    The Iron Bowl was a miracle and a nail biter. OU dominated the two-time defending national champions throughtout the game. So satisfying even for this Texas fan.

      ***** -- I am well aware that Bob Stoops tends to be a choker, but NOT this time. I think that he, his brother, and the rest of the staff had his team thoroughly prepared. Surely you are correct in arguing that Bama is a better team than OU; however, OU played with a little chip on its shoulder (i.e., due to some nationwide disrespect of the Sooners) and the Stoops boyz got these young men well prepared and emotionally psyched for this game. As far as the 4th quarter is concerned, I'm not sure what you are referring to in claiming that Stoops stalled as a coach. I think that the final drive as coached by Stoops to ice the game was brilliant. Congratulations to you, the OU team, and the many Sooner fans. I like Bama, but I think that it is healthy for the game when one team (Alabama), time-to-time, fails to dominate.

      Yeah, I hope you're proud of the way Stoops shamelessly decided to call and onside kick to end the game. I hope you're REAL proud of your childish, arrogant, self-centered, disrespectful head coach. Both teams played their hearts out tonight, and yes, OU played better and deserved to win. But that onside kick was uncalled for. Stoops should be able to carry himself with at least a little bit of class and dignity in a bowl game. He's supposed to be setting an example of sportsmanship to those young men in the locker room. Instead, he tries to embarrass Saban, and all those boys on the Bama sideline by his childish antics. If I was a Sooner, I would be utterly disgusted with Stoops for making that call. But you go right ahead and be proud of your coach. Show the whole country just what kind of petty,despicable people the Sooners really are..

      I don't touch my feces first of all.. Maybe you guys do something with your feces in Oklahoma, but in Alabama, we just flush it. Maybe you don't have toilets? I don't know...
      Secondly, Stoops and Saban have known each other, and OU has been talking trash about Alabama for a long time. If you think that kick was anything other than a slap in the face, you're an idiot

      Squib kick.. Okay. I can accept that. So what you're telling me, is that Stoops was SO afraid of Saban, that he actually thought Bama could score TWICE in 47 seconds so he just HAD to prevent giving Bama the ball?! Wow, some head coach ya got there. He's got A LOOOT of faith in his team doesn't he?

  • @canibus19

    I'm not a Big 12 fan at all (Pac 12 fan here), but I was so happy to see OU beat Bama. It's not that I don't like Bama...I just don't like their fans always screaming how tough the SEC is. Stoops said the SEC was overrated and proved it. Good job.

    • @deathcanvas11
      @deathcanvas11 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      the only thing stoops proved was he could beat a alabama team that came out flat turning over the ball in a bowl game they didn't even want to be in he also proved he could be embarrassed by a shitty tx team

    • @tanis143
      @tanis143 11 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      travis sharpe LMAO He proved he could beat an Alabama team that everyone in the nation still considered the #1 team. Knight carved up a defense that was rated one of the best. They put up 31 points in the first half, 45 points at the end with 28 pts from Alabama turnovers and 7 sacks. I don't care what you think, Alabama should never have let that much happen if they were a true #3 team. And if you had watched the game the Alabama players didn't look like they were not flat, they played with just as much passion as OU. Do yourself a favor, before proving you are a fool, keep your mouth closed and let people just think you are a fool.

    • @jimbo3227
      @jimbo3227 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tanis143 Yea man I agree Oklahoma did well but that doesn't mean the SEC is "overrated" or whatever. It's still the toughest conference in college football. I have all respect in the world for OU. They did a good job. But still the SEC is just way more intense. I respect Bob Stoops for what he said when asked a question like this. He just said that all he proved was that his team could play good football and could beat another good football team, which was correct.

    • @tanis143
      @tanis143 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jim Vick Sorry, but I disagree. The only reason the SEC is considered the toughest/best/etc etc is because of the hype they get. Are they good? Undoubtedly. But if you took the top 5 teams from the SEC and put them in a round robin with the top 5 teams from the Big 12 they wouldn't fare nearly as well as they do against the bottom 7 of the SEC. This is why I really dislike how college football is played. There is no parity in how teams are judged. Take Alabama's schedule: played 12 games (regular season), 8 conf and 4 non-conf. The 4 non-conf's were cream puffs. OU's schedule was 9 conf and 3 non-conf. The 3 non-confs had 2 cream puffs and Notre Dame. Trying to compare conferences is always going to be a matter of opinion. So please, lets leave the whole SEC is better argument in the dust.

      Maybe it's not normal, but is there a better feeling than knocking off Alabama & that arrogant SOB Saban? I have the DVD. In fact, I'm watching it right now. Nobody, and I mean, nobody, thought OU would win, let alone score 31 points in the first half. Maybe that's nobody in the media. Nessler & Blackledge were constantly kissing Alabama & Saban's ass. I'm thinking, SHUT UP! Hard to believe this game was played 9 years ago this week. They were constantly showing the Alabama fans.
      Hardly ever said anything nice about OU. OU could do nothing right, Alabama could do nothing wrong. What do you expect? Certainly not a hillbilly school from the Big 12 hanging w/an SEC powerhouse, let alone beating them by 2 touchdowns, when they were 17-point underdogs.

      I believe Alabama was crying still over their loss to Auburn, a game they also sucked in. Kind of ironic the team ESPN gets on their knees for all the time loses their final two games. And trust me Will, you aren't going anywhere next year, especially without McCarron. If Sabban was smart, he would of taken the job at Texas and built from the ground up their, because he has a lot of rebuilding to do at Alabama again now.

      Matt Schlicht are you joking? do you not know the depth alabama has? the toughest challenge is the quarterback position, and honestly some of the back ups this year have been better then some of the starters. alabama will be good next year as long as they have a smart qb. derrick henry is a freshman and is better than yeldon.. and alabama will have all of their receivers back and is losing one offensive lineman.. koundjio is staying and alabamas best talent is young this year. also bama is getting a new offensive coordinator, ours sucked compared to the talent we have.. bama is loaded son

    Oklahoma recruited some true monsters this year. Heck, even the receivers are all over 6'4". Picked up a monster offensive lineman. 6'8"@340 pounds? Can't wait to see the strength/conditioning coach get a hold of these new studs. OU is a young team. 2013 was a rebuilding year. Not losing a whole lot for the 2014 season. On paper, they should be a quantum leap better in 2014, but we'll just have to see.

    • @MrYATHATSMYNAME
      @MrYATHATSMYNAME 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Taylor Moore
      The only decent team that you said was LSU.. The only 'very good' teams that bama played (Auburn, OU) they lost to. You dont rise much higher than your competition and when you're playing FCS opponents in week 10, thats not saying much about the level of your team. I'm sorry but Bama is, was, and most likely always will be overrated.

    • @Bamaraider1
      @Bamaraider1 11 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Before this loss to OU, Alabama had played 6 teams in the post-season since 09 with a combined record of 72-2. Alabama was 6-0 in those games and the average margin of victory was 35-13. But yeah, we never play anyone good. :/

    • @jbspencer77
      @jbspencer77 11 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Taylor Moore including the powerhouses of Georgia Sate, Chattanooga, and that solid 20-7 drubbing of the uber-competitive Mississippi State. Of course they didnt have to worry about that ever dangerous Western Carolina squad or big, bad Western Kentucky. Obviously since theyre an SEC team they play so much better competition, its not like a non-SEC team would EVER drop 10 spots in the BCS rankings if they played anyone near the FBS caliber.... (

      SEC is overrated now LSU without joe burrow prob won’t get them into the playoffs and Alabama is going to be trash with there defense next year and they lost there best wrs from the NFL draft and Florida is good but they can’t compete with the top teams and Georgia is overrated they can’t score crap against anybody and there defense is good but it could change I see Georgia going 9-3 or 10-2

    SEC is great, no doubt. It is, top to bottom, the best conference. But maybe, just maybe, people overestimate those teams too much on an individual level. At the very least the football world underestimates conferences like the Big 12. I do too sometimes. Just sayin.

    • @BobPapadopoulos
