In these 4 steps i explain how to Build an employee onboarding system where you hire and keep good cleaners and/or staff. Hiring employees in the current economic climate with personnel shortages across the country in record numbers. Absolutely. You have to build according to the available resources of time/energy and money. If you have money because you’re working the. Invest in your business. If you dont have money the. You damn sure have time and energy.

Not off top. You can use unlisted youtube videos for free. And im sure they all have at least a trial. Just a google search away.

The specific site doesn’t matter. Its which ever one works for you. Do some research google for some then look at youtube reviews. Do the work. Research and learning is always a part of a boss’s work.

When hiring an independent contractor, do you make one agreement with you and the company of the independent contractor, even if there are 4 cleaners in the company? What happens if you have a second job for them down the road, how would you adjust the aggreement?
The agreement shouldn’t change. Your agreement is with the company itself. Not its employees.

I believe you can. But you have to decide that this is what your doing. So that u stick to it until you figure it out. You will have to rely on your people skills and put trust in the right people. Understanding your piece of the pie will be bigger when you make a huge pie for everyone around you.

Do you have to provide insurance and workman comp when you add people to your payroll
Yes. Thats why its good to use a payroll system that handles all if that for you. I use QBO. But almost all of them will make reports for workers comp and stuff.

Something you may want to share with your followers that are just starting up..., a good way to get initial clients is to contact other cleaning companies and offer to sub-contract select jobs that they don't want or can't handle equipment wise. It's how I have gotten my initial work and other contacts.

Been looking for subcontractors and can’t seem to find any…. Unlicensed people calling me for the job so I’m always left to complete the job myself..
I learned a cool trick. Make a system for educating new subcontractors on getting legal. Then bring them on.
I want to ask do you use 1099 or w-2 employees? And do you think I could start with 1099 and migrate to w-2?
I only use w-2 employees. Id rather have a part time w2 than risk an audit having someone 1099 when they only work for me and dont clean anywhere else. Most people think 1099 means part time and w2 means full time. Thats not the case.
@@DJTheBoss Right I don’t have the funds to provide employees with supplies 🥺. I know 1099 contractors bring their own. Do you have a video on the hiring process, like how much it cost, taxes, and benefits?
@@DeniDaGem i'll have to make a new one. . its going to differ state to state but for me typically around an extra 31% is good to budget for.

Everything is a negotiation. Just make sure you dont give away more than you can afford. But sometimes its good to give a little.
Question, starting a cleaning business (commercial and or Resident) which Software do you recommend to use? and also as a sol propiator can i hiring employees?
You can hire employees as a regular U.S. citizen. Don’t even need to be a business. But in this context yes you can hire people. As for software you have to know what you want that software to do. We use several for different purposes.

You dont need a loan. You need to go sell and attract clients. Dont start off in debt. Start off making money.
Payroll is cheap. I pay just 44 a month for them to do it all for me. Super convenient

Most are full time. But there’s always a good amount of part time help. You can have full time or break it up it’s whatever makes you feel comfortable.
@@DJTheBoss is there any laws I will need to follow hiring full time ? All of my employees are part time . I don’t offer benefits vacation or time off . Will I have to provide these things for a full time employee?
Check your state laws. For us I believe sick time and pto is mandatory now in Washington.
When you first started to hire employees, do you pay them under table?
Nope. I was too scared someone would come for me and shut me down. So i always kept everything above board by the time i got help.
Hi, I am in the first year of my cleaning business in the UK and it's in great demand and I need to build. When training staff should they be paid for that training? I'm thinking of training at my house to keep outgoing costs down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I dont know what the laws are in that area. But here in the states we have to pay for training. So I usually train on site at jobs with pay because they will still be completing the work. But thats after an online introductory training as well. If you have the option to train with out pay then go ahead. But people may only be willing to train if they’re paid. Look around your industry for the standard there and make a decision.

Imagine firing someone because they were trouble. I don't think it's a good idea to train at your home. Then again you're in the u.k. maybe yall don't have crazy people issues lol

Careful with the contractors. If they’re 1099 make sure they have other work besides you. Otherwise you’re going to want to make them w-2 employees. Start with your ein and bank account. Then duns number, store/vendor credit then you can start getting actual credit cards, funding etc…. I’ll do a video. Good question. DONT GO INTO TOO MUCH DEBT.

Hiring the right people to go into other peoples houses to clean…. Not under charging clients, so that I actually have money to pay out(coz some clients are cheap 😏),

My boyfriend did you to talk with him. He's a subcontractor for a janitorial service. He continues to lose employees and unfortunately left to clean the buildings himself. He stretched which is repolarizing his contracts. He's stubborn but not insight. Please contact him.
He can reach out to me anytime. But I’m not going to track him down to help him with his business. Building a business is something he has to want for himself enough to seek out information and execute on it.

How do I start with hiring? I understand how to hire and further steps but do I need a contract to make them my employees? If yes, who can help me with making such contract? Do I need to provide salary slips? I mean how to put a good cleaner on my company's payroll, from scratch?
You should definitely have an agreement for your employees to sign acknowledging the job duties and pay. You can google search for a template and customize it for yourself. Then take it to a lawyer to finalize it for you.

@@isuhrealmaki6557 google "daycares near me" make a list of all every one within a 60 mile radius of you. Also if you can find an email from their website. do the same for law offices. then reach out to them all via phone and email.do that until you get an opportunity to introduce your business.
