Hi all! Some of you correctly pointed this out already, but we'd like to point out an error in this video! At 3:54, the G4 should be labelled on the bottom left and the A95L should be labelled as the bottom right TV instead. Sorry for any confusion this might have caused!
It’s exciting to see the return of Panasonic to America. I’m currently using a Panasonic Plasma from over a decade ago, and it brings me back to a time where brands could be trusted and television technology was rapidly changing.
Wouldn't mind seeing Pioneer get back in the game, too. I've still got a 50" 720p Pioneer plasma (not Elite) from about 17 years ago and the pic is still awesome. Just need an Apple TV to make a smart TV.
At 3:54 I was 100% convinced that the TV on the bottom right was the A95L. How does the G4 have such a different color signature when it uses the same panel as the Panasonic?
It's quite odd they didn't mention the obvious color discrepancy. In other reviews where the G4 was calibrated it was extremely similar to a calibrated A95L in most scenarios. Were those out of the box settings or what's happening?
Tuning and image processing on the Panasonic is top tier. The LG is great too. The Sony A95L beats the crap out of the Samsung QDOLEDs too as Samsung is the weakest at processing and tuning.
Is the A95L and G4 correctly labeled in the comparison? QD usually shows more of a red shift and the G4 pic looks absolutely horrible. There is no green in the trees. Just a muddy brown like color.
When is Panasonic going to figure out that the buying public will give them 200-300 dollar grace in their pricing over other televisions if they would do one simple thing: provide a backlit remote.
@@Jza-GZa40kmy guy it's fake surround sound 😂, unles it physically comes with external speakers it's not surround sound. Most people that are buying in this price range will more than likely have a home theater set up so this is just wasted time effort and money
@@Laserdreamz DTS-encoded BRs and DVDs will either playback with basic 2-channel audio or none at all if routed via the TV. Panasonic is doing a Samsung here. Braindead, penny-pinching decision again, based on the stupid assumption that people only ever stream and never use physical media. But there's more nonsense here: Panasonic make BR players that support DTS, so why don't their TVs? Hardly a sound approach (no pun intended) to offering customers a seamless one-stop Panasonic solution.
I don't get it why FireTV is perceived not good. To me it seems not better or worse than GoogleTV or other tv operating system. Alex, check again because it seems the TV supports Chromecast
How the sound compares to an old Rear Projection TV with big cone speakers and a box subwoofer inside? For example a Sony Grand Wega? Also how low can the bass on the Panasonic Z95A get when adjusting the sound modes, equalizer and bass?
Yes. YES! this is what I'm talking about. Give us THICK TVs! with heatsinks! But I'm still not moving from my C1, as it's still the best for gaming by far thanks to BFI support.
Question about the built in sound system, seems fine if your Blurays have Atmos soundtracks - but what if ( like most ) have DTS-HD or Dolby true HD, it cant play these so you are limited to dolby digital from discs?!
I worked for Panasonic in the 90s when they were in their uk pomp. Great to see their return. Im thinking of pulling the trigger on rhe mz800b 65 inch OLED which is bub 1000 usd atm Would you recommend this oled tv ?
Any chance of some more info please as i have this on my shortlist of tvs. What do films look like on this? Is the motion fluid? Is it better than the g4 or the a95l? What is gaming like on this? Where's Abby? Thanks.
Maybe you guys should stop saying back in North America here as I asked Panasonic Canada about the Canadian market and they told me exclusively in the US for now… unless something has changed in the last month…?!?
Hey alex. Im sure abby fans will not be happy for a bit lol but yeah fire t.v OS is con for this one but yeah using something external like Roku or the mac variant on it might be only sub for it
@michael-4k4000 nope i have here the a90j x95k and B8 and Panasonic is way better With the pq. Alone the true Game Mode With the ps5 is better than the Automatic synchro from Sony 🤣
I feel like most people that are looking at this price range have dedicated home theater systems so this definitely a useless gimmick though I do like how thick it makes the tv I hate the dumb thin look
Great TV -- but for that price you are probably better off with a G4 or A95L, which are both better TVs. Heck you can probably get the G4 for significantly cheaper (at least in the US).
Why would it be e-waste you should know what you are buying before you buy it. And sure fire tv is not for everyone then it pretty simple buy another TV

A95L looks like trash lol
It’s exciting to see the return of Panasonic to America. I’m currently using a Panasonic Plasma from over a decade ago, and it brings me back to a time where brands could be trusted and television technology was rapidly changing.
I hope that also Philips do a comeback to America too
I'm in the same boat as you, still amazing picture quality! Just not 4k
Wouldn't mind seeing Pioneer get back in the game, too. I've still got a 50" 720p Pioneer plasma (not Elite) from about 17 years ago and the pic is still awesome. Just need an Apple TV to make a smart TV.
Still watching on my VT65…phenomenal quality. Will definitely buy the Z95A
Yep, still rockin my Panasonic tc-p50u50.
At 3:54 I was 100% convinced that the TV on the bottom right was the A95L. How does the G4 have such a different color signature when it uses the same panel as the Panasonic?
Same panel, doesnt mean same color management, thats their own system they use, not LG’s
It's quite odd they didn't mention the obvious color discrepancy. In other reviews where the G4 was calibrated it was extremely similar to a calibrated A95L in most scenarios. Were those out of the box settings or what's happening?
White balance difference. It's fixable.
The A95L is bottom right. They screwed up. QD-OLED will always appear more "red" when next to WOLED when photographed.
Tuning and image processing on the Panasonic is top tier. The LG is great too. The Sony A95L beats the crap out of the Samsung QDOLEDs too as Samsung is the weakest at processing and tuning.
Thanks for reviewing this awesome TV!
Thanks for watching 😄
Are you sure the G4 is on the bottom right & not the A95L? With the reddish tint, it looks more like the A95L & its QD-OLED panel.
That was a mistake on our part. Sorry for any confusion this might have caused. We've added a pinned comment to address it!
@ No worries. I appreciate you being so responsive & addressing the subject so quickly 👍🏻
I was going to say the bottom right looked the best so I was disappointed when the Sony wasn't bottom right. 😅
Dolby vision and HDR10+ has it for me

Why try to cram in a surround system instead of 2 better quality stereo speakers?
Surround sound is better than some speakers,It’s technics,They are absolute quality
@@Jza-GZa40kmy guy it's fake surround sound 😂, unles it physically comes with external speakers it's not surround sound. Most people that are buying in this price range will more than likely have a home theater set up so this is just wasted time effort and money
No mention of DTS support in the review. Pretty pointless including a surround system if Blu-Ray playback is crippled by a lack of DTS.
Was also wondering this, I guess too no Dolby True HD support so blurays are limited to...AC-3/dolby digital?! Seems mad.

How is the VRR support? Any of the issues like you'd find in the TCL TVs?

Those lower end tv's are not made by Panasonic and outsourced to Vestel.
Swivel is a nice feature, shame barely any TV's are swivel anymore. Have to buy a swivel vesa stand to get that functionality nowadays.

This dude must have video hosted somewhere else? Seems so natural to him that this can't be his starting level! Great job! 👏
Thanks for the kind words! 😄

The lack of DTS support is simply a NO GO for a flagship TV.
Only 2.1 HDMI ports is a no go for me. I guess I'll be getting a S95D.
How many gaming consoles or PC you got bud 😂

Watching TV shows rated lower rtings. Why ?
The brightness scores need to be significantly lower 5 or lower
mmm I love a THICK TV. Much more room in there for things I like such as speakers and cooling apparatus
What’s a good OLED/QLED TV UNDER $2000
Look I would prefer Abby, we all would. But Alex is not a bad substitute teacher. Thanks Alex!!
Good job Alex! I know everybody loves Abby, myself included, but I thought you did great.
It would be nice if he could learn to control his mouth movement to the sides.
I would have bought this here in Japan if it didn’t have a soundbar
That's pretty stupid bud
Panasonic took the sonic part too seriously on this one
just make a tv
I bought this one for 3300 in 77 inch. Great picture quality.
And imagine what they can do with the pentonic 1000. They maxed the the last one out.
100%. Sony is crushing it!
@michael-4k4000 nope i have here the a90j x95k and B8 and Panasonic is way better With the pq.

Rtings clearly makes Panasonic look average lol. Must be on purpuse
It competes with all the other high end brands how is it average 😂
@AndrewB23 why do you ask me? Something wrong with your head? 😆🥔 Its literally the best.
Glad their back, BUT the value is terrible. I'll stick with my S89C.
Bad value if it lasts 20 years?
@@bgates275 20 years for an oled? good luck with that
It's literally leagues above that tv 😂
The speaker system is useless to me as I already have a home sound system. So that it adds unnecessary cost.

It's not a Panasonic, it's a Vestel TV with Panasonic branding.
So apparently Vestel is an incredibly high end accurate brand that competes with sony
We want Abby back!
!!! Abby !!!
not Abby, not fun.
Extreeemely bad value. G4 is muuuch cheaper.
Fire TV?? That kills it.
Really? Just use an external device dude
Its fast and better than Google tv
Still better than webos or tizen
Integrated FireTV is a dealbreaker. What a waste... e-waste to be specific.
Why would it be e-waste you should know what you are buying before you buy it. And sure fire tv is not for everyone then it pretty simple buy another TV
Quite disappointing. Mediocre HDR in game mode and gradient, but still costs a fortune...
Why didn’t they use QD-OLED and produce at least an 83 inch TV. Also why are you making funny faces?
Because qdoled is inaccurate oversaturated colors
Seriously Sony use QD OLED in their A95L and iff to ranked the best of all TVs
Who tf is this, and what have you done with Abby?!
