- Hey guys! In this video, I'll show you how I am creating my wedding flowers on a budget using faux silk flowers from the dollar store!
DIY wedding decor is a fun and unique way to add personal touches to your big day. These flower arrangements are definitely some cheap wedding decor that looks expensive... your guests will never know!

What is something that you wish you didn't spend so much on for your own wedding? Or what is something that guest just don't really care about? Comment below :)
Wonder Forest, I would say you should spend more money on the fundamentals like having good service ppl/caterers, a good makeup artist (like me haha) do a trial run for sure, venue etc. things to cut back on are maybe the bridesmaids’ dresses. I’ve always found that no matter what, or how cute, I only wore them once (unless they’re black). My best friend had us in black and I still only wore it once, so the style can be classic or trendy and look amazing, but the quality just needs to last a day and look good in pictures. Also, maybe just an open bar for wine and beer instead of everything. Maybe if they have to have liquor, they can just buy a drink. Idk just an idea. Love, Jessica Xox
Well, our wedding was as about as low budget as it gets. Just the two of us on a beach with a Notary Public. The only expense was my outfit and a bouquet. It'll be 13 years in 2 days :D
Boutineers and corsages for parents, grandparents, ushers, guest book attendant, etc. Guys especially don’t care.
The food ..no one really cares about the food ...we had real flowers and lots of them..I don't regret it at all ..all our pitchers were amazing..
@@kathrynbeattie8575 I would have to disagree with you on that 😅 in my family, the most important thing they talk about at weddings is the food.. It's like the most essential item. As for the decorations, they don't really care as long as it loiks nice and well put.
Maybe it depends on the people you're inviting to your wedding, each family has their own pickiness.
I've been struggling so much on how to decorate my Arch from my wedding and this has been the most helpful video I've seen so far everybody else's have been so complicated. Thank you for making this one more simple. Unfortunately, I'm just not a crafty gal 😩
My son is having an outdoor wedding in high summer next month and fresh flowers are not an option. This was really practical and useful AND can be done ahead of time. Thank you.

This looks so pretty! Flowers are so expensive so this is definitely the way to go for those extra arrangements that won't be seen up close or seen for more than a couple of minutes. Thanks for sharing!

I feel like if you want to try and make something like this look more real, spray painting the greenery a darker forest green like eucalyptus might help!

I'm having a small wedding in my house with about 20 guests invited give or take. I want to fix up my fireplace mantel. I want to decorate with flowers too, plastic ones. Probably I will get them from Michaels.

For my daughter's wedding, we're not going cheap on the venue and photography. We have a large family so the guest list is huge, but the upside of that is that they will all help out! One sister-in-law is doing the flowers (she's talented), another is doing the food (also amazing), my niece is playing the piano, others are helping with the decorating, etc. We have no DJ; we'll just have relatives emcee and have a premade dance list on my phone. We've found a lot of wedding supplies on FB Marketplace, so we saved a lot by buying pre-used napkins, wine glasses, tablecloths, etc.
How do you attach it to the arch?
I'm a florist, and while I would have definitely approached it differently, your end product is actually quite pretty. The only thing I should mention for future brides is that if you DIY some florals and have a florist do other parts, you need to make sure you let the florist know. Many florists have an exclusivity clause in their contracts because not everyone's DIYs come out this nice, and they don't want guests to associate tacky florals with their business. Congratulations, and great effort on the florals!
where did you get your greenery from
sany this is what I was wondering because our Dollar Trees around here have zilch for greenery....even Walmart is lacking. Hobby Lobby is way too pricey.
@@juliestensrud3862 u have to catch hobby lobby on their 50% off week on floral. You can get nice full bushes for at least $6

Annette California that’s what the zip ties are for around the foam. You’d just stick your wire behind the ties and attach to whatever you like

There's 2 different types of foam. There's wet foam for fresh flowers and dry foam and/or styrofoam for artificial flowers.
I wish I had just used fake flowers for the bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. It wasn't worth the money to get real flowers.
My boyfriend and I are both heavily allergic. There won't be a single real flower at that wedding. I'm getting them wholesale from China and arranging them myself months before the wedding, from the big backdrop wall, to the boutonnieres, including all the centerpieces, the bouquets and the petal for my flower girl. Also getting them artificial flower crown. You just have to do your research, order a sample, and do it well in advance. I even plan on spraying my flowers with natural perfume, so I can get the smell without the pollen, the sneezes and the teary eyes...

Grey is not your colour try nude pink or tan colour for your clothes. Hair colour can pull off vibrate rich colours like a strawberry blonde borderline ginger palette not wintery palette it makes you look tired and gloomy.
