      The only way I could see that being a travel is if he slid his right foot before he stepped with his left to shoot. If they called the travel because he stepped with his left foot to shoot that is not a travel as long as you shoot or pass, once you lift the pivot foot….. maybe it’s because he didn’t jump. Hard to tell what they thought maybe not a good angle so it confused the ref. He did get pushed though.
      Some questionable calls in this game also that traveling on Jerry sichthing (spelling) was not a travel that was more offensive foul, but they didn’t want to give him one. He was an amazing role player man

    MJ coming off a broken right foot early in the season... 1st playoff game ever for him... 2nd playoff game ever for Mike it's a Smithsonian performance against the mighty Celtics... Bulls still got swept but # 23 put the world on notice at the Old Boston Garden big time

      There's a still from game 3 showing he was averaging 56 for the series. A slight preview of how elite his motor would eventually be for future postseasons (amazing for most fans, purists, casuals, etc)

    April 17 , 1986 .. im pretty sure that Len Bias from University Maryland watched this Game then went out an Worked Out when it was over, getting Himself ready to Play against Jordan in the 1986 - 1987 Nba Hoop Season

    I like the 80's Chicago.mJordan was amazing and the team pla fast and clever. But I adore the Celtics choreography: they don't play, they dance. But most of all, it delights me how DJ play against MJ, the allegedly best player of all times. Of course Denis Johnson was one of the great players of the 70's and 80's.

      The 1985-86 Bulls were not that talented. Their only other offensive threat was Orlando Woolridge, who would be a role player on just about any other team. They needed Jordan to score a ton for them to be the least bit competitive against a legendarily stacked team like the 86' Celtics.

      This is such a foolish, ignorant comment. Jordan was a great passer. The Bulls needed him to score as much as possible at this time. They didn't have much talent at all. Their second best player was a glorified role player, Orlando Woolridge. On top of that they were going against one of the greatest, most talented teams of all time.
