35:14 Clarification to everyone, I was Zac's neighbour and gifted him a fish which he sold for one gold and did the selection of his pickaxe upgrade in his head and just forgot to cross it out. Hope it helps 👍😄😄
While I commend the awesome effort in design, the game succumbs to the flaw of the Flip and Write genre and combos in general: Floating actions or resources can easily escape object permeance leading to actions that are not legal and nearly impossible to undo (see 28:00 where he forgets to pick up his animals but also forgot to remove his first egg when he gave it to his neighbor, thereby giving him an unfair advantage in scoring and ruinong his run). Why developers refuse to acknowledge this flaw and mitigate it is disappointing and borderline suspicious at this point.
With the instant resource spending, I can see how gaining multiple resources at a time can quickly get confusing. I.E. “I have this milk and I sell it for coins and I use those coins to complete an upgrade and completing that upgrade gets me X and X gets me Y and…what was I doing again?”. It would be awesome to see some tools or guides to keep track of that stuff!! But otherwise I’m very excited for this game.
I cannot wait:):):) Also a suggestion! You should orient the badges so that the wood and mine badges match the orientation of the fishing badges. Though you may have already tried it I feel like it would be simpler to follow for some of my friends that take a bit longer to pick up games:)
The scratch offs is interesting. I tend to go for roll and writes that I can keep "forever". So the scratch paper might not work well for me, unless there is a way to reuse it? Not sure.
I believe there is 50 scratch of sheets, so if you are doing games of 3, 4, 5, or 6 players it would mean you need to play 16, 12, 10, or 8 games respectively to run out of scratch off sheets. I am not sure about the frequency of your board game sessions but for my group and I that is a lot considering we have a bunch of other games to play too. Edit: forgot to mention they have a digital app which the players can use for the scratch off sheets (the mining and cave) so you don't even necessarily need the physical sheets.
It would be nice if the white animal faces that don’t reset had an up arrow so you could turn to a dark face after using it to help keep track of everything being used.
do you think the woods need a buff? the medals don’t seem to incentivise it enough in this copy (although i did notice that the woods now have geodes on the web app).
It looks like the entire medals sheet has changed since this demo. The tutorial video shows the correct page and even seems to go back to this one for a single icon (I suspect they will be bringing over from this page). So I am pretty sure the one in the how to play video/kickstarter images is the near final one.
Howdy, as a fan of any X & write games, this one got me really inrigued. Got question about the scratch-offs. Are they all the same underneatch the removable layer or the patters are different? Cheers
Hahaha yeah I was so confused when he said "we didn't unlock river fishing" then immediately went river fishing. In Zac's defense, it's pretty hard to perfectly play a game while doing a teach!

Tick up*
1:13:00 Zac: "We haven't fished in the river yet, oh, which we never actually unlocked". He then immediately fishes in the river. LMAO.

Omg I am so excited for this game!! It looks incredible. Thanks for the solo playthrough!!
I'm so excited for this!!! Love the studio and love the creativity coming out of there!!!

Didn't play the same seed but played along and got a score of 238. This game is amazing, time to beat that score now.
Been enjoying my games of Tend!
Instantly backing this game. When are you guys hoping to deliver?
July!
Take adrink whenever Zac says "folks"

@@DaniCha we’ve created this, for that very reason! tend-scratch-off.iv.studio

@@IVGamesStudio awesome, I backed the game and can’t wait to cover it on my channel :)
@@Ping_JJT7 thanks for providing the numbers. That is definitely plenty and also with the app, I am convinced!! I backed it :)

19:38 can you not use two energy bar on the same turn?
@@play_fever you can! Just not on the same task.
@@IVGamesStudio i see. thanks for explaining. can’t wait for kickstarter launch!!!

There are 25 different patterns, making them effectively fully randomized!
@@IVGamesStudio that is awesome! Thanks!
I wish this game will come to tabletop simulator like the other ones - it looks SO great! And i would love if having the money for the real game !
They said on the discord that it will be up when the campaign starts
It’s currently available to playtest in our discord on TTS and the mod will most likely be public on launch day!
Am I missing something, or is Zach missing a resource and hadn't actually fixed the broken bridge?
Wait is it on TTS finally??

**roasting Zac for missing the Z coin**
Thank you for your service
Hey Zac, is it true that if you really really want something so much, you don't have to pay for it?
Asking for the pick axe stans out here ⛏️ 😂
There was so much cheating going on towards the end of this game.
Name and shame
