- Not wanting to drop $500+ on a new bow press? This is my solution. Total price was just under $100 and a couple afternoons of welding and cutting after work. If you have any questions please leave a comment or email me. Thanks for watching

Not all heroes wear capes… great video and thanks for taking your time sharing your build!
Thanks for watching
I cant thank you enough for putting this together. I am almost complete with mine and so far its coming out great. The last thing for me to do is weld on little clip where the arms attach. I got my fingers from a friend who owns a CNC water jet cutter. Yesterday I finish drilled the 1/2 inch holes for the bolt and I also drilled and tapped the base to allow adjustment of the fingers individually. That part took the longest and I see that you didn't even have to do this. When I'm done I'll send you a pic. I am really looking forward to do my own bow work and tuning. PS> I'm also going to build a draw board. I've ordered the materials and am waiting on the parts from Amazon. I don't do any filming but thanks to people like you who do, I was able to get enough information to get started.
Thanks Again

I'm really glad I could help out, I'm also looking forward to seeing pictures of your press. Thank you for watching. Best of luck my friend
Looks great, well done.
I built a powered version of this press before. I sold it to my buddy. As for the fingers, you can apply 2 or 3 layers of shrink tubing and it holds up well and easy to replace.
Great build. Awesome to see a man doing something instead of paying.
Those Night Hawk presses come in handy in the field if something happens to your bow.
I used tool dip on my fingers. Worked awesome. Did maybe three layers.
Genius! I'm tired of running back and forth to town to get mine worked on, bows take a lot of abuse in boats and I usually need it done asap and most bow shops tend to be on the ruder side and won't listen to what you want to do with your bow and do it their way.
I hear you, my problem was the nearest shop was a 2 hour drive one way.
That’s really nice man. Nice fabrication.
Yes please make a parts list I would be gratefull
Nice!! I need to build one of these too
Awesome bow press. Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, and I appreciate you watching
Great job. Gonna start building mine this next week. 👍
oh hell yeah. thats awesome dude
I made one almost identical to that a year or so ago. I made my own fingers and covered them with hockey tape and sprayed plastic dip on them
Dude, I love it, I’m like you and I do all my own work, plz let me know what all I need to get everything together, awesome you got a follower!!!
Love it man
Plan and simple 👌 I'll be following this to a tee thanks
Not a problem thanks for watching
Groovie
All that is needed is a solid base, a solid arm on one end and a moving arm on the other
AND a piece of all thread to go in between them. I used 2x4’s Screw them solid to a piece of plywood on one end and hinge the other. Make cut outs for the pullies and you have a bow press
Using steel is great but not necessary
It just doesn’t take much to make a bow press. Heck I’m a hack and I did it successfully
....................
a press is needed only in case of assembling a compound bow, which has pocket bolts that do not allow the bowstring and cable to be completely loosened! if the bow is assembled and the cables and string need to be replaced or adjusted, it is enough to have an ordinary lighter or any object of the same size (wood, plastic) on hand
- we rest our knee on the Riser, pull back the bowstring by 7-10 cm, and insert the object into the block, which will rest against the shoulder when the bowstring is released.
Some good looking homeboy engineering there.
Man that’s a great job!!! Nice addition to your shop!!
Thanks, it's definitely been a game changer. Thanks for watching
@@lonsurez83 yes sir!! I wish I had the welding skill. Though I’m very interested in learning MIG and stick welding on my own, I would have to buy a unit to do this work. Thanks for your comment! Keep playing moving out great content. 🙏🏽
Nice share 😊
This is awesome!
Much appreciated amigo, and thanks for watching
Thanks l love it ❤ need one my self
Thank you for sharing. Happy shooting and hunting this upcoming season. May I get the parts list and cut list ... thank you
Look through the comments on here I made a "part 2" that gives all that information
I would like a parts list
And also how did you weld the bolts inside the 2" square tubing
That’s sweet. But I don’t no how to weld really. I work in carpentry so I have some skills but idk if I would be able to weld this. But it is awesome. I need to adjust my peep right now and this is all I need
Great video I'd like a parts list
nice ,very nice bow press bro !!!
Thank you and thanks for watching
Nice
I’d like a parts list
I would like to get a parts list because I lack a press and I have 3 bows in the house to work on and keep service
Look through the comments I attached a link to another video that has what your looking for
Where did you get the fingers From?? Yea a parts list would be appreciated. You got a new subscribe from me. Thanks in advance.
Hey could you give me the measurements of the steel and all thread looking to build one like this. Thanks bud looks good
Look through these comments, I posted a link to a video that has what your looking for
Do you think you could use a square tube trailer jack instead of building the screw piece with the all thread? Curious because I will be building one and wondering if that is a reasonable option.
I think it would work just fine, that was actually a thought of mine but I had the scrap metal and not the jack so I went with the scrap metal. I would make sure it opens enough to use on your bow. Good luck
can u throw me a parts list? much appreciated
Outstanding job. Can you post a video showing the internal part of the press and some over all dimensions. I have been thinking about making my self a press and I really like how yours has come out.
Thanks for watching and commenting, I'll get it pulled apart and posted this weekend,
@@lonsurez83 Thank you that would be great
wow dude this is bad ass Im wanting to make my own bow press. Im not knowledgeable on everything you were talking about but, if by any chance can you show the inside of the press. Im just a little confused of how that works. Thanks for your time
I will take some pictures of it and post them down here in the comments tomorrow afternoon
@@lonsurez83 thank you sir much appreciated

@@lonsurez83 it does, thank you.. it was the same one I found earlier this week, I was hoping yours was cheaper! Lol
But now at least I know someone who's used them are having good luck with them
The ones I originally bought were cheaper but I can't find that specific set anymore. I'm guessing it was the only set the vendor had
@@lonsurez83 just a heads up to anyone looking to buy these...
My total on the cost was $101.18 including tax and shipping (to Michigan)
6 day delivery time
There was only 2 in stock when I ordered, so should only be 1 left..
Could I get a parts list from you
I put a link in the comment section
Can I have a copy of your diagram please
Pse is where it's at
Do you have any blueprints?
There is a link in the comments that I posted. It's a video going over the parts I used
