play its harder to find nice shape betas than it is alphas even at the dbl print run size. Additionally had a chance to buy a alpha lotus for 50$ back in the day, buddy told me I couldn’t play with it in a tournament so was a pass for me. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Another reason Alpha is "better:" The cards are closer to the actual intended coloring. Beta is a bit darker than intended, which, in black border looks great, but the true coloring is better rendered in Alpha than in Beta.

    You should do this to all the graded cards. Grading is a complete scam and there is no consistency. It’s all about how much money you spend and who you know, that’s what determines grades.

      Pat MaCrotch false, semi-false, false, and false on your 4 points, in order starting on the 2nd sentence

      @@DrJack144 Just look at the current FBI investigation, all the people in business getting subpoenaed, and all the grading scam/fraud going on... you obviously just haven't done any research. PSA and BGS allow/look the other way of fraud.

    • @DrJack144
      @DrJack144 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pat MaCrotch ah, yeah, maybe actually read the article next time. It’s all based on ONE person doing this with baseball cards. This is old news, and nobody in the graded MTG FB groups cared. People care far more about potential shill bidding in high profile graded card auctions.

    This guy is condescending and is toxic to magic. Not everyone needs to play control. How boring would that be if all everyone did was that? Then calling them Timmy's disgusting.
