Was unaware of Mick Herron's books, but watched the first season of Slow Horses, and possibly foolishly, then started on the books. Have finished ALL of the Slough House books, and novellas/interludes. So I have basically given myself the biggest set of spoilers, i could. Great books, and great writing, it has to be said. But teh TV series is also fantastic, and the casting has been great. It's impossible to read the books now without seeing Gary Oldman in my head whilst reading. Same for River, Diana Taverner etc. Just superb casting, and even better is that Will and the other writers have kept the spirit and feel of the books, from the plot line, to the snarky humour always lurking in the background. But this does bring me to my only real gripe.... i did notice a bit of the plot-line re Bad Sam Chapman, Emma Flyte etc in the 5th episode of Series 4 was changed a bit, but then i guess this has to happen from time to time. BUT.... Roddy Ho's car is an electric blue Ford Kia....(Herron is quite explicit here) and what do we get on screen??? A Subaru Imprezza????? This lack of attention to detail is quite frankly astonishing. Sort it!!!! 🤣
