R.I.P., to a true superstar musician....this is as if he was saying "farewell" to his loved ones and fans with this song. I couldn't hold back my tears just hearing this and seeing the photos of him as I remembered him in my own youth. My family has dealt with it's share of Alzhiemers, so my heart is out to the Campbell Family. Like Steve Adams, I spent a few years in radio and had the pleasure of playing Glen Campbells music. I now fly airplanes for a living and I can still apply this wonderful music to my life. Thank you, Glen Campbell for all the inspiration, my heart is with you...
I got the early stages of Alzheimer's & they doubled my meds, I'm lying in bed crying now, I go back to the doctor on Tuesday, I'm here just enough to know I'm slipping away..
You are mourning to the same degree that you have loved and lived... Those tears are a tribute to everything you gave and everything you received... You may soon forget all those memories but trust me here when I say this - you will never forget the love in your heart. You may not always recognize the face that smiles at you, but you will always feel that love. Love lives in each of your cells, and when your brain can no longer do the remembering, your cells will. I have cared for my grandmother and my father in law and while they had forgotten why they loved me, they never forgot that they loved me. Don't worry... just trust that you will always be you. In our life we come to identify ourselves by 'what we do' and 'what we have' - this is just the surface. Under all that we are who we really are. My father in law could no longer speak or recognize his family, but in those last months - he taught me more about life and communication than any one could imagine. Soul to soul... His smile and appreciation shone through and you could see he did not know why we all cared for him but he loved us so simply and purely. Be brave my friend. The world will take care of the rest.

Not sure the year but my Dad was in NY on business from the UK, possibly the 60's and first saw you in Macys , singing and promoting your LP "Gentle on my Mind". Well dad bought the LP and you signed it to me, Laurian. I treasure it and still have it along with one you did with Bobby Gentry. Glen we have all done bad things and have regrets, thats life. One thing I hope and pray for is that we meet on that golden shore with the Lord and you can play again to us saints and Him who reigns - can't wait. To be Born Again and saved for all eternity we must believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of all our sins. THAT is the gospel we preach. Nathan Clift Both my parents mate, I asked the nurse back in 2003 what odds for dementia and she said 25/1 and I had both mine with that evil disease, life sucks sometimes I guess.
My grandfather 93 has alt. forgets us however he knows salvation his favorite hymns and sings them... talks about Jesus. He doesn't know the great and wonderful things his has done in his life. From top torrent gunner in World War 2 to owning his own company built airports bridges building that people still use today. That is the greatest generation I wish I could have been a fraction of what that man was and still is.
I wish I had gotten to know my grandfathers better... both of them. One died when I was 4 and the other died when I was, like, 11. I have only vague memories of both of them. I really wish I would've gotten to talk to them as an adult. Ask them about their hopes, fears, dreams, disappointments, proudest moments, etc... anyway, best of luck, anthony.

One of my best friends ever, Gil Chavez, from since we were 15 years old has become a master Guitar Luthier and Repair/Modification artist. Gil did the beautiful inlay on the guitar that Glenn is playing!!! What a beautiful song too Glenn, I've always admired your guitar playing, being a guitarist myself. God bless you on your journey!!! Glen Campbell is in Stage 7 of Alzheimer's. This is considered the last stage before this horrible disease claims its victims. He can no longer speak. I know I will cry real tears of sorrow when he dies. His music was part of my teenage years and the memories I have of him and those beautiful songs are part of my life.

I encourage the Campbell family to look to the Lord continually through the eyes of faith. The words you receive are very important. I watched the program and just thought where is the faith? Hebrews 11:35 says women by faith received their dead raised to life again.Miracles are real and happen everyday. lets agree with God and not with how things appear. what a testimony to the world it would be for Glen to receive a miracle.. If we change our thoughts and put our faith above all medical reports and our minds above all of the circumstances. All things are possible to them that believe. Many times our faith has been diluted by the reports we've excepted and WHAT WE SEE the just shall live not by sight but by faith Romans 1:17 When you have seen the miraculous its very difficult not to believe. Jesus has already healed us by the stripes he received. Repent of unbelief and receiving reports contrary to the word of God. Glen said I aint done yet. is God done yet? Are we done yet? I encourage all who love Glen to Believe the report of of the Lord. I have seen with my own eyes the blind receive their sight, the def hear, broken bones healed instantly and could spend hours telling the testimonies of Gods miraculous Power I've seen and been a part of . My Dad passed away from Azheimers in late 2010. And my Mom died unexpectedly of a heart attack recently. The passing of 2 icons in my life within about 2 years. But we all saw a Glen Campbell concert at Winstar Casino in June 2010. I cannot describe how much we all enjoyed it. Glen sang this song and I get tears in my eyes whenever I hear it.

I'm English and was not a real fan of country music but came across this song from a show called 'Derek', then I searched it and saw Mr. Campbell has Alzheimers and this is so sad, wonderful song and I wish Glen everything having to cope with this terrible condition, bless you mate.

I encourage the Campbell family to look to the Lord continually through the eyes of faith. The words you receive are very important. I watched the program and just thought where is the faith? Hebrews 11:35 says women by faith received their dead raised to life again.Miracles are real and happen everyday. lets agree with God and not with how things appear. what a testimony to the world it would be for Glen to receive a miracle.. If we change our thoughts and put our faith above all medical reports and our minds above all of the circumstances. All things are possible to them that believe. Many times our faith has been diluted by the reports we've excepted and WHAT WE SEE the just shall live not by sight but by faith Romans 1:17
When you have seen the miraculous its very difficult not to believe. Jesus has already healed us by the stripes he received. Repent of unbelief and receiving reports contrary to the word of God. Glen said I aint done yet. is God done yet? Are we done yet? I encourage all who love Glen to Believe the report of of the Lord. I have seen with my own eyes the blind receive their sight, the def hear, broken bones healed instantly and could spend hours telling the testimonies of Gods miraculous Power I've seen and been a part of . What are you doing with the measure of faith you've been given? Where are you planting it? If faith can raise the dead what can faith do for Glen Campbell? Read Hebrews chapter 11

My Dad passed away from Azheimers in late 2010. And my Mom died unexpectedly of a heart attack recently. The passing of 2 icons in my life within about 2 years. But we all saw a Glen Campbell concert at Winstar Casino in June 2010. I cannot describe how much we all enjoyed it. Glen sang this song and I get tears in my eyes whenever I hear it.
