Charles Barkley was a relentless, reckless 263-pound rebounder in the paint. He was just a brutish, powerful, and nasty basketball player who was virtually unstoppable in the post. He was a beast
Rookie Barkley against the NBA’s best front line - Bird, McHale, Parish, Maxwell. Barkley was a force of nature. He makes no sense on paper - too short, too fat. For 10+ years, no one could match up against him.
Charles Barkley, Brad Daugherty, mentored by Moses Malone along with the two first round picks sent to Washington along with Malone for a broken Jeff Ruland would have kept Philly a viable contender into the 90s. Former GM Pat Williams had other plans for Philly which led to its slow decline.
This vintage Barkley when he was young and spry before his knees failed him. Later in his career he was playing below the rim and settling for a lot of jump shots.

Watching young Charles Barkley play basketball is like watching young Mike Tyson box - unbelievable strength, speed, power, explosiveness.
That Sixers team should’ve won another title
Insanely explosive
Barkley was a beast.
this is awesome! I was just watching the 85 playoff game on here and was linking his great plays!
Incredible!

7'+ wingspan and 39" vertical, Charles has far more reach than most players. Height doesn't matter.
Damn shame he caught moses and that Sixers team past their prime, man if he had a basic decent center at Phoenix he gets a few rings damn shame

Felt Harold Katz played a part as well
Has to be one of the worst trades in NBA history 🙄
