Pretty much got everything 👌thanks for the advice so nervous entering barber school I’ve been cutting hair for a while. know the do,s and donts. Biggest thing after I quit going to any barber shop was keeping my own tools sanitized and deep cleaned and keep machines properly lined and oiled up. Thanks once again 5 months before going in💪🏽
Great Video!! Great Recommendations I use them all Professionally. In Barber College back in the stone ages when I went 1998, we were NOT allowed to use guards AT ALL. We had detachable blade clippers (76's or Turbo 111's), Andis Masters, Andis Liners. Shears, Razor and Combs. Now what that did was allow us to learn to fade using blades (which cut very true and never warp like guards) along with fade combs. Thats the only difference. It taught us to do more with less and to save some time. We would go through the blades and detail with the Masters and a comb. It made me a lot better then I would have been starting with guards. I use them all NOW but it trained my "barbers eye" to see the haircut. Now as a licensed Barber I use everything except the foil shaver. But I am surprised they allow guards in Barber College now. They were a big no no while in school. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge! You are appreciated!! Be well!
I am barber school teacher, I am not eighty years old, but I didn't like those foil shavers a while ago. Until I tried it first time. :-D Now I recommend my students to have one.
That’s great! We’re always talking about how the shave steps are taught so heavy and a foil shaver not even mentioned! In my opinion it’s a work smarter not harder thing. Still should be able to use a razor, but in todays game a foil shaver can help a lot!
I’m a DIY barber for past 15 yrs. My corded Wahls blades rusted, and andis T trimmer motor went out. So, I’m looking to go cordless. Babylis, Andis masters, and cordless trimmers are too expensive. I don’t know how to fade, just low cut, and trim with my receding headline. So I def like your starter kit recommendations and will buy those instead. Thanks.
Slim lines are cool mine finally died after 2 years! Personally I’d order The silver pack from the pissed off barber, it’s about $130 usd and it comes with clippers, liners, foil shavers and a straight razor kit. It’s a great deal and it’s surprisingly professional quality. The clippers themselves are pretty much enhanced magic clips. And the liners are hitters
@@Seancutshair I agree.. but, it came with my kit. I bought the Wahl Seniors and andis trimmers a few months after using sterling 4. It broke my budget as a student.. but, worth it!
This was informative but the prices today are crazy i wish they were the same like in the video either way I shall still get some of these barber equipment
Curious which brand are those pink gloves and you also had a pink brush in a different video. I have the black phantom latex but looking for a similar one but different color.
Preciate the info, I’m starting barber school next week and the clipper n trimmer kit they have is the Wahl Sterling + Wahl Bullet or for an additional cost I can choose the Wahl Legend + Hero trimmer. What would you recommend g?
Magic clip more like $100-$120 but a perfect beginner tool Shaver like $60-70 Slimline $60-$80 And honestly don’t worry about expensive shears until you’re clientele starts going up. For now just get something from $60-$100 for practice

Rodolfo Mendez you got it bro! Just focus on locking in the basics, then repetition will get you all the way!

Yeah we weren’t allowed to use guards on our state board test. Could use them at school though but I had all those same tools when I went!

For a solid cordless clipper with a taper blade, I’d suggest Wahl Designer cordless for beginner barbers. I do agree on those slimlines!
Blake P bro designer is what I was looking for! I couldn’t think of the name!
@@Seancutshair Excellent, that was my first cordless clipper. Still works, but feels very weak compared to Senior and 1919.
Blake P couldn’t agree more 👌🏻
Couple things I would add to the list is a mirror, cape, neck strips, and a blow dryer
Lightbright Cutz true that! Appreciate the feedback!
That first design in the video is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥

May you tell me or make a video on how to clean the tomb 45 3 cartridge blade
Just take the cartridge out and throw the whole thing in the barbecide for a bit. Or wipe down with alcohol
Appreciate it fr💯💯💯💯
Thank you
Do a 2024 edition for this video.
Might have to!
Dope intro!
Thank you!
Will the tomb45 mat charge the starter cordless clippers you mentioned or no?
With the powerclips yes
I think I pulled some skin tags with my magic clip lol
Ouch!
Man all those prices shot way up after quarantine. Cant afford none of that lol
Bro it’s madness! It’s because they’re out of clippers. Should go back down.
I'm starting school soon
Good luck!!!
slimline pro is so cheap in the us compared to UK
Really!? Yeah super cheap here
Are cordless the best thing to suggest considering most state test to be licensed require corded clippers? Or am I completely wrong ..
I’ve never heard of a board requiring corded clippers.
@@Seancutshair some places it’s mandatory to make sure you won’t trip over a cord and take your clients ear off lmao
Do students get paid while in barber school?
Only tips if you get them
Probably a dumb question but what kind of alcohol do you use and where do you get it? Just subbed btw
We use cherry almond alcohol from Sally’s
here in Russia all this is very expensive for novice barbers
Hi from Qatar 🇧🇭🇧🇭🇧🇭🇧🇭🇧🇭👍🏼

magic clip 200$ magic taper 120$ razor 25$ wahl shaver 100$ trimmer andis 100$ everything else is even more expensive

Ant. Fadez I’ll do it now!
