I set up chalk where the ribs thigh and head would be and got at it, just got back from the gym after an hour of lifting and a half hour of training. You inspired me during quarantine.
Happy to have helped!
Heavy bag + Running + Padwork. 2x a day. 6x a week. Result: Cortical Remodelling.
There you go
Yes
My first bag was the standing FightCamp bag. For the first few weeks, my shins would get all sore & bruised kicking it. After that, it basically stopped happening at all. Next, I bought the Fairtex HB13 (angular, mushroom-shaped bag), & found that kicking it, especially while it's moving, is harder on my shins than the FightCamp bag, so I'm back to bruising & being sore for now. Hopefully, it'll go away again soon lol
Do you have an update on your shins my good sir?
@@XyzXyz-pm2rj They're holding strong, brother! Since posting my original comment, I've purchased & hung a Fairtex HB6 banana bag & filled it to the point of weighing somewhere between 130-150 (I sort of lost track), & it's my main heavy bag now. It's filled partially with rubber mulch, which is harder than cloth, so I went through several weeks of sore shins all over again during August lol. However, once again, the shins have adapted & they feld four heavy bag workouts per week without complications!
Please can you give us an update?
Bro you inspire me to continue training muay thai
One life. One love. One sport. Muay Thai. 🙏
I bought a steel pipe placed tape around it, and I roll it around on shins everyday. My shins are almost bulletproof now. I can check kicks all day.
How long did it take you
@@jackjerome9369 20 years
You're just killing the nerves, though...
@@jackjerome9369 it’s not for everybody, It took a year and a half. I do it for 10 minutes a day. Make sure you don’t have extensive walking to do, cause you won’t be able too without pain.
@@VIK_1903 you’re making the nerve less sensitive to physical damage, not exactly killing the nerve.
Little tip for dem beginners like myself I learned the hard way don’t spam power on the heavy bag or pads work on throwing your kicks with less power to develop balance your shins will still become conditioned
DON'T KICK WITH FULL FORCE ON THE HEAVY BAG IF YOU'RE NEW
I did the same thing before and my shin swole like crazy
bro how long it takes to makes shin stronger? I am new runner and shin hurt so bad
All of this. After training fighters since 2007 I’d say this is the best advice ever. Kick pads and hit mits with your trainer. When you’re not with your trainer your best friend is the pole bag or heavy bag.
As a person that does capoeira and taekwondo i can say that this advice is gonna help me with fast and deadly kicks
Yea it is 👊
i always knuckle punching my shins then jump from higher ground and sprint as fast as i can over and over to strengthen my bones
You are my favourite sean ❤from India
I have a tiny little metal stick I use to condition my shins and other bones like elbows for elbow strikes.
Does hitting your shins with a wooden object actually help? If not then how would you condition your shins if you don't have a bag to hit and don't have a gym to go to?
On the off chance that you or someone else knowledgeable see this, are there warning signs that your shin bone is about to give? I got checked good sparring a few weeks back and it hurt for a while and then collided shins hard in the same spot during wrestling practice yesterday and it hurts to tap that spot now. Still moving and bearing weight ok just afraid any day now I'm gonna go down like Silva did😅
My coach Malaipet doesn’t use the stick method or anything of that nature. He has us do 500 kicks on a bag regularly!
A friend has been teaching me we hit the pads but i need to join a gym to kick the heavy bag but i am kicking trees to try to conditioning them
If we have something close to the badass cobra Kai I think this is Muay Thai it has clinch, sweeps, elbows, knees, high kicks and the extreme body conditioning exactly like cobra Kai’s moves the difference is that they call it karate and wearing a Gi
sounds fun ngl
Hey Sean, What your Preference in Case of The Filling in Heavy bag,, Is it jast Saw Dust, or Waste Clothes for shin conditioning
But I don't have the heavy bag😢
Dont have one
😊 any suggestion
What if I only have a regular stand up bag
But i dont have heavy bag😂
I need to take a recovery day but I really don’t want to but if I hit that bag too much pain
I think he wants us to kick the heavy bag im not sure
I never expected kicking heavy bag is painful its like my skin in front of my shin folded with the shin
I wonder how many Muay Thai kickboxers also work for the forestry commission 🤔
What if you don't have a heavy bag it means we cant condition our shins ?
I push the heavybag back so it gets force and then i kick it with my right leg and i fell nothing but when i do this with my left leg i fell that is gonna break to pieces 😂
Cute.
Can I condition my shins even though I wrapped it?
Thanks for the advice Sean, love your channel. I was wondering because I have no access to a heavy bag at gym or home, is using a wooden stick to tap the shin a viable option?
I guess it can be if you have no other choice, but honestly I’m not much of a fan of that style although some fighters swear by it
@@seanfaganalright, thanks for the reply
Dude, I'm too concerned about using my shin to kick.
What is a heavy bag?what do I fill the bag with.
@@SeanStricklandvswomensmma ty for informing me
Just got in to muay thai for a month now and My kicks are trash, better than the 1st weeks but still trash lol
BuaKaew!!!!
Yes 👊
he made the tree look soft as a filipino I know those trees aren't that hard but with your bare feet they are HARD AS FUCK
ok, so far im doing this right.. but how about my knuckles/fist? besides knuckle pushups ( since i can't really do it yet) what other conditioning I can do with it?
Punch the bag
Punch wall and sandbag
how to shin conditioning if i dont have heavy bag?
Rent
Deadlift weights and run. Not at the same time, of course. That's the only scientifically proven way, by the way.
Does it still work if my shuns bruise?
Yes
Bro i am from pakistan .iam 16 year old and weight is 46kg can i do these excersizes and these bone excersizes ?
I think so
I wasn’t supposed to use metal
Probably not
i dont have a heavy bag 😢
Be creative. Use pillows, Make it heavy or what else u can use😃
A few big tires chained together and you are good to go 🥊
How many hours on each shin?
20 mins
Actually it’s not that simple you have to have a good diet
Don’t forget to kick heavy bag for stringer shins 👍🏼🗿
I havent a heavy bag at my home what should i use
Maybe pad up a tree or something
Rice bags maybe? Fill up bags with gravel or sand
Or perhaps practice on sticks or thin trees
@@LithiumKnight oh yeah thank you thats a great idea
Go to a gym and hit it. Or what Lithium Knight said
🤦♀️
So how do Muay Thai fighters repeatedly kick each other and bags constantly ? I haven’t heard of a single Thai fighter break their shins there’s a fighter who’s considered one of the greatest Muay Thai fighter of all time Saenchai he’s in his late 30’s and is still kicking pads bags and people and he hasn’t broken his shins
language..
What about it
Don’t use the lords name in vain
I’ll do what I want

Watchout for breaking your bone
@no I don't plan on like fighting amauter or anything more so learning for self defense and staying in shape post military, but yes I'll keep that in mind thank you
I can hit my full water soaked Heavy bag every day…. It so Hard like Clement 😂
