@@TheMangaSloth I don't know if you're aware, but there was also a two chapter "volume 0" with a Kurapika backstory. It was handed out for the HxH movie in Japan in limited quantities. Don't know how hard it is to find, but it's out there!

Japanese Convenience stores sell everything not just food but clothes manga etc. I went to at least one if not two or three while I was in Japan in 2017. Great Haul and video as well.

@@TheMangaSloth They have 7/11 family mart and a couple other main convenience stores in Japan. Reina Scully (she lives in Japan as well) has videos comparing food from the convenience stores on her youtube channel.
Wild pick ups bro. I like how you and your wife explore different genres, its definitely a good way to freshen up the collection and also the reading material. I've been reading seinen for quite a while now and while I still rally enjoy it, the constant bombardment of darker topics starts to rub off on my conscious and I feel compelled to put it down for extended periods of time.
I'm definitely trying to spice up my tastes more often now - looking to grab some chill titles such as Dragon Ball as I loved the anime during my childhood. I'm also interested in some joesei work such as Paradise Kiss and Helter Skelter - hopefully it rejuvenates me to start reading more frequently.

Yo you're picking up so many series😂 I've started a lot of isekai lately too lol. The Magic Knight Rayearth box sets are sooo gorgeous. I heard it's the best magical girl series (better than sailor moon, cardcaptor sakura) and the OG isekai.
Oh yeah I have been on a bit of a isekai binge haha. Rayearth is great! I think I like Sailor moon better but its def good!

This video and the haul was so huge and amazing! :') Actually Love Me Love Me Not had only one volume left and it will over on next volume in January! 2.Lots of manga that had published in english recently will getting an anime for 2022 and Love Of Kill is one of them besides Spy X Family and etc etc 3.Rei Toma is one of my favorite shoujo mangaka and i think almost all people who read her series for example Dawn Of The Arcana and The Water Dragon's Bride those two was a great series including with The King's Beast and the pacing of that one was kinda reminded me a little bit of an K--drama historical that i watch on Netflix for example is The King's Affection and that one is based on manhwa title Yeonmo! :) I also love reading webtoons as well besides manga and manhwa lol! :)

Same thoughts with No. 5, I dropped the volume 1, it was exciting at first but no it was difficult to understand because of all of it. The art is unique but no, it’s also confusing. The main character also lacks any charm. Planning to sell it.
InuYasha and Ranma 1/2 are still my favorite series by Rumiko Takahashi. I'm so excited to pick up Mao. :) Omg, I haven't read or watched Magic Knight Rayearth in so long! The boxsets are certainly on my wishlist.

I hope you like Mao if you grab it! The Reyearth boxsets were a surprise how nice they are! She has not read that wolf boy is mine but she has picked it up a few times. She may read it in the future!

I've been trying to pick up Twin Star Exorcist as well. I've read the first few vols on the app and I really like it so far. Seems like vol 1 is sold out everywhere though.

Twin Star in my opinion is very good. Just because you watch the characters grow up and not that many manga do that. I have been looking at the side story of so I'm a spider so what for a bit and may get. The Girl From The Other Side is on my pile to be read. I just have to read about 40 other volumes to get to it. Overlord is more of a slow burn in my opinion and it takes a bit for it to ramp up. I been thinking of picking up Rozi and the Labyrinth for like months. Ran and the Gray World is so good and I am happy that you guys are liking it. Sorry For my Familiar is ok, but I do find some of the part very funny. I only have up to volume 6 so I have no idea after that. Chillin' in Another World is on my to be read pile and I hope that it is good. I will say that the Magic Knight Rayearth look so good. The Strongest Sage With The Weakest Crest I like a lot( Volume 6 just cam out), happy that you like it.
All and all, good video! One day I hope that I could dope $1000 on manga, but for now I am good for where I am at!
Yes I agree the growing up aspect of TSE feels awesome! No need to rush to Girl from the other side take your time thru your TBR I need to do more of that and not skip around as much. Overlord does feel like a slow burn I did read vol 2 at the time of this comment and have 3-4 on the way so its getting better (not that is was bad to start). I think you will like chilling in another world! I was very impressed with the Reyearth sets thay were very nice and good story! As for Weakest crest I am hooooooooooooooooooooked its real good and I got vol 6 in the TBR and cant wait to get to it!

How’s the fights/battles and power system? Is there a good amount of villian/hero groups?
@@sharebear421 The fights I think that they are good, but some of them I like more then others. Power system I don't think crazy. It is more there to help the story move forward. So not like Hunter x Hunter and more like DBZ. There is only one group of villains(Kegare) and heroes(exorcist) each. All and all I like it. In my opinion the story feels more a long the lines of. Watching the two main characters become closer to each other as they got older. At the same fighting and exorcising things. I hope that helped!

Question how do you find and decide which manga to read and buy
Well a bit of everything but I get recommendations from you guys and other people. Then I go to stores sometimes and just pick up stuff in genres I like etc. A good amount of series in this haul were more spontaneous pickups but ended up good. But a good way to make sure you dont waste money is asking people, reviews, recommendations, and even trying a chapter or 2 online or in store to see.
For overlord I feel like the light novels are way better then the manga, nice haul though!
Well that may be true for most light novels. I am just a manga sloth not much of a novel sloth atm haha

I think it was pretty poorly done of Viz translators to write the name as "Tite Kubo". Japanese is a phonetic language, so I assumed for the longest time his name should be read "Tee-tay", too. What Viz was going for was just "Tight", though, since the Romanji of his name is "Taito".
