Any game that allows you to commentate on current events and make deep decisions is something I'll enjoy tbh. Starsector might be hard to get footage for in a similar way to Kenshi, so Oblivion would be a cool change of pace if you wanted to play it.

I do love Kenshi but honestly anything you enjoy playing would be just as good.
Imagine how successful Martin Luther could have been if he marketed it as "Better Catholicism" instead of "Protestantism"

That intro and the bgm at the start makes me think that I was at the wrong channel (especially the part where you go "we're going to create a new religion. Yes! A new religion!) and thought it was going to be a totally balanced gameplay of crusader kings

Sounds like a movie from 2009. The Pope dies so they have to get his brother, Frank Pope, to take his spot. Played by Zach Galifianakis
Seth Rogan is the old pope, he has like five scenes alive where the whole joke is that he smokes weed and popes don’t normally do that.
He visits Frank a few times in the film as a ghost using bad TV effects and sound effects and gives bad advice but Frank some how gets value from it and learns to meet the stuffy old cardinals halfway. He does his job but with his own spin.
Oh and he meets a pretty lady at some point and that relationship is the icing in the cake.
I absolutely believe that those screen writers thought that the title of "Pope" is inherited through your surname, like a 10th century serf 😂

Really happy to see a creative CK3 run. I love this game, but most creators don't have very entertaining ways to play it. Kudos AA.

I think the Holy Site in Cologne is Kölner Dom, a massive cathedral housing the Dreikönigsschrein.
The reliquary is a triple sarcophagus believed to house the bones of the Three Wise Men. It was originally located in Constantinople, but Emperor Constantine decided to house it in Milan. Almost one thousand years later, Kaiser Barbarossa of the Holy Roman Empire decided that it should be in Cologne.
The timeline doesn't match very well, but I am not super familiar with the Holy Roman Empire, so this is the closest match I got.
Now as far as I know, the Wise Men in question were never specified in number, but it might be part of Catholic doctrine, I cannot say.

I think your opening line of this video is why I been enjoying your videos so much. Although I find project zomboid to have less narrative game play elements, but the game you typically play allow you flourish with your interpretations and ate genially enjoyable.

My favorite CK2 thing was when the pope was secretly a sunni muslim
Beautiful. An inverse of this where you start as a backwater count with negative traits and become emperor would be a hard challenge. You would want to do tribal pagan or Islamic clan for casus belli. A TH-camr started as a eunuch in ck2 with the challenge to restore his manhood, for example.
If you continue this challenge you really need to give away some of your personal holding - make new vassals or give to your sons. You get a severe penalty to income and levy size across all holdings when you are over the limit. IIRC it's 20% reduction per holding over.
I imagine a boxing referee going between the pope and anti-pope: "listen, we want a good clean schism here - keep it above the belt, obey my instructions at all times. Now touch hats and lets get started"
4 minutes long of deep philosophy just for character creation. Eventually look like a hermit worth of 20-30 years old of lushful beard and hair, while just 25 years old.

Start with a character that's a cannibal and start innnnn denmark or somewhere that has an elective inheritance system. Then try and conquer tHe WeStErN wOrLdDdd
- Ramayana challenge? play as the demon king of sri lanka. Play an intrigue character. The goal is to conquer india, but before you can declare war on a ruler you have to successfully kidnap their wife.
- not really a "challenge" idea, but the most fun playthrough I've had thus far in ck3 was playing as Daura in Africa I'm 867. A whole dynasty of witchy queens taking over Africa. It was pretty great
