I haven’t done door-to-door in years now, always find it to be too time-consuming as a solo operator. I’ll do door hangers or EDDM mailings, with a few steady leads coming from Google LSA (google guaranteed). The google leads are getting a little pricey though, I might slow down on google if prices get any higher
@@bluladder yeah man! I honestly have wanted to steer clear from true door to door however I do see a plus side. I have basically settled on canvassing prior to doing a job to prepare others or go before and after saying I’d be in the area and pardon the noise or inconvenience it might cause. Feels less pushy or salesy
@@TacticalBigFootDad I think that’s the best way, honestly. It’s all about positive exposure. And if you can avoid irritating the entire neighborhood it helps 😂 I love 5-arounds (flyers/door-hangers dropped off at the 5 homes closest to the one being serviced. They see your truck, they see the flier with some type of neighbor discount, and then their neighbor tells them how great you are and they call. If I have time I’ll pass out some more, or if I’ve got a helper I’ll have him do it.
I’m in Houston. I love your videos and your love for Jesus. I’ve been doing windows on the side for a couple of years. Very modestly. I would like to get more serious and do it by the book. One question. When pricing, does your quote and suggested charges per window include sales tax?
That is awesome, thanks Tom! I always say “plus tax” when i send them the bid, so no it doesn’t include taxes. Need the price separate without the taxes anyways when you pay the monthly sales tax.
@@PrimalSound yes, some but not all. Pressure washing and window cleaning are taxable, but then something like painting the labor is not taxable but the materials used are.
