Asalamualikum brother The Pakhtun/ Punjabi Turban needs no special cloth you just need something very long. Make sure you have a cap as the middle part is open and search up on TH-cam how to tie it it is called Patkai in Pashto and Pagg in Punjabi. I recommend you search Patkai because the Sikh Punjabis also call their turbans pagg. From your Muslim American Pakistani brother thank you for loving our culture.
But don’t wear it because it is not Sunnah this is our Pakistani and Afghan tradition and you are not from these countries so you will look weird in your country. The Nabi (SAW) dressed like his people within the boundaries of Quran and Sunnah so wear what other Muslims in your country wear as long as it complies with Quran and Sunnah or else you will become a stranger in your own land.

The reason why its commonly seen in the arabian gulf countries is because their rulers (kings emirs) wear it as its part of the tradition whereas the arab republic countries rulers don't except when they was once monarchies. One more thing to add on the term "khaleeji" is not an identity its a sea that means gulf

For benefit It halal to wipe on emamah Provided that : 1- cover all the head 2- halal emamah so you are no wipe on ( stolen) emamah 3- wipe emamah after ablution or woodh or Ghusl from impurity
