You can find the ACTUAL music of CKY continuing under the band 96 Bitter Beings. I still find it absurd they tour under the name as Deron was almost 100% their sonic core. CKY with Chad and Jess is a tribute band living off another man's work.
You are correct. Deron was a very critical member of the band they just can't recover from that loss. It's sort of like what happened to Sick Puppies after they lost their first singer.

I loved AAF back in high school. Always thought they made a mistake by having Smooth Criminal as their first single. Not that it wasn’t an awesome cover song, but that kind of killed their reputation. So many other great songs on that album they could have led with. Instead they became “that band that did the Michael Jackson rock song”.
Technically we are not “late into the 21st century” there are still 75 years and 7 weeks left of the 21st century, but anyway, I agree with your point. Bands need to grow up and stop acting like they can just tell everyone to f-k themselves and treat everyone like dirt just because they are in a band. I know being in a band is supposed to be the best “job” in the world, but you still need to respect other people whether they are a fan or in another band.

I met the guys from AAF back in college. They were solid dudes. After Dryden getting hurt in the accident, I kind of lost track of them. I'm glad he stood up for the crew. It doesn't matter if you're behind the stage or in front of it, everyone deserves to be treated right.
I'm not into either of these bands but the guy he punched has had a C1/C2 neck fusion surgery???!! Is he insane?? He could have paralyzed that guy!! AAF still so underrated. New album is great! "Movies" is on multiple often-followed playlists of mine. That band is insanely talented and unique. They always kind of reminded me of an updated version of Mr. Bungle

Alien Ant Farm had actual hits that charted on mainstream bill boards, CKY is a relatively unknown Indy band that had a brief period of visibility because of Jack Ass. The difference between these two bands from a financial and mainstream success stand point isn’t even close.
Tried listening it and it was awful. Shippensburg started out promising but then one Derron started singing I legitimately laughed at how bad and far from the original it sounded.
When they played here in my town, he was such a prima donna. He wanted to cancel the show saying there wasn’t enough people to play for and truly just seemed miserable.

I too love the new AAF album...I just wish it had the same mix as ANThology. That album sounds incredible and unfortunately on the new record the drums and bass don't have the same punch. AAF has phenomenal musicians, they deserve to be heard!
