People spend way to much money on weddings. Keep it simple and with the ones you truly love in attendance. Have a big party on a special anniversary.
Why not have a reason to celebrate something wonderful, in a big way? Life is too short not to. I think to each his own. I've known people who would rather elope and use the money they would have spent on a wedding for a down payment on a house or to go travel. I've seen people get married in their kitchen and have pizza delivered. People want what they want. Let em be.
If you are using a venue, you may need to check if they allow open flame candles. I have seen people use the battery-operated candles, and they look great. Also, another suggestion for saving money on cakes is to have a small stackable cake, and then have sheet cakes back behind. Cut the sheet cakes to serve your guests. This is also a money saver.
Just make sure you have someone assigned to cut up the sheet cakes. Some places also will do the cutting for you but they charge a dollar+ per slice of cake they cut.

These are actually great tips for any event! We do a charity mom prom every year. I will definitely be stealing some of these ideas for that!!

I am getting married in July to my Jr/High school sweetheart (we reunited 42 years later) I have been planning since Oct 2022 and I still feel like there is so much to do (Good Luck with your preps) Most everything I have created for my wedding has come from Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree didn't have nearly what they have now and not did it cost a fortune!! My hubby and I paid for everything with the exception of the cake and a portion of the food. Plus we DIY'd everything. It was crazy but so worth it. When our oldest son got married it was all catered and professionally done. It was pretty but didn't have the warm touch of a DIY wedding.

I'm widowed , but today would have been my 34th wedding anniversary. I wish we had Dollar Tree back then when we were planning our wedding . Our wedding was very fancy and gorgeous, took a year to plan, and was an amazing day, but using Dollar Tree products sure would have cut the cost lol Thanks for sharing 🥰💐🌷🪷🌞🍒💖✝💝 I love all of your ideas. I can't wait to see more DIY'S from you. I'm so excited you have a house now. You're going to make the most beautiful bride!!! I got married in 2007. I look back and think, Wow, that was something we didn't need to buy 😢. The DIY decorations are the way to go. Keep the party small and intimate. Don't invite anyone that isn't a part of your life, not your Mom's cousins or Dad's old buddy from work. I spent too much time going around thanking and visiting strangers with each of my parents. I wanted to be on the dance floor with all my girls from grade school and High school. Don't stress about stuff that people will NEVER remember. Please show your fans pictures after the wedding. I'm so excited for you! Take lots if photos. Especially of you and your groom. You'll never feel or look as beautiful as you do that day! It's that princess day.

All of your ideas are inexpensive, easy to do, and, most of all, very classy! Thank you for sharing, and I'm looking forward to any pictures you'll share from your wedding once your special day with your fiancée has come and gone!
Great ideas! Silk flowers cost less than fresh and arrangements can be made weeks ahead of time (vs. last minute, staying up all night). From the seats, guests can't tell they see a big silk arrangement up front at the ceremony. For inexpensive arrangements at the reception table, a single rose in a bowl of water surrounded by votive candles is elegant. Again, buy the roses at least 3 days early so they have time to open fully. Scatter the petals of one rose per table.

Great weddings DIYs!!! Planner tip on Sparklers ... the dollar tree ones are fun and inexpensive, but produce a lot of smoke which will ruin your send off photos. Please use the savings from all these great Diys and get sparklers made specifically for weddings.
I love all your videos but this one is my favorite, so elegant and simple "clean looking " I can't find the right word lol . These ideas could be used for milestone birthday parties and large family reunions, elegant baby showers ...
I have to add a gf of mine went crazy with expensive decor for her wedding and it all look so tacky and the table candelabras were too big so you couldn't talk or see the person on the other side of the table it was ridiculous

Just make sure to check with the venue about candles because some of them don't allow an actual flame and you'd have to get the battery-operated tea lights and things of that nature. Great video!
We had cinnamon apple scented tea light candles at our wedding and it smelled lovely for the fall, but it turned out my mother-in-law was slightly allergic. 😝 She was fine, but now I know why she propped the door open, she hated it. 😂 I absolutely love her but there always is that humor in the mother-in-law versus daughter-in-law choices being soooo different. She didn’t say anything until I bought her a candle by the same scent for Christmas. 😲

My sister bought a wedding sheet cake from Wal Mart for my wedding that fed a lot of people. I bought a Dallas Cowboys Groomsmen Cake for my husband.
I'm not getting married but some of these ideas can be applied to different things like birthday parties, showers and many other things I am a true believer of using something in a different way in other words not the way it was intended to be used

I'm so excited for you! Do you have a date yet? I planned my wedding in the 2 weeks between Thanksgiving and Dec. 12th of 1972. No, I wasn't pregnant. LOL But it was during the Vietnam war and he was leaving on Dec. 27 and was gone until June '73. I didn't know at the time but he was on an ammunition ship so his ship had to sit with ammunition for others to offload. He made it back!

If the reception goes into the night, you might get those snap rings from dollar tree that kids wear as braclets. Put them under your cake stand bowl with some flowers. We had a friend take pictures throughout our engagement days, and showed these on a big screen while guests were arriving.
