That's a good question honestly I don't know I've never changed oil after doing the power foam in my cars always had great results! It's not recommended for direct injected vehicles I personally wouldn't do it if it was my vehicle. However! I have had people on the channel do it on Twin Turbo European vehicles that were direct injected and they said the car never ran better. The most important thing is to never let the power foam hit any Electronics because you can burn out Electronics if you short it out.

My 2012 Prius is currently consuming oil about 1 quart every 1000 miles. What should I use to stop that? Any suggestions? Should I try this power foam or get Amsoil flush, change oil to signature and add gasoline additive to the gas tank? Thanks
That's a great question I believe so as long as you avoid any electronics you want to read the instructions on the can of power foam and be very cautious of getting any shorts or electronic from getting wet
Also you can spray the cleaner directly into the combustion chamber through a spark plug hole. We did this on my 59 Cadillac DeVille You'll see the full engine flush video if you type in 1959 Cadillac Amsoil engine flush You'll see everything we did to it

I had done this with Seafoam before. But when I unplugged my Mazda MAF sensor out, I couldn't ran my cx-5 anymore. I have ordered amsoil power from, I received it could days ago, haven't opened the box yet but I'm going to do it myself
Awesome yeah what unplugging the mass air flow sensor does It allows the car to run without the intake tube on because if it's still plugged in and there's no air flowing it won't start so that's the reason why we unplug the mass air flow sensor so you can run the car without air going over the sensor 🪙👍😊 Not sure if I explain that in detail in the video there were a lot of steps there and I think I may have missed it

I think you need to unplug the mass airflow sensor that way it won't read no air if you keep it plugged in it won't stay on so you have to unplug it like we did on Reggie's car. If that doesn't work you would have to find out from the technician what else you could do

Hi Eben!! I do have a question in regards of protecting the map sensor while amsoil power foaming the throttle body. I own a 2018 Jeep Compass. Those engines ( they call them power shark 2.4 engine) (same as the renegade), have the map sensor underneath the engine near the right front axle of the vehicle. To access it you need to remove your engine plastic cover and also the air filter housing top part needs to be removed. Do you think that I still should disconnect it while power foaming due to it's location or do you think it'll not be necessary? What do you recommend? Nice smoke show, I think thats my favorite part of the power foam! Quick question, have you ever done power foam on a gdi engine? I was curious because amsoils power foam sheet says it's not recommended for direct injection engines.
So I used this on a 2017 2500hd with 6.0 gas. Also used this on a 2012 equinox 2.4 gas. As far as I know both of these are direct injection. They both took it well. The equinox not as well as the truck but it survived.
Yeah I mean each vehicle is going to have different levels of carbon buildup and that's going to make a huge difference on the outcome on how much better it runs.
Yes it's safe however you want to read the instructions on the power foam thoroughly and you want to make sure you avoid any sensors. I haven't done it to my car because I do not know for certain exactly where the sensors are and the car runs really good I did do a second round of engine flush also the PI performance improver. I do not know exactly where every sensor is so for me it's not worth it because I have no warranty on my car and I don't feel like dealing with anyone to fix my car if something happens to a electronic part. If you can find out where all the electronics are and if I knew for certain I would do a video on my car on spring it into the intake. The intake can be hard to get to on some vehicles some vehicles it's really easy it's just depends on the car and how it's set up.
I've done three rounds of power foam on my 59 Cadillac and it has made a huge difference I also took off some of the spark plugs and let it sit on top of the Pistons and sprayed it directly into the combustion chamber
I found interesting how the OE Amsoil oil is 25 dollars cheaper than the Subaru oil, so for my next oil change ill order a box of 0w20 and see how it runs, my car has only 6000 miles so I'll switch at 12k miles. oil change

It depends on the vehicle application in the amount of fuel contamination on most vehicles you can go about two to six times longer with AMSOIL depending on which product you're using and the driving conditions.

@@Syntheticoilprotection I think it would be interesting to see how it does inside a old IDI Diesel engine like what's in my truck, but don't want to go 10,000 miles on the oil if it's not intended to go that far in my application. I also live in Arizona so the heat is coming soon.

you can take off the exhaust sensor and spray a can in there and it will hit the cats
That's a great question I have absolutely no idea all I know is the car is breathe better afterwards they run way stronger and they have better compression better engine braking.

I have never taken apart a catalytic converter and I do not know how they operate so honestly I have no idea until I would put my time in on that subject

Hi Eben!! I do have a question in regards of protecting the map sensor while amsoil power foaming the throttle body. I own a 2018 Jeep Compass. Those engines ( they call them power shark 2.4 engine) (same as the renegade), have the map sensor underneath the engine near the right front axle of the vehicle. To access it you need to remove your engine plastic cover and also the air filter housing top part needs to be removed. Do you think that I still should disconnect it while power foaming due to it's location or do you think it'll not be necessary? What do you recommend? I thank you before hand for your prompt response.!!!!!!

Nice smoke show, I think thats my favorite part of the power foam! Quick question, have you ever done power foam on a gdi engine? I was curious because amsoils power foam sheet says it's not recommended for direct injection engines.
Not that I'm aware of I honestly don't remember I don't think we did
So I used this on a 2017 2500hd with 6.0 gas. Also used this on a 2012 equinox 2.4 gas. As far as I know both of these are direct injection. They both took it well. The equinox not as well as the truck but it survived.
Yeah I mean each vehicle is going to have different levels of carbon buildup and that's going to make a huge difference on the outcome on how much better it runs.

Great video. Eben, is it safe to do this foam cleaning on my Mercedes E300 turbo? Have you done it on your SL 550?
Yes it's safe however you want to read the instructions on the power foam thoroughly and you want to make sure you avoid any sensors.
I haven't done it to my car because I do not know for certain exactly where the sensors are and the car runs really good I did do a second round of engine flush also the PI performance improver.
I do not know exactly where every sensor is so for me it's not worth it because I have no warranty on my car and I don't feel like dealing with anyone to fix my car if something happens to a electronic part.
If you can find out where all the electronics are and if I knew for certain I would do a video on my car on spring it into the intake.
The intake can be hard to get to on some vehicles some vehicles it's really easy it's just depends on the car and how it's set up.
I've done three rounds of power foam on my 59 Cadillac and it has made a huge difference I also took off some of the spark plugs and let it sit on top of the Pistons and sprayed it directly into the combustion chamber

I found interesting how the OE Amsoil oil is 25 dollars cheaper than the Subaru oil, so for my next oil change ill order a box of 0w20 and see how it runs, my car has only 6000 miles so I'll switch at 12k miles. oil change

Another great combination to go with that is the PI performance improver gasoline additive red bottle also I recommend the upper cylinder lubricant that one goes in every full tank of gas the one does a heavy cleanup the other one is a maintainer and keeps a film in the upper rings motor will run longer stronger run quieter better fuel mileage.
