Make a PayPal Sandbox Account For Woocommerce (Payment testing)

- I’ll show you how to make a PayPal Sandbox Account for Woocommerce so you can test your orders and transactions. And at the end of the video, I’ll show you where you can create test credit cards for PayPal.
We will set up a personal account; with this, you can pay for test products and a business account, which is the one that you need to have on your webshop, so you can receive test payments.
How to set up PayPal with Credit Cards:
Setup PayPal test account in Woocommerce (WordPress) in summary:
1. Signup for PayPal developers account - for this you will need an existing account.
2. Create a personal PayPal sandbox account which you can then use to pay for test orders.
3. Set up a business sandbox account, which you will need to link it to the Woocommerce test environment.
4. Then we will install the API keys from PayPal to Woocommerce.
5. I’ll show you how to generate credit cards in PayPal and use them to do a test order.

Very informative thanks. I setup similar test, payment was accepted by PayPal sandbox but the order status shows "On hold". Shouldn't it be "Competed" like your test did.
yeah it should be "completed"

sorry it's not clear what you mean. You can use sandbox in your code. And when you go live you need to swap it with real merch account.

it's not clear where you see this? But in any case reachout to paypal, they should be able to help.
Something doesn’t look right. Your payment to this merchant can’t be completed using PayPal. Choose another way to pay.

Not sure, I haven't tried. From quick google search it doesn't seem to be possible.
after testing, should it need to turn off or not required?
in woocommerce turn it off, otherwise you won't get real money :)
