    I realized that alcohol is the basis of all the impulses to consume much of the drugs, I have not drunk for 5 months and since I made this decision I confirmed that after all, alcohol, "a legal drug", is a catalyst for the impulse to use drugs, despite to feel lucky to have never lost the mastery of my professional and family life, I always keep my humility in front of everything that is vicious because nobody is better than a vice.
    To all who make their testimonies on this channel I want you to know that you have all my respect for such courage, for admitting an addiction is not an easy thing.
    Sorry for the writing, it is translated by google.
    greetings to all
    Daniel

      I couldn’t agree more, every impulse comes loose for me if I start drinking, there is a strong correlation with alcohol/ drugs at least in my brain. Well said man and I appreciate this message.

    Thank you for your story. I'm 10 days opioid free today. God is good, thank you so much for this channel, it indisputably compelled me to draw the line in the sand. 32 years of circular substance abuse came down to a single word, NO and the Lord Jesus took that NO and multiplied it. For those stuck in the dark of withdrawal, God says, "we are fearfully and wonderfully made". Believer or not, your body fights for you and needs your mind as a back up, you absolutely can do this. God bless.

      Sudhanshu, Reduce negative thoughts. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, eyes closed, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight with your thoughts. Slowly they will reduce and relax the mind. No deep inhalation-exhalation needed. Anytime of the day or night before sleep sit or lie down on your back and observe your breath. Be as still as possible as it reduces negative thoughts. Make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

    Damn, I relapsed on meth last night. Was only sober a few weeks but still, there's always regret attached to these substances. I'm 30 yrs old, been isolated most of my life and looks like I could be homeless again in a few weeks. Gotta just do whatever I can to rise above these habits that lead to relapse.

    December 26th will be 3 years since I’m clean, I’ve done it pretty much myself, aside from help of my girl. I’ve never went through 12 steps or any na meetings, groups, detoxes. Never relapsed. One thing though I do feel alone, even after three years I feel lonely in sobriety, I don’t know if I should reach out to people that going through same thing as I am, idk if it’s too late for me starting this group or if I even belong there. I do feel very alone, because everyone who I kept around me never experienced any type of addiction so it’s hard for me to talk to them sometimes. I cut off all of my friends, everyone I grew up with, even the ones that never did any drugs or suffered from addiction. So aside from my close family members and my girlfriend I’m literally alone on this path. My family, they think my journey of getting clean is over, since I haven’t used or relapsed in 3 years but I feel like I still need at least someone to talk to who can relate to me. What do you guys think? I really need help with this situation of mine. What should I do?

      @youtooaromatherapy1897 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Daniel. Firstly, congratulations on staying clean, what an achievement, be proud of yourself if you can, I understand that that isn't always easy. Sobriety is lonely if you're doing this by yourself, so find a meeting or a group of some kind as feeling lonely is very normal. You can be brave and do this with others too who understand that loneliness. Of course nothing is as lonely as using but some of us need to find our path without feeling like that and find those who truly understand. We may have the most amazing family and friends which is a huge thing but having the support of a group can really put your sobriety into the right gear and set you up to being able to feel a part of the world again. Sobriety is hard, so reach out and understand that there's always someone there for you if you're willing and if you should need them. Take good care of yourself and keep reminding yourself that you're not alone and your sobriety is your achievement, you did that with will power and a strength that comes from someone who has the ability to fight for their life 💕
