Hi from Greece, i just realized that the word "evil" is the opposite of "live" grammatically.

I was raised Southern Baptist but haven’t felt the magnetism towards Christ and the healing power and wisdom Christianity holds until I started watching your videos and becoming more curious about Orthodoxy. The first video I watched from this channel was the one on Saint Vitalis of Gaza and I immediately started crying as I was involved in the same sort of life as the women he prayed for and saved. This started a change in me spiritually. I also watch live video streams of a local Orthodox church’s liturgies but I haven’t been in person because I am intimidated as an outsider not familiar with the customs. I want to go though and one day I will. Your videos were the first I watched on Orthodoxy. Thank you.

Come and see, please. We love having visitors, don't worry about knowing all the customs or doing everything "correctly."

I was in that boat - too intimidated to visit in person. But started going to my local parish a couple months ago, after feeling like something had to give. I was one mental crisis away from rock bottom, but it's the greatest thing I've ever done, taking that step. The congregation was so warm and welcoming, which is exactly what we need - community is heavily emphasized. Modernity is a cold, lonely world; but I found exactly what I needed there - a new beginning, where curiosity replaced confusion, and community replaced isolation. Just take the step and start!

Thank you, Vladika. This is the truth.
When I stumble (as I have many times these past few years) into hatred and resentment of the powerful, who it seems keep perpetrating crimes against the innocent and vulnerable, I’m reminded of the Lord praying from the Cross for those who crucified Him (knowing He was without sin), “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they are doing.” May He give us Grace to follow Him.

This is a humble man, Reminds me of the Priest who kind of taught me Orthodoxy albeit he’s Catholic. Great Catechist.

The seed of a passion will be planted. Then watered and given time and food will grow and strangle the flowers of our garden. Just as the invasive species of plants will win over the native without special care from an expert gardener. May Christ help us recognize the seeds foreign to the Christian life. Even if by the wind they get blown into our gardens.

Peace must be the end goal, but is not be given lightly. Wrong doing must have consequences and be eradicated. I ask myself how we can find the perfect balance. I read some monks say we just have to give up all rights. I wonder how society and even our private life could work then. It does not seem feasible in the least.

Faith assumes that we accept the present situation and believe that our needs will be met. Not to have wants and desires which prick our passions of injustice, lust, greed etc.
Our assumption of rights ply on our passions.

Oh Lord, deliver thy servant from the evil and let thy will be done in him that he may worship and glorify thee all his days. Oh Lord for I have so much faith in thee that you are on my mind from the morning to the sundown and so forth. Let your will be done oh Lord. In Jesus name.

Christ, our God, has conquered sin and death… if we remain in Him, close to His side in our struggle, and in prayerful company with the Holy Theotokos, the holy saints and martyrs, then He has promised that we too, by His mercy and grace, will share in His Victory… grant this, O Lord! May God give strength and hope to all who struggle and sustain them…

For me, exorcisms are paramount because I have been experiencing bad symptoms of demons infesting my body/soul. By praying in the name of Jesus Christ, the demons power is reduced a lot. In fact I have a audiobook by St Ignatius about this. On my TH-cam channel. They fear this more than anything. In the Talmud, it is forbidden to use the name of God to raise the dead. That's how much the non-Messianic Jews feared this practice. Since it has effectual abilities. Some of the Fathers said that the vision of God can destroy demons. It is definitely a two-edged weapon. I think its the secret which the world does not understand or want you to know about. It reveals demons, and drives them out. Protestants are keen on this, this calling on Jesus. Its strange. It could have to do with the reptilian part of our brain/selves. I'm just gonna leave it at that. Stay safe and sane.

Every baptism is an exorcism. I spit on the devil.

@speedysteve9121 Just saw 3 have a catechumen welcoming and a exorcism/renunciation. At the same time basically. My thesis is that we need to continually revoke and spit at the devil its definitely not a one time thing. If we developed passions we especially need deep clearing of anything demon infected.
