  • DISCLAMIER: THIS IS ONLY MY WAY OF DOING THIS AND MY EXPERIENCE ON THE SUBJECT, everybody does thing differently in wicca and thats totally okay, my way of doing things is certainly not the same as everyone else and also may not be your 'right' way of doing things. Also if you dont believe in this stuff and are NOT open minded and are just stopping by to be unkind, this is probably not the video for you.

When I was 11, I was obsessed with nature. I went on a week long trip with my school and since I had no friends at the time, I talked to a tree named Larry. Me and Larry were very similar. Larry was alone because he was a type of tree that had some sort of chemicals that prevented other trees from growing near it. Larry was huge and was struck by lightning once and had a large scar. This could trigger some people but I had recently been through a lot and I had scars too. I always talked to Larry about my problems and he talked back. It never got boring talking to him for hours.

I had a tree I talked to too. I always talked to him after school (elementary) bc He grew near it :)
But he didnt have a name, He was just "my tree"

Bro I just realized something.. A long time ago, I was at an award ceremony for softball and this girl I was friends with (her name was Iris) said that she talked to trees. She brought me to the tree farthest from everyone and began talking to it. She told me that he talked back but he was just shy and she would also see magical creatures like Fairies and Elves. Now that I'm studying Witchcraft, I realized that this can be true

I had this tree named shella and she was a willow and I used to sit and talk to her she would tell me that I needed to find my path... I forgot about this until now. She was lonely and the closest tree to her didn’t like her because she spoke the truth. I asked before I climbed her and she would only let me no one else could. I remember her...I wanna visit her

I talk to trees, my favourite tree is one outside my house, nobody knows i speak to her. Her name is Delilah and she is an oak. Honestly she got me through my depression, my parents split up and i never realised how much it affected me. Ive spoken to her every day for 3 years and she talks back. 🌺🌸🥀🌹💫

My brother threw a stick at me and i literally yelled, "THIS IS THE PERFECT WAND" I could just tell it was meant to be. i sanded it down and made it how i wanted it and I'm gonna burn in the pentacle. i just knew it was meant for me and to be used as my wand

I had no idea this was a thing. You've sucked me in for sure. I'm not very familiar with Wicca and I didn't believe it was real until I met a real witch and lived with her for a few months. I had serious, serious intense anxiety and she took me outside during a full moon and asked me to raise my hand and put it against hers and this calm washed over me and I really did feel better. She taught me so much and really showed me a world in which I may never have seen otherwise. As a species and especially in America, we've lost touch with the earth and nature and genuine roots.

Since I was a little child, I felt something unique about nature. Sometimes I just left my friends and stayed back to just look at leaves and search pictures in them
And ever since then, I always felt, after a friend leaving me, or when I experienced loss in general, that nature is always there for me.
I even felt the need to "make up a religion based on the worshipping of nature" but I found myself stupid, obviously I couldn't do that.
I always had strong love towards gods, I mean the celtic ones.
And then, when I sterted reading a book about them and had a crystall collection (I always loved them) I hear about wicca.
It's like "oh so that's what I was looking for"
Thank you for showing me this wonderful religion.
Also, of course, your makeup is fantastic again :D And you are so respectful, sweet and kind..
Really, I'm so glad I found you.
    Thank you.

I have had those exact feelings since I was about four! I am still in touch with nature and animals. I'll be walking to gather sticks and rocks. And there's just this random cat that follows me. It hates everyone else. Hisses when people come near it. But for me. It just walks besides me. I can pet it. I can even run and it's not scared. Sometimes I talk to it. I think it's listens.

I saw someone else’s comment about how to they used to talk to trees and SAME
In Georgia, we have pine trees (huge farms of them actually), peach trees (Peachtree City, peach state) and just your other types of trees, like a live oak. But whenever it was time to play outside, I’d either play with my dolls or go play with the nature (until I got in trouble for it >_>). I’d press my hand to the tree, take in a deep breath and I felt this positive energy coursing through me. I was always afraid the ants would bite me for touching their walking space but they always went around my hand.
Sometimes I would just pick up leaves just to look at how beautiful they were and talk to trees about how big and strong they were. Idk
    I like trees

If you are looking for a form of magick that you can actually use in real life to get sh-t done, look up “Unlocking the Secrets of Sorcery” on Amazon. When I say get sh-t done, I mean more than the type of effect you would get from prayer, which is what witchcraft these days has become. So, if you want to be far ahead of any fluffy-bunny magick practitioner, get this book.

I have been a witch my whole life with no understanding or desire for a wand. Then earlier this year a dear friend gave me a crystal wand and it has very quickly become a big part of my practice. It just goes to show that when the right tools find us is when we are meant to work with them. Lovely video, peace and love.

I went wand hunting in the woods. Instead of finding a piece of wood, I walked upon the carcass of a deer I took a bone from it after saying a blessing prayer and sprinkling tobacco from cigarettes on to the bones. The wand proves to be quite useful and personally I feel a stronger bond using that wand compared the wooden wands I've used before.

I remember when I was like 5 or 6 years old my family was going to make wands and if I am remembering this correctly there was a bit of a different procedure to it. We never got to finish them because my family became Christian again and threw them away ☹️ but my Mom explained some of what was going to happen which I thought was really cool. My parents were going to leave the wood and crystals we had bought outside under the full moon, for cleansing, then they had planned on charging the wood with the crystals that we had picked out. I don’t know how exactly I just remember being super excited then totally bummed when we stopped, but hey thanks for posting this it is something I have really wanted to do for a long time and it is good to have more info since I don’t really know what I am doing. Again thank you for making videos on something that I have felt a really strong connection to since my childhood 😋.

My wands are nothing more than branches off of my ash tree in the front yard. LOL. My staff is off of my 65 foot tall golden poinciana tree. I also have a cane that is natural. I don't decorate them up. They are as the gods gave them to me. Pure. Undecorated. I take the bark off, clean them up, and use oils to keep them supple, but I don't add crystals, or paint, or carve them. Well I did on my staff, but that was something the gods asked me to do. By the way....I've been an eclectic solitary pagan witch with a mostly Egyptian pantheon for 45 years. I'm an old crone now. LOL.

And I found myself a very beautiful stick in front of me, Idk why but it wasn't covered with rubies or gems, just a plain clean stick that is a little bit bent and pointy on top. I was SO drawn to the stick that I had to touch or get it and claim it as mine. So I’m of the opinion that wands are from a combination of elements
    Wood: earth, water
Bone: spirit, earth, water, air POSSIBLY fire?
Crystal: earth plus depending on the color, that adds more elements, for example, an amethyst wand would be earth and spirit, blue quartz would be earth and water, etc
Stone: earth and depending on where it’s found, that add elements(beach stone, water and earth, found on the street, earth and spirit, etc.)
    Shell: earth water and spirit

how do you practice wicca if you 1) live in a household that is against it and 2) have no clue what god/goddess you believe in 3) pantheons in general

    • @dudamartins8515
      @dudamartins8515 7 ปีที่แล้ว +103

Wicca is just one of the many religions that practice witchcraft, and it is very focused on the goddess, so practising it means you believe in this specific goddess as a main religious force. Pantheons are something you will have to study and get experience with, so don't worry. If you really want to practice something, studying is the first and most important step. About your home situation: You need to respect the rules you have at home, even if they don't respect your beliefs. You can always practice it secretly, which is how almost every witch starts. Or you can just wait until you move out.
What I recommend is studying other kinds of witchcraft, like Natural Witchcraft, that does not have any God or Goddess, just Nature itself. Anyone that wants to join this magical experience being a witch is, contact me. My Instagram account is @_dudamartinss_

Sierra Shaffer I live in an unexcepting household and the best advice I can give you, is just pass it off as different hobbies. Explain all your crystals as just a hobby of crystal collecting, say that you just really love sented candles, say that you just really want to take up gardening for when you grow your herbs, etc. And also, you can make a smaller alter and keep it in a mint tin. Just Google "Wiccan Alter Mint Tin" and you should find more information on that.

I was heavily interested in Wicca at one point but due to life stuff I decided it would be easier to begin my journey with a less strict part of Pagan beliefs. Sierra Shaffer go to a relevant library and read read read. That way you can create your own practice with that education. Keep a separate book to make notes in. Once you've got a basic history you could move into online research although online info can be tricky/ biased/ boloney.
My point is: I think if you become more educated and clear on what is important to you, you can find a way to incorporate it into your practice around your life where your family will not be involved/ opposed/ in a place to object/ violate your choices 😊

I was out walking one day and I found a stick I just felt great connection to. After a while of having it in my home I thought “hey! I have a bunch of little crystals that would be perfect!” so I spent a lot of time putting the crystals into the knots of the stick and the bottom. I kept feeling it need something a bit more and I spent a long time deciding what else I wanted to do. I eventually decided I wanted to wrap certain areas in white wool. It is very special to me and has a great connection, perfect now that I have actually starting looking into wicca!

She must be explained to. People have a shady view of Wicca and it's practices. You must know first that we are all open to Wicca as it is not really a religion. It is probably the most scientifically accurate and as well as the most nonviolent practice EVER. If you want to start out, you should find your element. Your element can be the following four: Earth, Air, Fire, Water. Also (through time) try to find your strengths and weaknesses in Magick arts. I myself am a crystal healer/Child of wind. You might have the gift of sight, or the elements and even healing, it all depends on how you were made and what you were made to do. Love to all!

I have a wand made of dogwood. I hollowed out the handle to give it a core made of crow feather and a small piece of citron stone, 12 inches. I was inspired by Harry Potter to put the ingredients inside the wand, sealed at the handle. I like to whittle and I like to do woodwork, so please don't let that comment turn you away. On the outside, it looks fairly boring. But I'm not flashy. I've found it to be very effective. But you are 100% correct, it is unique to the individual. I get great results with nearly everything I do, my peers on the other hand will sometimes try to copy my methods, and it won't work for them. I tell everyone, you HAVE to find your own way. It's a gift and a curse. One piece of advice, if you do carve your own from raw wood, I highly encourage you to put lacquer or some other protective agent on the wood. I understand that this makes it slightly unnatural, and it's not a good ingredient to put on a magical object, but it will protect the wood from being stained or breaking down. My grandmother had a wand, made from Apple. But thus far, none of us have been able to get it to work for us, so it stays put up. When left out, the "poltergeist" effect occurs. I guess the wand misses her as much as we do. But, to be honest, my broom gets more use. A lot of people underestimate the broom as a tool. Yes, it does cleanse a space, but it can also carry a spirit of its own, and can greatly aid in out-of-body experiences, astral projection, and sending energy at great distances or communicating with people telepathically from a distance. My broom is basically my wand. Incidentally, its also made of dogwood. That was a coincidence though, because my broom was made for me by a very good friend. I've made changes to it, I've added Japanese maple, meadowsweet, and marjoram (in the bristles) with tiny quartz, onyx, and amethyst crystals hanging off the midsection on a 5 inch string. I also bless it once a month with an adornment of fresh mint (to keep him happy). My familiar, which I keep bound to a poppet, stays with it regularly. Probably my most sentimental magical item I regularly use. But, to each their own. I have a friend who ordered a very expensive wand, long and slender, made entirely out of a carved piece of magnetite. Very different route.

I actually used to have a wand but I didn't know how to use it. I mean it was a single metal chopstick that my mom had found and given to me, so it was a sort of cool story, so I thought it would be ok to use it for my wand. I charged it with my own personal energy but I was a baby witch at the time and (even now, sometimes) rarely did circles or rituals. I only ever used it to cast circles or to stir magical oils I was making. Eventually I couldn't charge it anymore, it just never felt like it took any energy, almost like a phone battery that's been plugged up 24/7 and no longer can hold a charge. I just wound up discarding it. Now I'm looking into getting/making another, and actually using it properly, consecrating it and all. I have no idea if I'm connected to any trees; I'm a secular eclectic witch who specializes in sea witchcraft, so I may try to get ahold of a piece of driftwood or something.
Anyway, this video was really helpful. Thank you for making this series!! (also your makeup is literally ALWAYS on point)

When my grandpa died a couple years after my grandma, I went to her garden and to the tallest tree. I chose one of the lower branches growing upward, and whispered to grandma what I wanted and why. Had a strong vision of grandma and grandpa coming through the light and told me "as long as it's for good, take it". I have no idea what kind of wood it is, only that grandma planted and grew the tree.

I know this video is old and all, but when I was little I was obsessed with Crystal's I used to find loads of shiny rocks and keep them and when I found out about the fact that you can buy real Crystal's, I went mad and begged my mom to buy me loads. Then I was really interested in faries. They were just so pretty, magical and interesting (around this time I LOVED mermaids too) and the last thing I was OBSESSED with was wicca/witches/ wizards/ witchcraft. I've always been quite a "magical" person in the sense that I have always been connected with a lot of "magical" things. I'm now 12 and getting back into wands and wicca and stuff like that.

That's lovely. Just to say, be careful when it comes to fairies and the fae folk. They can be quite tricky, having lots of rules that we don't understand, and some can be dangerous! We made a fairy garden and then was told about the cautions and some scary folklore and legends about the fae. They can be quite dark so be careful.
Crystals and nature and magik for good is vert fulfilling and positive though! Keep following your path. The world needs more people connected to the magik and wonder of the world. ✨️

Personally my personal wand is made out of a pruned woody branch from my grandparents old Lavander bush, I just felt it was the perfect size and I just felt how right it was. I sanded the bark down to be smooth and the swirling patterns of light and dark just was incredible. I didn't decorate it yet, its still relatively new, but I plan on adding to it as I go

I always used bamboo for the wand part, so I could have a living wand. Tis also cool when your wand grows every now and then. I hope you do a video on Headology next as this should be the first or second lesson any witch learns. Making a person function better with placebo, setting a trigger in someone so they react a certain way or avoid certain actions, splitting someone's train of thought and reknitting it else where to make new synaptic connections and habits. I am not eloquent enough to describe it, but I am sure you could.

There was a really cool stick on the ground when I went out camping for a summer camp. I ended up picking it up and scraped off the rough outer layer of wood with a rock or something and I ended up sleeping with it in my sleeping bag, sticking it in between my side and waist of my pants while we hiked up to the top of the trail, then smuggling it back to the camp and back home in my suitcase. It’s on my dresser now, I had it in my mind that I’d turn it into a bow (though it’s about the side of my forearm), but I just couldn’t let it go in the woods there, I couldn’t leave it. Now that I’m researching this, I’m realizing that I was really interested in this sort of thing before I knew it was a thing haha.

All you need to do is write a letter or a sentence. Cross out all the vowels a,e,i,o,u and any repeated letters like I will, would be w l . Then you can get creative with the letters and make your own symbols. Don't forget to put a circle around it. You can later burn, bury or rip the sigils later for magical effect. Avoid words like I want and I need you must be more determined. Like I WILL I AM. that's what I have learned about sigils if that helps.

Sigil magick is included in this book.

We also have another tree in the garden, around 40 feet high, which I have a strong connection to.
