1995 Club Car. Stopped pulling. Found it only had 36 volts on 48 volt cart. Charged it up, but still won’t move. Reverse buzzer comes on, but nothing.

On a 2007 clubcar precedent does tow mode disable the cart from moving.

@@jakurt9458 yes anytime you put it in tow it kills all power. So the cArt won’t mine. Unless you push it. If the cart ever breaks down, you put it in tow to tow it home or push it home. Don’t never push or tow the golf cart unless you have it in tow mode or if you’re going away for several months and you put it into so it won’t drain the battery. The whole time is in run.

I have a 1999 Club Car 48V, brand new batteries, and I was driving it the other day and everything was fine. Backed up and then put it back in drive and now all I have is it clicks. The wheels will jolt forward for a split second and when jacking up the rear end they spin maybe a 1/4 turn and then it stops. I have checked all voltage and tried checking the power through the solenoid and it seems to be working properly. Any help is much appreciated.

Do you have a volt meter If so watch the video I posted. I would check voltage on the controller or solenoid and check each wire on motor

I have a club car (12 yo Precident) with a peculiar problem. Before I start any trouble shooting maybe you can point me to the most potential source of the problem. After overnight charging the cart usually runs great, but sometimes it acts as if it didn't charge. It will run a few minutes then start herky-jerkying (stop-start repeatedly), especially if it is heading up an incline. After a brief rest it will go again for a short distance then it repeats the problem. Does that sound like a bad/weak battery or a charger that isn't always charging adequately? It has 6 batteries wired in series so that makes it a 72 volt? I know a bit about electricity but this is the first golf cart I've ever driven/owned. Any advice on which direction to proceed would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have watched this video several times while going back and forth to my unit (so helpful....THANK YOU!)...mine has been surging and not wanting to go most of the time. I replaced all the batteries with new ones and replaced the solenoid. I have a 92 Club Car DS 36v with V-Glide and I have no voltage at the FNR microswitch top or bottom unless I hit the GO pedal, do you think I need a new FNR switch?...I also had voltage at all 4 of the large cables with in in forward, same with it in reverse (based on your video, fwd should power red cable and reverse should power purple - mine are both powered when in gear at the same time). No voltage on either of the small posts of the solenoid (until I press pedal) and voltage on both of the large posts (in fwd, without touching pedal)...Thanks for any help you can offer!

When you hit the gas and it doesn’t want to go does the sol click. Also when you said it surges does it ever shake in when you first take off. Also is it running right now

I have installed a 48/12v converter on my 2005 clubcar precedent, where do i terminate the negative side of the 12v converter? Is there a common ground point. Cant follow the downloaded wiring diagrams with the spaghetti of wire. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

    • @HeyHeyHey97

If there’s not a ground output, coming from the converter. You would hook the ground to the main negative.

Thanks. But just to clarify my understanding cause I am not electrically gifted. The 12v black negative wire coming from the 48/12 converter can be attached to the negative terminal of the last 12v battery in the 48v pack, same one where the negative cart power system (48v) attaches? There was only one wire originally terminated to the first battery-positive terminal to run the lights and accessories. No single black wire was attached/found to the respective battery-negative. All of the accessories worked before I installed the reducer.@@HeyHeyHey97

I have a 98 club car ds. I am only getting 4v going to key switch. The people who had it before me broke and wire and added onto the green wire going to the key switch and it shorted out where they spliced the wire and touched the metal frame. Now I only got 4v going to key switch and the charging system doesn't work. Think it blew the OBC?
