- Chris Harris talks to Slow Horses star Gary Oldman about EVs, first cars and fast cars - namely his Chuck Beck replica of a 550 Spyder. Oldman chats about giving his son driving lessons in a Porsche Cayenne, the other vintage car he has in his garage and why taking on the role of Jackson Lamb was quite a grubby experience.

Gary Oldman, one of the most underappreciated actors in Hollywood. A marvel of acting. He makes you forget him as the actor and makes you only see the person he portrays.
@@jgrywacheski Not in my book. Without naming actors, there are multiple winners that are always playing themselves and none of those actors are close to Gary Oldman. Even in movies like Lost in space or fifth element does he disappear in character.

Love Harris, but an interviewer he's absolutely not. Thing is, an interviewer should talk less than the guest. Much less, in fact. Far from it in this case.
That last look of Oldman is the grin of a man who really loved the conversation. Wonderful.
Chris Harris is the perfect successor to Jeremy, Richard and May. The reason why jt works is because he doesn’t act anything like them and actually tries to make the show different. That being said, I still love the OG crew!
Harris is great indeed. I preferred him to the old three from the get go, since they, in my view became boring, doing the same thing over and over. Old men with a lot of penis jokes, that depended on the script and production of Top Gear more than people realized, which for a huge part became apparent at The Grand Tour where they did the same thing to the extreme and then realized they needed to change things.
Yes, Chris Evans didn't work as well, but I liked Reid and LeBlanc, even though they did require to get used to. The two northerners are ok as well, but I wish they were a bit more car oriented. Flintoff seems to become that guy, but the other one not so much and just tries to be funny.
I love, both Chris Harris and Gary Oldman. Great interview.

I love when a real fan (of the person or the content) interviews someone really well. Chris must've been tickled by Gary's reaction to his "gold top milk" comment. Just brilliant.

Excellent news that there is a second one coming out. I was addicted to the first Slow Horses & could barely wait for the Friday release on Apple TV. In fact I watched them all over again & found it just as good the second time around.
I needed this. One of my favorite car journalist talking with one of my favorite actors about my favorite subject: cars. This is heaven 😁
It's hilarious Chris is quite blunt in how he delivers his jokes and Gary's laugh is infectious. Sometimes you can't even register that Chris said a joke and he continues on, then Gary's laugh just erupts.
OH! Love this. Do more interviews like this. Its great content. Gary Oldman is a great actor and Chris Harris, his genuinely school boy excited stance both on the actor and the series is infectious. Well played TG

Garry Oldman, is in three or four of my favourite films. love the guy..... wouldn't recognise his voice.
If anybody is reading this and has influence over Apple TV scheduling of shows, PLEASE, PLEASE could you broadcast Slow Horses Season 4 as soon as possible and not make us wait until December 2024. There are so many fans of this series, it would be really good if you could make us happy.
Chris could most definitely do a series of these, and I for one would watch the lot.

My all time favourite actor. Great interview Chris.
He's always terrifying to me. There's that arresting intensity you hear from the sudden laughter to Chris' comments. Gonna be taking my son down to the Rose Bowl for same reason very soon. Will have to keep a lookout for Mr. Oldman tooling around in his Cayenne, laughing like a maniac.
I would be very happy for this to become a more regular thing, as long as the guests like their cars of course. This was great.

The two Lotus Esprit Turbo chase scenes in Basic Instinct, and the Jaguar C-X75 chasing the Aston Martin DB10 in James Bond Spectre are my favorite chase scenes.

His funked up accent, due to years of movies, is mesmerizing. I'm hearing his english tongue fine but there is hints of Aussie in there..! serious method actor. His Leon performance was frightening.

The Rover SD1 and the Jensen Interceptor are some of better looking iconic cars from that era that weren't from a "popular" manufacturer. What Chris said about the Rover SD1 being on the assembly line for months was hilarious, I guess Rover was a pioneer of the "start stop" feature long before the other manufacturers got on board.
Yeah but it was under investment that killed the British car industry….. it was a major factor why those workers went on strike…. But that didn’t get reported in the press!

What an actor. His range is quite wide. My most favorite character of his was Drexl from True Romance.

@@MrGwaldo Drexl was a one eyed gold grilled dreadlocked foul mouthed and down drug and pimp lord. And Oldman nails it. True Romance is the flick, written by Tarantino. All star cast, Pitt, Gandolfini, Walken, Arquette, Slater, Hopper, et al. Masterpiece.
@@jon3113 yes it’s a great film indeed hence my quote “what’s a Drexl?” Many moons ago I won best fancy dress at a pimps and hos party dressed as Drexl Spivey such is my love for the movie. Gary Oldman is amazing in Leon too. Interestingly Gary Numan is 13 days older than Gary Oldman.
