I was 12 years old, in 1976 when this song first came out, and I was blown away!!! Even today, 44 years later, I still get goosebumps! Watching people hear it for the first time reaffirms my love for the song!

@@MrsPenPal Yes, all about how Queen was told by record companies the song was no good! To long, at 6 1/2 minutes, and it was opera, not rock! The guy that plays lead singer Freddie Mercury is fantastic, and the surviving members of the real band loved it! A fantastic story!

Probably the best rock band of all time , great reaction, watch the movie bohemian rhapsody and you will get an insight in to the band
Just remember it is a drama, not a documentary, so should be viewed as taking a whole lot of literary license, with a lot of facts mixed up or just wrong. But it is a fun movie and I really enjoyed it.
I’d recommend watching Queen: Days of our Lives before watching the “Biopic”.

This came out in 1975 when I was 12, and it's still one of my favourites. I found out years later that Freddy wrote it around the time of his "coming out", and the references to death were about him "killing" his "old self" that had conformed to his family's expectations, and letting his "real self" come forth. They performed for 20 minutes in front of an audience who came to see the 20 (?) different Acts that day but they had the whole crowd in the palm of their hands.

If you want to see more Queen, try "Who wants to live forever " off their Highlander album. It will blow you away. I just saw your reaction videos today and appreciate your perspective of different eras of music. I was raised in this time and heard many of the greats, but if you liked this era and the era of The Righteous Brothers, try Louis Armstrong, " It's a Wonderful World ". These are truly amazing songs.
This song is considered to be a modern masterpiece in par with classical composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Chopin, Brahms and so forth.

Sweetie, as somebody said for your birthday get yourself some headphones. For bohemian rhapsody you missed a whole other layer to the song not having headphones. Also, in my opinion, somebody reacting to music has to have headphones so you can hear all the subtleties and nuances. This is freddie's song. It is the most iconic song by the most icon Group ever. Freddie was so far ahead of his colleagues then, which this was released in 1975, and he would still be leaps and bounds ahead of his colleagues now. I don't know where you heard Acapella and There is nothing pop music about this song. That is pure talent. No autotune no backing tracks, Just talent. Rhapsody means a piece of music in Several movements, sections, With an emotional Point of view.

Great comments! Great job! Now you understand why it was very gutsy for Angelina to tackle this song on AGT. This is an iconic song that most people are either scared of because it's hard not to be compared to the original. AJ was clever in her interpretation by totally personalizing her version and make it her own. I'm that sure that Freddy would of enjoyed that.

I first heard this amazing song and a lot of Queen's music when I was listening to my father's records while he was away at work cause the Tv was broken. I was maybe 8 at the time, been listening to all kinds of music from every genre ever since. He had one HELL of a record collection! That would've been around 1986 but this song has reached the top 10 and number 1 on the charts in multiple decades. A lot of kids in school only really first heard it and started talking about it after "Wayne's World" in 1992.

Yo, it wasn't "His group"! They were equals. He always said, when an interviewer called him the "Leader," that he wasn't the leader, just the "Lead singer." I just watched Queen change a Queen's life. Glad to see people expanding their knowledge of music. Very few people will even try and listen to many types of music they get stuck in a stereotype. Too much beauty in music to limit yourself. Carry on and learn to live your best life I say.

Considering what Mercury meant to the world of rock, "These aree Days of Our Lives" was his last recording when his body was racked by HIV- Aids. Beautifully prophetic. Anythingg else that strikes your fancy from huge history would be good. Also try the group Pentatonix, you will be amazed if you are not familiar with them.
