Hi Xris, what are your thoughts on the Fellow Ode Gen 2 vs the Comandante C40 for filter brewing?
I like the Ode more, but the C40 is still really good for portability
Dang I ordered from FDM early on with just aeropress, v60, chemex, rdt holders. Love the extra options. May need to order an updated version to hold my kalita filters as well!

So for the metal filter on the aeropress I've found that if you pull the plunger back while unscrewing and removing the black cap the filter will stay with the grounds and allow you to wipe most of it off on the inside of the aero press. It takes a little practice but I use the metal filter every time I go out camping and it's really awesome!

couple weeks, im getting a 3rd Orea brewer so I can do some comparative testing with the different RPMs on the grinder
I am having the same issue I couldn't find distilled water in my area. But I did some research and I found zero water filter that filters all TDS and yields water with zero TDS. But instead of filtering tap water, I am using reverse osmosis water and then filtering it again using a zero water filter. This way I can ensure good quality water because chemicals can be in water that has zero TDS.
Truth about the ember mug. I got one and im not looking back lol it’s def one of those “ridiculous” things that most people wouldn’t buy for themselves because it’s an expensive luxary. So it’s the perfect gift because the recipient will love it and you know they wouldn’t have gotten it without you

I love my oreas. They’re the best
For the Stagg kettle you could go with the Timemore to save quite a bit of money. In the end it boils water.
The timemore is pretty nice, and in my country the timemore is only $70 lmao while the Stagg after tax is easily almost $300. The Timemore is ok for home use, definitely finicky for cafes though, even though I have seen cafes using the timemore.
