Great little review. Very interested in seeing the other tools. My brother in law is a framer and carpenter and turned me onto kobalt as a budget hobby brand. He is a Milwaukee fan. Ive been happy with kobalt for the mild remodeling i have done on 3 homes. Definitely have been watching hyper tough develop for the past couple years. Id love to make an off road set for camping and trails etc.
I just got this little router on clearance for $20. Hadn't been opened, returned or anything. I'll be using it tonight, but so far, from checking it out, for a 12v tool, it feels great. I have the 12v HT ratchet ($22 on clearance) and the 20v screw gun (the one in the project kit) ($14 on clearance, was missing one set of bits) and for what they are, I love them. No failures yet, but I don't take them to work with me. They are home DIY tools. Thanks for the review!
I bought the Hyper Tough 12v ratchets several months ago. I don't use them every day, but I really like them. These new brushless tools are very intriguing. Can't wait to see your reviews on the other tools. I have my eye on the cutoff tool myself.
I bought the hyper tough ratchet a few months ago for the heck of it and it impressed me so I picked up this little router and for small projects I really like it👍👍
I have the 12v brushless drill I think its good the brushless oscillating tool think its good also then the compact recip which I didn't think was all that great but hyper tough has stepped up a lot with their new brushless line
I have been buying these since last Christmas. I love them. My favorite is the cordless ratchet. I’m tempted to buy the long reach just cause I like the little one so much.
i love the impact Because of the Size and weight very very light and small and yes the cost is amazing tooo.. The thing I love about hyper tough tools is that every single one of their tools comes with batteries 😁 You will never run out and I went ahead and purchased the fast charger for the batteries aswell
I’m not a pro and just keep tools around for simple house hold fixes and car work so the hyper tough line is awesome for my a few times a year I need it set up. Got the brushless impact and the long reach ratchet as well as the regular drill and impact. Looking to grab the 3/8 impact wrench when they drop in price again or it comes in a 2 piece kit so I can save some bucks. Also love the 2 and 4 amp batteries and the fast charger.
Liked and subscribed! I am trying to make a 3d printed tenon jig for this router. If you have a Digital Caliper can someone provide me the diameter of the spindle without the clear base attached. My local Walmart doesn't have it in stock to check myself. Thanks!
Hyper Tough 12V Max* Lithium-Ion Cordless Variable Speed Rotary Tool is also on sale at $25.00. Managers price clearance items differently with one store pricing the router at $20.00 yet not putting solar lighting on sale while every other store dropped the price and sold all solar inventory.

I use those other brands too and love them. But I keep grabbing the hyper tough.
Brother, get the four amp hour battery it’ll help a lot

I’m still looking for the cut off saw. Can’t find it yet. May have to just order it.
Nice little router. Thanks for showing. I have tried the 3/8" Impact, Cut-off tool and Ratchet and they are excellent for the price.

I do commercial, heating and air for a living. I have the impact and I have put it through hell and back and it still runs like the day I got it.
Same here I love that impact.

It’s good stuff. It really allows a guy to have multiple tools and get things done.
Nothing like a video watching the back of your hand
I wonder if the 12 volt batteries are compatible with any other 12v platforms, like Bosch or Dremel. ?
Probably not without modification.

Don’t sleep on these 12v hyper tough tools .
I just got lucky and bought this router on clearance for over 50% off at my local Walmart! I paid less than $30! I can't wait to try it!

Pinkie dude.
Idk , we'll see I guess. Not my cup of tea but if it works....why not
Definantly not for a big job.
It needs a wider base to balace better. It should have been variable speed
