In this video I will go over some changes that have happened over the past couple of years for returning players & for new players to learn. I will also give my honest opinion on what you should do when you start out as a new player to help you progress even better, or when you make a new account as a returning player what you can do best. There are some things you SHOULD NOT do and some things I highly suggest everyone should do. Enjoy the video and hopefully I will see you ingame soon!

Addition: With the new 2.67 update it is now possible to class change for free up untill level 20. So if you want to start fresh you can try out different classes without having to make a new one each time.

feels... I played the Beta Rushu server when I was 18. Im 37 now. I loved that game so much. You could make some weird builds and make it work.

I still remember the questline that needed all the arch monsters in soul stones that took forever to complete. But honestly after playing all the new and old mmo games I have to say Dofus was the best one and still is. Too bad that everyone I knew quit the game in 2.0 update and our giant alliance of guids disbanded. (oldschool Rosal player from guild Good Old Days and Critical Hit)
Not everybody is gone. Most people actually came back over the years. Alot of people I knew from the Rosal/Rushu days are still playing these days.
@@eslixgaming756 I started again yesterday and I can see why people would come back the game is much more polished and easier than before. Who knows maybe even the legend himself Ralfeh (RalfyRalfy) will come back.

This questline still exists! They made a tiny bit easier to get archmonsters, but it's still practically as hard as it was back in the day, the concurrence is real and fierce!

Hey, just returned to Dofus two days ago so much has changed, been looking for class progression guides everywhere but seems its hard to find information. Would be amazing to find a guide to what builds to use, stas/gear at what stages of the game etc. Really appreciate your vids!

Bro i remember when a first guy hit 200 it was xxRAMBOplxx from Poland like 15 years ago on Rushu server it was f*** legendary there.. so much memories.I was playing in a quite big czech guild "Modra Krev" and remember few big guilds like Blank or Critical Hit, are there any czech guilds still alive ?
I dont know any czech guilds or players as im mostly active in the English community. But all the servers have meen merged last year so its 1 big community from alot of different countries now

If you mean bunch of keys, those reset every tuesday after maintenance. If you want to do it before tuesday just go to resource market and buy keys for the dungeon.

You will learn quick enough because the basics are still the same. Most of it is just a change in appearance.

Just start. Start with questing in incarnam, then astrub, follow the story line and dont rush to 200

Congratulations on the video in English, it's been more than two years since I've played dofus and unfortunately logging in today I noticed that they changed a few skills, especially Eniripsa, Enutrof and the panda. It makes me quite confused😬
Yep. They revamped those classes. Panda and Enu are much better now. Eni is questionalble. Buffing got nerfed but dmg got buffed.
@@eslixgaming756 the panda and eni classes are the ones that confuse me the most, from what I've seen eni doesn't have a lot of healing skills now and I just don't understand the point. Anyway I hope someday you will open a new video section, where you recommend cheap/expensive lvl 199/200 sets for each class, to give an idea of the new meta to returning players😁

When it comes to Eni they actually do have alot of healing spells but they heal allies and deal dmg on enemies. Gotta read the spells carefully cuz it might be a bit confusing.

Hi, if you plan a 4 man team a Panda is a must. Since Cra is a range dmg class its best to pick classes that are similar. Think off Feca ( chance ), Enu ( agi or chance/mp red ), Fogger, Eca, Hupper. Those are my best suggestions.

Feca 100%. Osa is good early game but lategame summons are kinda useless for pvm. Feca is top 3 best classes in the game imo.

Yes you can. Try one of these classes; Feca, Elio, Panda, Hupper, Sram, Cra or fogger.

Мнения по этому вопросу разнятся. Но чаще всего советуют Срам либо Енутроф. Первые практически бессмертны в пвм из-за своего инвиза и имеют кучу урона, вторые тоже неплохо дамажат + востребованы в пати и имбуют в лейте из-за повышенного шанса дропа.

Aw, random dofus drops got turned into quest rewards with what looked like fixed stats? I had a perfect turq and all. Then again I'm still averse to grinding things 15 years later so maybe that's for the best.
Anyway I just thought of this game again out of the blue and I've a couple of questions not covered by the video.
You mention a party of 4 several times, did the max party size get halved at some point?
It sounds like getting to 200 isn't that hard - is it no longer an absurd grind that requires all the exp from 1-199 all over again? I never got to 200 because of it.
I think the gear I had was a sleet/tengu snowfoux mix - is that still good or has there been an interminable level 200 gear power creep treadmill that renders it obsolete?
Also I think I recognise your character's name, did you play on Shika?
Hi. I used to play rosal and then Rushu. And ye. Dofusses are now quest rewarded with fixed stats & a passive bonus. All dungeons are now 4 loot minimum. If you add more than 4 chars you can go up to 8 loot. Leveling is alot easier these days with high level wisdom equips, idols ( will be removed soon ) and areas with massive bonusses. People can reach lv 1-200 in 1-2 hours if optimized.
Tho as a returning player i dont suggest leeching. I always say play the game at your level and slowly progress. Even then you can still reach 200 quickly. As for your old gear, its indeed far less good compared to new gear but still managable to start out with :)

So if youre playing 4(8) chars like you do, it begins to be single player game? You dont need people, isnt it boring? No offense, just asking about your perspective (i used to play 2007-2014 with breaks), because for me the most fun was playing with friends, eventually every of us had 2chars, but still it was team consisting of 4-6 ppls.
You made a solid point. Indeed if you play 4-8 accounts Dofus can indeed be played as a single player game ( besides the existance of the market economics ofc )
But that is assuming you also have the skills to beat all content. Even me, someone who plays for 16+ years, needs help with some content from time to time.
As for if its boring or not? For me personally no, I have a busy life. When I play Dofus Id like to get things done and dont wanna rely on other people to be online at the exact times to help me out. Sure occasionally playing together with others is fun but I dont wanna rely on others when it comes to clearing content.
Good thing to add is we have multiple discord channels so even tho im playing by myself it still feels like I am playing together because on discord we share our progress and talk to eachother and help eachother out when help is needed.
They fucked it up when you can't spend spell points of spells... :(
no lol. Why you think that? The new spell variant system is way better. Your spells level up when you level up so its a much better system. Back in the days only the rich could afford to have all spells lv 6 and they had a huge advantage in the game.
The system was the same for everyone. Getting rich was possible for everyone, too. More builds and different characters for same classes. Back then you wouldn't know who's got what up their sleeve because of many builds and spell customization. Now is just kind of predictible. For me, it was one of the reasons Dofus 2 didn't went along. :(
@@JungalistDrummer I would argue that with the current system its opens up for way more possibilities with spell customization. Since you have to choose between spell varaints etc. Back then it was always the same spells. Defenitely alot less predictible now than back then.

Wow I played this game a lot before going to university so I think 2006 to 2010.
Back then it was so hard to reach level 200, I had to play 10h a day for many many months to make it. I remember I was grinding the same dungeon over and over for only 5M of exp. Level 199 to 200 was endless.
I had 6 characters and I would manage to run the game with a super old PC with only 1GB of RAM.
If i understood correctly, reaching level 200 is v ery easy now right?
ye you could get lv 200 in like 2hours with Idols xp boost but They recently removed it. Theres a ton of stuff ingame like area bonusses etc that can boost ur xp, its still possible to reach lv 200 in a day if you get leeched. ( But ofc I dont recommend getting leeched unless you already got multiple 200s )
@@eslixgaming756 wow 1 day... vs 2 years of grinding before...also to get a proper high level set you needed to repeat the same dungeon like 20 times, which would take you days...and if you had 5-6 characters....uff you had to make all the sets it was endless.
I also remember how hard it was for me to get level 100 mining as it was super crowded and you could not find mining areas. Then they opened the Pandawa region and there was a level 80 mineral to mine.
Anyways, probably this is very old stuff, but after all this years I still remember dofus as one of the best and more magical games I ever played.

How is the movement convenience in this game? I tried dofus touch and hated how slow I have to run through every map and not enough teleports, is dofus the same? I like Wakfu where it's very convenient and has a lot of teleports
Teleports everywhere, zaaps, heaven bag, marriage, dungeon tp etc. You also have GPS potion on mounts for auto run while afk to take bathroom break.

playing a xelor rn, currently about lvl 43 with a full gobball set, the enemies hit really damn hard compared to wakfu, even lvl 20 enemies can hit me for almost 50 health of which I only have a little over 400, is this normal?
at lvl 43 you kinda want to upgrade your set. Also addapt your playstyle to avoid getting hit. Range classes always have advantage over cc classes.
You also forgot to do the complete beginners(only guide)

Its still mostly p2p but they did increase the f2p area. You can also buy p2p using ingame kamas so you never have to spend real money.

God..I played this 10 ago, I stop playing bc I didn't like the fact u need to pay weekly or monthly to get access to full areas. I want to return playing Dofus but even with this f2p area expanded I ask..is it worth playing without spend a single penny?
You can buy sub with ingame kamas. So you dont have to spend anything. However it might be good to spend maybe 10 or 20 euros to start out with. From there you should be good.
@@eslixgaming756 I know about the kamas to get a sub but when i played this, i used to farm a lot by working but it takes a bit and its just for 1 or 2 weeks and thats boring. If its easier now to get sub with kamas, or maybe if u have a guide to get kamas more easly maybe i consider returning and invest just 10 or 20 euros

Hi, I made a video of best classes in the game and ranked them based on their abilities, you might wanna check that out! In my opinion its Panda, Feca and Cra for pvm. Enu and Fogg are close to Cra tho.

Pandawas used to have this spell where it weakens enemies so your spells hit more damage to them but it disappeared. Did they remove it or is there an alternative?
Its now called Brewing. Variant of Stain unlocked at level 160. In Sober state it gives 110% dmg sustain and in drunk state it gives the gravity state to the enemy. Can be cast 2 times a turn max stackable 1 time. Also, its not liniair anymore like it used to so very good.

Id change Feca to chance for range with class boots or Agi if CC. Maybe focus more on improving the gear on your main 4 man team first. ^^

Personally I prefer to have a ''main team'' of 4 accs to run dungeons and do achievements quicker and easier as running 8 accs all the time takes alot of time and effort. BUT if you dont mind that and you like it then keep doing it. I have 8 accs aswell ( multiple chars on each acc ) but my main 4 are Panda, Cra, Feca, Enu. For dreams I use Panda, Feca, Ougi ( on enus acc ) and Masq/2nd ougi. Panda Elio, Iop Enu/eni can be nice aswell. Since you dont have an Elio. Maybe you can play CC team using Panda, Sac, Feca, Eni.

If you know you will always play only 1 acc then yes. It would be better to play mono acc server purely for the economy. Also its easier to find groups on mono acc server. But then again if you join our discord 99% of the people play on Tal Kasha. You can always find help on the discord. There are multiple people who play 1acc. And in the future always have the choice to build your own team.

100, and they are separated from normal stats now so no need to worry about scrolling before adding ur stats. If you reset stats ur scrolled stats will stay

How to efficiently play Dofus in 2023 (new or returning players): don't olay it. It's not worth your time.
Also the fcking Unity port is a lie, just like the cake.
Ye. Recently the game is in a pretty bad state. Server laggs and alot of bugs. On the positive side we build a great community in my opinion. Thats one of the reasons I still play. Gotta avoid the bugs and then we gucci. ;)

I logged back in after years of not playing. This is what I noticed :
The game already wasn't very friendly towards F2P players; you only had so many monsters you could farm in Incarnam and Astrub before hitting the ceiling for what F2P had to offer.
Logging back in, I come to see that the only F2P towns (Incarnam and Astrub) both have significantly shrunk in size.
Both towns used to be rich with players. Members would often be seen in the F2P areas because these areas still had something to offer to EVERYONE. F2P players could see members with all their swag and envy their items and membership; perhaps contemplate buying a membership pass for themselves. Now, both these towns are desolate.
Back in the day, players were being seduced into buying a membership by being told, "Here's 75% of a game, if you like that, we can double the fun to 150% with a membership." whilst today you are given 15% of a game and are being told, "What do you expect from a free game, buy our membership and you may have some fun".
In other words, I recommend anyone and everyone to stray away from this game, it's lost all its magic.
(If you need another reason, I had around 800 ogrines left to my account the last time I had played. When I logged back into my account, after recovering the OG account and pairing according to their new way of logging in, I noticed that all my ogrines had vanished. No reason, no excuses, just goodbye money I spent. Apparently there is a time period for you to use the ingame money you bought, and if not spent in time they just claim your cash as theirs.)
I dont know what exactly you checked when you logged but the f2p area has been significantly increased over the past years. Sponge dungeon and Royal gob dungeon are now for f2p players aswell. Aswell as the completely new area to the right of astrub city + incarnam got a complete overhaul that suits better for new players..... ofc the endgame area increased alot so yes obviously this makes it a bigger % of the game.
As for ogrines, its been known for over 16 years that ogrines had to be spend within a certain time. This was to avoid people abusing markets and buying/selling at the "right time".
The game is in a good state when it comes to content ( aside from the buggs and occasional lags ) but that will be solved when Unity comes hopefully.
@@eslixgaming756 A few years ago it took 4 screen swaps to get from the Astrub bank to its Zaap teleport. Now they are one screen apart. Each class had their own statue in Astrub to go back to Incarnam, now all absent. I'm not a dofus expert, but if you check the old map (2.0 I think or before) you will notice how wide those areas were compared to now.
Sure, they added some dungeons to F2P zone, but when you look at how old the game is, removing zones to add "new" ones is essentially removing content from members who already had access to everything, now with less.
Also for the ogrines: I understand what they said, but its plain stupid. Here's why. This means that every single time you buy something, you're either left with the choice of losing the spare change you're transaction has left you with ( usually not enough to buy anything in yhe market. ex: that 800 ogrines I mentionned are leftovers from another transaction and nothing interesting, if anything, could be bought with the remains), or buy more ogrines as to not lose your leftovers, buy more stuff with them, and be left in a constant loop of buying things for the sole purpose of not losing your ogrines hopefully until you find the perfect transaction that leaves you to 0 ogrines. In other words, the selling tactic of Ankama is pressuring people to buy so they don't lose what little they have left.

They let you play plenty for free to decide if this game is for you or not.

I love the nutty universe of Dofus. But the endgame is simply terrible and badly designed for most people, as it's completely catered to the few very capable elite players,
hence the very small population, as mediocre casuals has nothing to look forward to.

Tbh. Anyone can do endgame content. Just gotta learn mechanics. With budget equipment you can beat any dungeon in the game. Saying its only for the elite doesnt make sense.
