Turned out very nice ! Pro tip : when cutting metal roofing with a circular saw, flip it over and cut from the backside. Minimizes the metal shavings that stick to the panels and cause rust
Been following you both on the Perkins Brothers Builders and Eric was right, you both do a great job on your own channel. Great looking building and as always, very professional finish!
Super project for the channel and Ray did a great job with the vid capture ….. what is Jason doing while all this cool footage is happening! Did he do anything ?? Super job RayJay thanks for the time lapse 🙏
Hi Guys Good job or excellent job. I plan on building à pôle barn garage for myself Im learning how you guys did thé layout Nice and square When you start out right thé job finishes right good Work thanks
Check out this video. This is the first one and talks about the dimensions. There are 4 videos in the series. Hope you enjoy! Building A Pole Barn // Episode 1 - Breaking Ground! th-cam.com/video/09CEC9MYix0/w-d-xo.html
Hey Jay are all the materials used pressure treated? I’m getting ready to build one for myself during winter and kind of lost on when to use pressure treated or not. I know the posts need to be pressure treated though for sure.
I don’t…I think if you watch the first pole barn video, you will see the size of it. As far as the cost, I don’t ever keep track of that. It’s too depressing! Lol.
Beautiful job guys, which one of you sliced his hand open on the metal roofing? It sure looked like a big blood splotch on the underside of one of the panels. I assume you left it there so you could show the blood equity it took to construct. LOL Seriously though, it looks great!
@@Building_Jays_Way 🤣🤣🤣🤣Funny Ray! I remember now. The rope was used to pull the side away from the hill side to align the railing. Or whatever. It just seemed out of place when I was watching the fast version. Anyway, get that kitchen done by Thanksgiving!
Don’t remember offhand. I just wanted to make sure that the camper would go in and I could still walk around the top of the camper without hitting the trusses.
We just had 40 mph winds and she’s still standing! She’s sturdy as can be. I am going to add a couple more braces in the front just to make everyone happy.
I just pulled the camper in where it is at for filming the final video for the series. It will move over 3-4 feet which will make room for boat to go. Thanks.
HDR POLL: TH-cam "Automatic higher quality" setting streamed this as 360 HDR. TH-cam prioritizing HDR over Resolution may be why some viewers are stating video color or quality is "not quite right." I manually over-rided quality to 2160 HDR and it is buffering every 2 seconds or so, and the resolution doesn't seem as good as 2160 should be. I am going to let it play/stutter through and rewatch from cache.
It’s for the other 16k “we” that watched it so far… We’re just trying to put out other types of enjoyable and relaxing videos. We realize not everyone has the same taste.
Next week. We wanted to release a Timelapse video since the project was done and we didn’t want to jump back and forth. Thanks for the confidence in my marriage 😉
Ray, I adore Becca, she is the image of a daughter that I lost, I see her and she has a sweetness just like my daughter, so you must take good care of her and finish her kitchen. 😉
@@Building_Jays_Way 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Was that the reason Jamie was included? Quality content? You both did one hellofa job on that pole structure. My hats off to you both!
@Ted McNair seems like you’re the touchy one seeing how you made the comment… either way, we get it. Not every video is going to be produced for everyone of our viewers. What you might think “sucked”, might draw more people in who aren’t aware of us.
Great job on the barn…. I know some supplies were sponsored, but you happen to have a cost breakdown by chance! Props to Ray Ray for his bearded help!
Excellent work
Nice Job Ray-Jay for the time lapse!! Great entertainment for a Sunday evening!! KUTGW
I loved the time lapsed! Looking forward to the next project.
So many glamour shots as we like to say in storyboarding commercials and videos. Love it. Been excited for this day. Stellar job RayJay!
Loved the time lapse !! Great job !!
Turned out very nice !
Pro tip : when cutting metal roofing with a circular saw, flip it over and cut from the backside. Minimizes the metal shavings that stick to the panels and cause rust
Thanks for the pro tip!!
You guys are amazing! I love how you guys can just bust each other's chops and laugh and keep going! Great team work!
Thanks so much!!
Nice work guys!
L.O.V.E. this series....you guys are great!
Listen, I don’t want to tell you how to do your jobs, but I want you to keep it up. Loving the different projects and videos.
We’re not sure what you mean…
@@Building_Jays_Way 😬 just telling you to keep doing what you’re doing, even though it’s not my place to tell you what to do. 😁
I think I get it… 😉
Every time you look at the structure, you will feel the pride. Congrats!
Yeah my daughter says i can’t believe You built something that big!!! Lol.
One day you’ll see your daughter and notice that’s the biggest thing you’ve built, mate
Been following you both on the Perkins Brothers Builders and Eric was right, you both do a great job on your own channel. Great looking building and as always, very professional finish!
Awesome! Thank you!
Enjoyed the Time Lapse ⏲ Video 📹 👌 😀
Just subbed, really enjoying catching up on your playlists, especially the pole barn and workshop refit

Nicely done.

Awesome project!
SWEET TL DUDES

What was the overall dimensions?
Ran across your video looking for ideas...did i miss the overall dimensions of this barn somewhere?

@@Building_Jays_Way thank you sir... I'll check them out
What fastener did you use to attach the posts to the base brackets ?
Concrete wedge anchors and then I also added some tapcons
@@Building_Jays_Way thanks, I saw the tapcons going in.
What did you use for the wood ?
When are going to see a time laps of the kitchen
Kitchen project video will be up this week… Timelapse… well that will be up when it’s complete… TBD🤣🤣
@@Building_Jays_Way hope it's going good
It’s going about like every project we do🤣
Hey Jay are all the materials used pressure treated? I’m getting ready to build one for myself during winter and kind of lost on when to use pressure treated or not. I know the posts need to be pressure treated though for sure.
I think I used all PT in the build. With it being outside it will probably last longer if it’s PT.
@@Building_Jays_Way awesome thank you!
Awesome job, What size is this and do you remember the build costs
I don’t…I think if you watch the first pole barn video, you will see the size of it. As far as the cost, I don’t ever keep track of that. It’s too depressing! Lol.

We were both blood free… must have been dirt.
Thanks for watching and enjoying the video!
@@Building_Jays_Way I'm glad to hear that. I've had some nasty gashes from that stuff. Great video, keep em comin
Average spend on materials?
That rope was scary. I do not remember anything about no rope in the other videos. 😬
But it’s done and no one was injured and Jamie helped!
What rope?
@@Building_Jays_Way 🤣🤣🤣🤣Funny Ray! I remember now. The rope was used to pull the side away from the hill side to align the railing. Or whatever. It just seemed out of place when I was watching the fast version. Anyway, get that kitchen done by Thanksgiving!
Nice work! Hope the price of wood comes down!
Thanks for watching!
Why didn’t you use the pre made steel pole barn truss kits
Wood looks better… why use prepaid steel trusses vs prepaid wood? Just asking your opinion.
So many campers with leaking roofs, good call.
How tall on the high and low end
Don’t remember offhand. I just wanted to make sure that the camper would go in and I could still walk around the top of the camper without hitting the trusses.
What's the flooring? Couldn't tell from the time lapse.
Just gravel.
Shear capacity?
We just had 40 mph winds and she’s still standing! She’s sturdy as can be. I am going to add a couple more braces in the front just to make everyone happy.
Great video but wasn’t it supposed to hold a boat and the trailer??
The boats at the shop…
I may have missed this somewhere but did't Ray use sketchup to design this pole barn? Was it sketchup pro?
It was.
PBB shaking on their boots
I'm here!
Hey I was wandering what happened to your kitchen
New video coming out Sunday!
Man you don't work that fast when you're working at Perkin Building Brothers, just kidding :D great job guys, keep the videos coming
Total cost?
No idea. I got the metal for free? I don’t like to think of the cost. It just puts me in a bad mood! Lol.
How did you two manage without the Perkins Brothers😂
Oh they were there! In parts! 😆
We managed by them managing us 🤣
I think you should call it a pole roof. Are you going to close it in later? 👍
Maybe down the road. Main thing is to keep snow, rain, and sun off the roof.
The Perkins Brothers did a house time lapse so y'all had 2 copy lol 😅😎
Or did they copy our idea first???
Where’s the boat go?
I just pulled the camper in where it is at for filming the final video for the series. It will move over 3-4 feet which will make room for boat to go. Thanks.
What's happening with Ray's house renovation?
Still going on. New video on it Sunday!
It’s pole dancing time!!
Always🤣
Has Ray finished his kitchen yet?
I always catch these too early when the 4k and 1080p versions aren't processed yet 😂
🤣 I didn't release it until 4k was processed, but now it's kicked into HDR processing through all the resolutions... I should have waited longer.
@@Building_Jays_Way I think RayJay has the best quality of video in my entire TH-cam feed 😂😂
We strive for it! We try to do 4K HDR! Thanks for noticing and the comment!!
Did you paint your tape measure? Lol
I’m sure I did!!😜
@@Building_Jays_Way they still make new ones. It’s okay ✅ Just don’t do it again. 🤣
Perkins been real quiet.
What do you mean?
@@Building_Jays_Way RayJay time lapse>Perkins time lapse. 😅 just some friendly banter.
#letJamietalk🤣🤣
👍🏻 🤣
Y'all finished that and Beca is still living in a remodel zone...hope she isnt the jealous type!

came here because my wife and i wanna build a car port for our rv and vehicles
What is the best decision I ever made! I love that it does not get pounded by the weather and branches. Thanks for watching!
Pole barn? I thought it said pole dancing, I’m out of here. Just kidding. Barn looks awesome.
The next episode is Jason slowmo dancing on the pole barn… stay tuned 🤣
Missing diagonal sheer braces on the far side "entrance". Hopefully you added them and didn't film it.
Yeah I am adding some more bracing on the front. Thanks.
😊🌻👍👍👍
🤗👋👌👍✅

Ray you had promised to finish Becca's kitchen, it seems that you are no longer with her, you left everything thrown away. 🤨
Next week. We wanted to release a Timelapse video since the project was done and we didn’t want to jump back and forth.
