The Wisconsin band was formed in 1967. Initially called the . In 1969, the band shortened its name to Tongue and recorded its first album, , on Akarma Records. The guys didn’t become big stars, but their live performances became famous in the Midwest. They spent about 10 years on tour and played up to 250 shows a year! They had to open for Chuck Berry, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper and many others. The band broke up in 1976. In 2000, the European label Gear Fab Records reissued the album on CD under the title Keep On Truckin’ With Tongue, which included two bonus tracks in addition to the original material from the 1969 album. The band is a legend! Enjoy listening!
