Catching Lots of Things at Wolford…Except Pike

Headed up to Wolford Mountain Reservoir (Colorado) to try and catch some Pike. Wolford offers $20 for every pike you catch… they are considered to be an invasive species in this lake. Last year I was pretty successful but this year was a different story. I did however catch multiple species and had a lot of fun in the pursuit of pike.

We camp at Wolford all summer and my son Charlie follows your page. He caught this last weekend. 22 inch pike.

That’s awesome! Charlie is doing much better on pike than I did. Might have to give Wolford one more try this season…I want to try some new strategies for pike up there.

I WISH I would've put some type of float on my gopro when I was fishing 2 years back, lost a fish, flipped my head back, "BLOOP", worst noise ever and my go pro sank to the bottom of the lake lol...Good working getting all the species, and congrats on your first yak salmon!! Hope it was good🎣🎣

Unfortunately I implemented the floating GoPro stick because I am on GoPro # 4. GoPro#3 is sitting on the bottom of cherry Creek Reservoir…I feel your pain!

That was a really pretty brown. I haven't caught a stocker trout in almost 3 months. Pink usually works for kokes and I think you're right. The bounty is working.
