Great vid, there is an area in Dubai similar to like Peckham and they have loads of black hair dressers etc. I can’t remember the name but it’s somewhere near the gold souks from memory x x
Try ethiopian hair salons in dubai .You have that kind of soft ethiopian hair. They will know how to do your hair. There quite few ethiopian hair salons in dubai
I'm so happy you love it in Dubai, I miss it! Maybe you are just on the "wrong side of town" when it comes to beauty products and spices. I used to stay around Union and there were ladies braiding hair in the park every day 😁 Not sure if that business has been shut down by now, the police don't seem to care what goes on in that park 😂 If I remember correctly, Day 2 Day, there is a big one at Union as well, should have some beauty products. Also in the Al Sabkha area in Deira you might find some, a lot of Kenyans there! Around the Gold Souk a lot of Somalis are selling beauty products. Around Baniyas Square is another area worth checking out. In Deira you can probably find any spice or seasoning that you want, so many stores, and the spice souk. I love that area because it feels like the "real Dubai". Go and explore it if you havn't already!
Tbh the best time to move to Dubai is during the hot summer months as that’s when they decrease prices as they know a lot of people are leaving to go on holidays and there would be less people to demand for things. Especially with house prices for renting and buying and so many other things
Essi, love the format of this vlog. Lots of good info and big thanks for the heads up about the summer months 😓. Definitely is on my to do list for vacations ❤.
I just moved to Dubai after living in the states and a short stent in London; any expat groups or the likes that you used or followed to get to know similarly situated people in the area?
Oh, I thought she answered that question at the beginning. She said her fiancé had a business opportunity, she was made redundant, and all things aligned
I’m surprised that you can’t find those spices. Middle Eastern countries or Arab cultures should have many spices 🤔 Also, I thought that many black people lived there and that it is a modern place. I’m surprised at this
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Would you mind sharing the name of the name place? When I was there in July, I spent £80 on the most basic short nails that chipped badly after 3 days. So disappointing.
I’m not planning to move there but I sat through the whole video 😅
😂 I love this

That’s what we thought but that’s not the case 😅 landlords don’t care and many will not budge on price if you live in a popular area.
Loved this video, very useful thanks! Dubai - 6 month update please 💖
Thank you! Will do!
Potential video topics.....describe the relocation process from London to Dubai, how you & Mr. London met, what do you do for a living
Good ideas thank you ☺️ although I already have a video on how we met on my channel

Welcome 😊
what are some good areas to stay? im trying to land a job as a fresher and move there. from the US
Hey! It depends on so many things and what you want to be close to. Have a look at JVC, Marina, Downtown & Arjan 🥰
Great 3 month overview
Thank you ☺️
Heard about the air pollution, Influencers don’t talk about the ‚con’s‘.
I spoke about quite a few cons I’ve experienced
Have you been to Emirate Hills yet?
Hi Essi! Fellow expat here based in Dubai! Would love to link up over a coffee 🧡🧡
What kinda job do you do in Dubai?
You didn’t link the nail salon
MAS nails 💅🏾
next few months will be extraordinarily busy
I know, I can’t wait tbh
Maybe it's just me, I like UK weather.
Not too hot, not too cold and 150+ days of rain.
Enjoyed, please do a video on moving to Dubai, the rules. Thank U!
Noted! ☺️
make a video how to move
I really want to move to Dubai but I have no idea what I would do for work. The States are horrible and unsafe.
So many job opportunities, best to have a look on LI or join FB groups x
Pls tell us why u move to Dubai

Your hair is mixed so you would be best looking for hairdressers that caters for that rather than black hair.

That’s meant to say nail place 😀
That’s so annoying! I don’t know why places are so pricey here. I went to Mas Nails 💅🏾
