Last game for Perine. I'm seriously going to miss him, but honestly there isn't a lot more that he can accomplish at Oklahoma with all the records he now has there. I wish him the best of luck in the NFL and I'll definitely be following him. Amazing football player!!
6-3 against legacy SEC, including 3-0 against Alabama, 2-0 against Tennessee, and 1-0 against Auburn. I didn't count the victory over Arkansas, or the 19 against A&M and Missouri combined. The 2 NC games were tough, but Chuck Long and Kevin Wilson were timid in those games. LSU's defense was legit though.
No Auburn was ranked 6th in the SEC and OU #1 in the Big12. Big fucking deal on the win. It was a fucking consolation game get over that win. It is not a historic game and never will be. Mike James noooo go back and look at the stats from the 2013 sooners. We had 3 different qbs that year and were very inconsistent till we got hot late. This team had the most offensive talent in the country with clemson the only team that has an argument about that and the defense got alot better as they got healthier and more experience. 2 totally different teams.
Announcer bias was obvious on this broadcast. Very unprofessional. Palmer quipped, "welcome to the SEC" after one of many good hits from both sides. Well your team just got smoked and it wasn't even as close as the score would suggest. Welcome to the Big 12.
I think he's gonna be better than Striker. Great off the edge but his skills on coverage and tackle long are a step above. I also think he's a bit faster.
They slow played Kelly well. He was needed in emergencies early, but he went off against Auburn. That sets the tone for him as a leader next year. Lord knows, Oklahoma will need defense big time. Also, we will need to rediscover a running game. I have a ton of belief in Lincoln Riley though, he looks like what we have been waiting for. Maybe pay him enough to stick around until Stoops retires? I know, it is asking a lot.
Looking back and knowing this was Bob’s last game, this makes me quite sad. Glad he went out on such a high note, the program is in the good hand of Lincoln Reily.

Power 5 conference records so far this Bowl season: ACC: 8-3, Big XII: 4-2, SEC: 6-6, PAC 12: 3-3, B10: 3-7 People like to shit on the Big XII, but outside of USC and Washington, the PAC 12 has been pretty mediocre this year (Colorado got smashed by Oklahoma State) and the B10 is having an abysmal bowl season (granted, Penn State vs. USC could have gone either way). As for the SEC, I think their mediocre bowl record can be overlooked because they have hands down the best team in college football for the last couple of seasons.
