I'm glad that she described the conditions in and around which the event takes place - that short film of her finishing on a surfaced road could mislead. A towering achievement regardless of gender.
It’s not just about the 130+ miles. It’s more about the navigation, terrain, sleep deprivation, vertical feet, among other things. I think it’s the single hardest feat a human can currently do.
Thousands of ultra runners who devote their life to this , have failed to complete the five loops in the cut off time. Those that have succeeded, have probably done something that only one in ten million are cabable of doing if they made the superhuman effort to train to do this thing. This young lady has unimaginable levels of perseverance to succeed in this gruelling monster of a race.I am inspired by this achievement, it shows you what can be done with willpower.
That's some going, well done to her.......Also get Russ Cook aka Hardest Geezer some media coverage....that fella has been running the full length of Africa for over a year, and no one has heard off him.....he only has 800k left, and raised over £300k for charity
an inspirational superhuman lady! Achieving a feat only a handful on earth could ever accomplish - I cannot even imagine how it felt to stop at that gate....
The first and only woman. It's incredibly difficult terrain. 100 miles is done by thousands of women every single year.... Only one woman did this. And they said it was impossible
Well, about 1/3 of it is on actual trails. For the rest, you have a map and directions that Laz gives you 1 hour before the race starts. You have to work out how to get to each of 11 checkpoints where you must pull a page out of a book that marks the checkpoint (you pull the page # corresponding to your bib #). You cannot have GPS nor an altimeter, but you can have a watch with time, # steps, and you get a compass.
Sports Personality of the Year right there ......... no one else need apply.

Most people think it is 130 miles. I’ve ran 100+ ultras. Six hours for 50 miles. I’d never be able to do this one. It is super human. Well done!
You never got invited

@@jimsonjohnson3761 I’d never be invited. I ran for Canada on the national ultramarathon team and finished over 100 ultras. You?
@@Rodrigorodriguez20241 I think it’s the hardest one in North America.
@@jimsonjohnson3761 it's not an invitation race, anyone can apply but you wouldn't know because you're just a sad troll 😢

what a remarkable human being. so inspiring.
The greatest sporting achievement in womens sports ever
I’m no royalist, but surely she’s a Dame. A woman, person of the ages.
No. In this age of artificiality she is the genuine product. She’s not a Kim Kardashian wastrel. She’s the real deal.
Actresses get them, yes.
Mtf of course, an it's a fictional tale
The fact that it's done by you fills me so much with proudness - so modest and down to earth , plan by God really
The algorithms from the adventures of
Russ cook
brought me here
Bang bang
Congratulations ❤
Congrats Jasmine!
She amazing. Superwoman stuff.
Absolute legend

Over 400k now
an inspirational superhuman lady! Achieving a feat only a handful on earth could ever accomplish - I cannot even imagine how it felt to stop at that gate....
Fake as fuck
MtF, lady not a woman, and the fairy tale ending is because it's fictional
What an awesome woman. Just goes to show, with determination women can achieve what seems impossible. So inspirational.
A monumental feat; she'll inspire many to tackle what seems impossible, and ultimately overcome it.
Her resting hear rate must be insane
Probably just beats once a day. Maybe twice if she is stressed. ;-)
It is incredible, that's all I can say. with out doubt sports personality of the year.
16 people have only ever finished Barkley
20 now, 17th was last year and 3 new finishers this year.
The first and only woman. It's incredibly difficult terrain. 100 miles is done by thousands of women every single year.... Only one woman did this. And they said it was impossible
Amazing.
You did it for the plant-based movement too, great example!!
This all on an unmarked course? I guess thats the mystique of the race, RD.

@@bobdavidson756 But whatever happens to be on trails that year isn't marked. It is all an orienteering course made by the devil himself.
The running is hard enough. In the dark, cold, maybe even wet. But to navigate under those conditions as well?
Beautiful woman too. Wow. Speechless.
Exactly the type who should be in the House of Lords
What precisely would she bring to the job? In what way does running and being a vet prepare you for line-by-line scrutiny of proposed laws?
@MikeAG333
Have you ANY idea of the clueless, corrupt gimps who make up the house of lords?
Yes… these things can only be learned from hereditary ties

Some serious filtering going on there, if not a full AI double.
