What is LEGO Modular?
LEGO Modular is a subculture within the LEGO community that revolves around the creation of modular buildings. These structures, often meticulously detailed and designed, resemble real-life urban architecture, spanning from quaint corner cafes to towering skyscrapers. The hallmark of LEGO Modular lies in its modular nature-each building can be detached, rearranged, and combined with others to form a cohesive cityscape.
LEGO Modular sets typically feature multiple levels, intricate interior details, and a high level of customization, allowing builders to infuse their personality and style into every brick. From ornate facades adorned with intricate details to cozy interiors bustling with activity, LEGO Modular buildings encapsulate the essence of urban life in miniature form.

75342 is the biggest 2023 EOL fail in Poland. Market is full, it is 39$ right now and there is no demand.
Amazon…can’t live with can’t live without 😠 Thankfully I only have 1 of the Medieval Blacksmith sets. What is the best way to predict which “retired” sets they’re going amass like this?
Honestly, diversification.
Great video content Jim! Folks also need to remember this is why a good buy price is so important. A ‘stinker’ can still be a great investment at the right price. I have 20 Galaxy Explorers with an average buy price of $38. I’m good with that! 🤑
Thanks for the great video and content!
Thank you!
I bought Galaxy Explorers at Walmart for $32 bucks...I'll do ok
I avoided the Raider and the Explorer and of course the Treehouse that would never die. Also stayed clear of the Pizza Slice Sith Set, what a goofy looking fighter. The only question I have unresolved is which will do better out of these clear winners in the $180 price range, the Bookshop or the Blacksmith (Discount Old Fishing Store). The surprising winner from recently retired sets is the Minecraft Llama Village. Who would have thought the challenger to Wonder Woman Vs Cheetah for worst set was also a Wonder Woman set, from SDCC 2020.
Does focusing on Target/Walmart/Lego Store exclusives protect against ending up with zombie stock?
yes! my experience is that youll have sets disappear by the end of the actual year and/or whatever is left on shelves before the LEGO vendor resets the bay
Problem with exclusives is amazon search supresses many of them and this effects you even if you do not sell on amazon.
Thanks
Maybe the blacksmith will sell out on Amazon before q4 hits
Hopefully!
What you resellers fail to realize is that when you buy up all these sets, it lets lego know that they are selling and they produce more and more sets. Those sets than sit on shelves, and retailers end up sending them back. Lego then sells them to amazon. So amazon ends up with all of the inventory for years after the retirement of the set. You only have your selves to blame for this issue. If only you would leave the sets on the shelves, so people can find them on shelves and enjoy the sets at retail value.
Thanks. Been doing this for over a decade and haven't realized that.
Most recently sets that were scheduled to retire with in weeks got bought out because of this and Lego then extends its shelf life another 2 years because they are "selling" like the star wars "retiring sets" after the May 4th sale.
Thanks!
Thanx! I've been watching your TH-cam videos for the last 4 years 👍😊👌
Awesome! Thanks!
Thxs!
Blacksmith set - Not a 'zombie' set in the uk, Jim. Well above rrp / discounted rrp people bought for. Decent investment in the uk....
I have a Blacksmith and I'm really looking forward to building it. Such a nice Lego set IMO.
This is why I love selling really limited funko pops because I’ve made 30k selling pops so far and some some pops for $1000 and a lot for $500 or more. And honestly most of the pops I’ve made money on are the new limited pieces, I still have like 150 old ones to sell, along with 40 new limited piece ones and then like 200 funko sodas and probably 30 to 50 of those are rare limited pieces
Nice!
Funko is absolutely dead 😂
Thanks Jim!
I'm already regretting purchasing 75573 Avatar Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson, even if it was half price.
Could have been worse though, I could have bought 76155 Marvel The Eternals In Arishem’s Shadow and 76156 Marvel Rise of the Domo which were 'last chance' for about a year and a half.
Thank you
Great video and I love the shirt! I saw that movie in the theater when I was 13. Shoutout to Rowdy Roddy Piper!
Thanks!
What creates the zombie sets? Is it resellers keeping the price low on Amazon? Is there something in common about those zombie sets to help predict future ones?
Look at the many zombie sets this year almost looks like amazon watches top sets to invest on videos.
@@coreytpregent2360 Very true
Thanks.
Thanks ❤️👍
Thanks jim
I’m hoping for a steep price drop for the Batman Animated Series art piece. I can’t justify it at $300 but maybe $200. I wonder how popular it’s been?
I hope you're right!
set 75240 … sure wish I had more … sold many of them and never less than $1800 / each
Nice!
Lego 51515? Lots of people missed out on this set 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Decent video, Jim. I think one of the worst zombie series recently was Prince of Persia. There were some great minifigures, ostrich, and pieces, but nobody wanted it because the film was a turkey.
Oh yeah, Prince of Persia was crazy. Hope you didn't have too many.
@wolfofbricks I had castle of alamut and approx 5 each of the other sets. Managed to almost break even in getting rid of them. I still have one Sands of Time BNISB left in my cupboard but cannot be bothered with it. Annoys me, lol.
It just retired. lol, give it some time.
tree house is so dead, too long on the market and everyone, i know, who is investing in lego, has at least 2 of them ^^
Hope you don't have many of them.
Anyone who buys lego sets just to sell for triple the price once it retires are true pos lmao
Don't forget to subscribe!
Hi Jim - The Tree House is at least on the brick fanatics list for 2024 - whether it will stay there or not though, who knows?
Interesting. Thanks!
Marvel is definitely better than DC
BLOCKED!
Thanks!
