That can be a crazy busy trail i usually head up there before light and do the second top lake as most people dont do that one. also on the far side of the lake at 9 mins there is a back trail that goes down to lillian . just about never see anyone on that side.

Yes that trail is crazy with people sometimes. I have done it a couple more times after I made this video. Still have toake it to the second lake up top. Thanks for the info on the second trail down. Will give that a try next time. Thank you for watching and commenting.

@@LIVEONALBERTA The second lake is usually very quiet and as you leave that one the other down trail goes along the right hand side, so great views down that side and no people until you get to Lillian. just watched your washotch trail one i should give that a go been past in many many times but never done that one.

Thanks for the info. I definately recommend Wasootch Ridge. I still have to go back and do that one someday to get further up the ridge😁

LIVE ON ALBERTA Great hike definitely! Went until the second lake though, too much snow after that point (to be honest, there was a plenty of snow from Lilian Lake to the first Galatea Lake)! The views are amazing! Thanks for the video, it’s nice to see in person what I have watched in your video!

    Did it today.
That 1.1 km from Lilian lake to Galatea Lake was the hardest strech

But it was worth it for the views😀

I drove by there today and I saw the parking lot was full. I hiked Rae Glacier today.

@@LIVEONALBERTA so total trip return including lunch stop, is about 10 hr? ... auch! Do you recommend ppl to stay up there camping instead?

My total time was 7 hours and 45 minutes. This included lunch and time to take pictures and video. There is a back country campground at Lillian lake that seems quite nice. I think the majority of people do this as a day hike.

Hi Cary, I hear there is a washroom on Lillian Lake , is this true ? I hike with women and they think twice about the hike is there is no washroom. Thank you again for all your time and have a great Monday!

There are pit toilets at the campsite at Lillian Lake, if going make sure you bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer, as they are not being serviced very well right now, with Covid 19.
