      Thank you for your great work on the OTS maps Ken, My car is only FBO for now but it has been running perfect for the past two years on the OTS tunes, cant wait to find some garage space and finally go single turbo.

    Welcome to the Reflex world ;) Now all ya need is a BMP4 fuel pump controller it’s also power on demand and communicates through the dme. I’m using one of the reflex connections for oil pressure the other for crankcase pressure…And hey!! Ain’t nothing wrong with being over 50! 🤣 Happy Birthday..🎉🎂🎁

      haha, TBH i am hoping the PWM output from the Reflex will negate the need for a BMP4. It's basically doing the same thing as the BMP4.

    Happy Birthday Andrew! Wishing you good health! I must say I'm very intrigued by the prospects of this next gen port injection setup. You won't hear any arguments from me touting GDI over PI. I've had to walnut blast my intake valves twice since I've owned my 135i. Despite the nuisance I haven't been inspired enough to upgrade. But man, that aluminum manifold is beautiful. Thank you for the fantastic content! I'm watching and learning!

      Thank you very much!!! On paper GDI is great, it makes so much sense. However there just isnt the tech there to get enough fuel through a single DI injector to make decent power. Merc seems to make the most power per cylinder, but i have already pushed past that with my 17t setup. PI for the win, also i heard on the grape vine BMW are bring PI back to the next gen engines. There are some things PI does better even when emission are involved.

    Andrew this new reflex is going to be amazing , especially with the DCT trans , i had endless shit with my N55 DCT car running on JB4 and eventually went MHD flash only, can’t wait for the content, can we meet Ken maybe on one of your videos maybe??would be great to just hear his thoughts on this new reflex system

    I’m guessing around mid 30s maybe 35. We all getting older everyday and if we healthy, happy and still get to do our hobbies like building cars etc, then it’s a blessing, we enjoy it.

    im running my trigger for the 2nd fuel pump for my helix off my exhaust flap as the trigger so it can be controlled by RPM and boost according to the map table etc if i remember correctly he said he even has a program for it thats even more in depth for it. So no hobbs switch for me! Tim also hated i had a jb4 haha went MHD instantly and havent looked back! loving it. Looks like i might have to get myself a reflex plus when its out with the canbus haha i have a feeling Tim is gonna say buy it XD My 2nd fuel pump also has the Solid State Relay, the big fuse, etc it's like a precision raceworks boost reference harness chopped up, hobbs scrapped, relay added. Tim is also a god at this stuff, honestly im glad we have Tim and Ken!

    Happy birthday, 45. I like direct injection on pump gas give economy and high compression and turbo. E85 hides all sins, sadly no E85 in NZ anymore at the pump

    Googled jb5 and I was disappointed, watched the video and now I'm all for mhd+ and reflex with pi. My next n54 won't be getting a jb4 with helix anymore. Happy birthday Andrew! The videos have always been very interesting and helpful, built my own car alongside the 17t journey and I haven't been disappointed following your advice and build. Hopefully I'll find the funds to go single turbo and ditch the jb4 😅. Going to guess 38years!

      @@jakegoldberg8941 Not a rebrand, and nothing is public other than the April fools video. But it looks like there will be a better MHD that will likely cost more and have more features but run along side MHD.....maybe. MHD+ and MHD Lite on the horizon?

      Yeah we waited nearly 6 months for them, but well worth it. Top tip, make sure you get a decent fuel system setup and keep that boost under 28psi :P

    I ditched JB4 for MHD on my N55 and I haven’t looked back, if reflex can piggy back with MHD though?! Cant wait! Great video 👍🏻

      @@ZeroTo60Tube it’s currently controlling methanol injection (pump and solenoid) as well as the PI and tied into the ethanol sensor for map scaling. My secondary 525 fuel pump still runs off a Hobbs switch for the moment but looking into moving it over to the extra auxiliaries on the controller.
      It’ll be controlling boost as well just as soon as I kick myself out of the 19t’s into a single turbo setup.

    I love my reflex+, I use it for boost control, pwm meth injection with pump trigger, egt, soon to be exhaust manifold pressure. It truly is the best. I've also had a small meeting with Jake on how to set it up for everything so if you or anyone needs help.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube about 6 months, ditched my jb4 for it and flash only self tuned with my G30-900 on a built engine ported head. All the works and it's been flawless. Jb4 use to hiccup and cause meth problems. Reflex doesn't have any of it and being able to see a problem and have my dell 2n1 ready to mess with something if needed and aa NOT have to turn the car off is pretty cool, can't wait for the new MHD+ stuff that I can't say anything but holy sh*t is it amazing

    Looks like an awesome piece of kit, I know quiet a few people are using syvecs in the uk for tuning and also doing away with the first set of o2s! My car is now up for sale and I’ll be looking for a cheaper 335i to build a single turbo n54, I’m going to look at moving the turbo way up front n possibly putting a tube front end on my car to make all the room for it!       If you are JB4 get on to there forum. You will likely want to use JB4 port injection, JB4 flex sensor etc

    Interested as to why not just use a standalone ECU such as MaxxMini / Haltech etc?
    From what I've seen on the Reflex website the ECU would allow more I/O you have the CAN and most likely better logging and more features.
    Wasn't Ohreally setup like that?
    Have seen 800+ whp on DI only 😋

      Full stand-alone really excites me, but it is a big step and won’t be relevant to most of my viewers. The I/O with reflex along side canbus integration and mhd+ was something I really want to showcase

      @@ZeroTo60Tube sorry I may not.have worded it very well. While yes a full standalone is entirely an option, though.then you would need a much higher end option. What i was actually getting at was using a lower end one as the fuel controller. A lower end ECU like the one I suggested costs roughly same as reflex. Supports more I/O, probably better logging and the necessary CAN while also having other features. I've seen this setup used on other engines but with a similar premise to extremely good effect using the CAN to also integrate with the factory DME. Apologies for the wording of the original question not.being so accurate. Full standalone I understand is a doable but big and expensive undertaking especially when wanting to keep factory features of a relatively modern car.

    Hell yeah! I went reflex lite on my car since no canbus yet! But once canbus becomes a thing I’ll buy the +. Still will keep my gfb electronic boost controller love controlling boost on the fly.

    hey guys, how bought a small fuel cell in the trunk with its own pump running alone to the port injection manifold as a stand alone fuel system, that can be switched off and used when needed? maybe with a race fuel in the cell ,controlled by the reflex? i thought off doing this? any thoughts? and 40. cheers.

    Stock 2000-2002 Audi S4 ecus Bosch ME7.1 ecus have all standalone functions built in antilag, rolling antilag and no lift shift it’s pretty cool for 20 year old tech

      Crazy really. To take it 1 step further, the Mitsubishi Evo 6.5 from 1999 had antilag and launch control too.

      Basically if you have access to e85, go PI, don't waste time with anything else. If you can't get e85, port methanol injection is where you wanna be. Every other "solution" out there just does not get the results.

    Wont the direct injection be doing sequential at cold start, idle and part throttle? Unless the port injectors at running like 30% duty at WOT the sequential is basically same as batch. Sequential is good on port fuel injection only though

      DI does all the low load work. PI is only working under load. But injection timing still comes in to play in high load. Nivalac's vid showed both idle and power improvements. but it was the idle that was the big surprise to him

      @@ZeroTo60Tube he found 1.4% gain and does mention he was at 42% duty cylce that is above half of what many engines run, if you are much above that do not expect meaningful gains from this.

    Guessing 36. I wish I would have gone with reflex. Steven from Wedge recommended it and had I known I would have been adding as much as I did I would have pulled the trigger much sooner. Instead I have three additional controls wmi controller, aic controller and an electric boost controller. All could have been accomplished with a single reflex.

    Why do you need a solid state relay for the fuel pumps if you have reflex? Doesn’t the reflex control multiple
    Pumps?

      The reflex can only handle very small current. Just like any dme etc. However a solid state relay can switch on and off as fast a pwm signal. To the 2 amp circuit coming out of the the reflex is beefed up to 100amp with the relay.

    There has been reports on the lse90 pages stating the radium FHST for the e90 isn't supporting as much HP as advertised. They were stating it was due to how the tank is fed from the factory pump. It is draining the surge tank at around 600 whp. 😳

      OHHHHH that is interesting. Considering there is no pressure or resistance on the that feed line, that is bizzare. You would think a single walbro running like that would keep up with 2 walbros feeding the front of the car through the reg. unless the 2 in the radium are bleeding off in to the tank, meaning not all of the fuel from the radium is heading to the front. Might need to look in to this. I mean my ghetto twin setup through stock reg doesnt break a sweat at 630whp, so i am sure there is a way to make the radium work.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube you would think there is no resistance but if I understand what they were saying correctly, radium DOES restrict the feed in order to create flow through the factory venturis. Kind of a poor design that they don't use the regulator return to run the venturis.
      The fix may be as simple as drilling the radium restrictor out slightly. Idk.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube no freaking way, I kinda did that with my friends 2015 Subaru. I messed up two wires that where literally ABC. He had to order the unjenky version. But now I have a jenky wires if that taught me anything. Just get the metal part that connects them both.
      I have seen a person do a DIY but he starts cutting the whole piece apart and after that makes it work. I’ll look it up on eBay and see if I can find it for a decent price. I just replaced it too, I’ll see how it goes.

      I just realized I bought that one but used because I didn’t trust it bot being from bmw but now and days if it works it works. They aren’t as cheap though, do you have any website I can look that part up at?

      @@bavarianhero I just get my china ones from ebay to be honest. Do a search for walbro 460 or the actual part number F90000267. If you want to feel safer even the genuine walbros are quite cheap now.

    WHen I see one of those air filters I immediately make my opinion about the tunning... or tuner... someone should have told you, that cold air is better than hot air :)

      I think you'll find the fastest twin turbo n54s in the world runs dual cones... record was only set last week. but i get your assumption. At lower power levels dual cones dont help anything. But around 500whp you will pick up power compared to any other intake available. I hope this is a lesson for you to not make assumptions. My 17t car was the fastest china turbo car in the world at the time as well. The car that ended up going faster, guess what ran dual cones. Dual cones work if you want to go fast.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube that is because of the more air and for more HP more air is needed, the ideal would actually be to have them sucking air from an area where there is cold air. This filter lie you use for instance is very good when run from the bottom or any place you can get it to pull cold air.

    Hey love the videos and I was in the debate from using my Jb4 thats already in my car or going flash and everything I have seen says dct cars just run better and I’ve made the decision finally and am gonna rip that all. Are you going to control boost with the reflex or are you gonna go with a controller like a gfb 3?

      Reflex doing boost was a big part of using it. I am hoping eventually with can integration MHD will be able to control boost through the reflex. Try and reduce the amount of things crammed in the DME box.

      Hey man. I’ve been having trouble my car is in limp mode the electric fan cuts on. I replaced the hpfp. Still having same issues. Could it be crankshaft sensor, it said it’s missing. Or maybe lpfp? Sorry if you have time to reply that would be much appreciated. No rush tho. Thanks!

      @@JustACarGuy22 You need to be able to scan the car, ideally with ista and work through fault codes. If there are no codes it could just be a matter of trial and error. However i can think why limp mode would trigger the fan, unless the car thinks its over heating.

      So are carbies.... The real issue is hiding information from the DME, which in turn limits tuning ability. My jb4 worked, to the drive the car seemed fine. But its the right way to run an engine.

      this connects directly to the flex sensor, currently has an output to replace the older flex analysers, however should eventually do flex over can

Was actually installing mine at the same time you were. I’ve pretty much copied your build except I went with that aluminum manifold right away for port injection. Finally just got around to copying your flex fuel setup through JB4 with the fuel it kit. & now of course, you come out with this & now I’m considering the reflex lol. Always enjoy following your n54 builds. Happy birthday.

      @@thedeercamp although i am super excited about this built, i wouldn't fomo on the reflex its a lot of money extra, take some time to enjoy your setup. I had so much fun with mine over the 2 years. You can still spank a v10 r8 or lambo remember that haha
