Vervet Monkeys Run Amok at Rivertrees Country Inn, Usa River, Tanzania

This video was shot before departing on safari in August of 2012. The safari outfit - Thomson Safaris, booked us into the Rivertrees Country Inn, in Usa River, Tanzania, about 20 miles east of Arusha, while we waited for the other safari participants to arrive. The Inn was situated next to Usa River, which had a canopy of trees running the length of the property. In these trees were several types of monkeys...Blue Monkeys and Vervet Monkeys. The Blue Monkeys would sit in the treetops and throw seed pods at you when you weren't looking. The pods could easily crack your skull, so it was fun dodging them while taking their picture! The resort was set on many acres of land and had a dining hall, swimming pool, and outdoor facilities to make your stay wonderful. Our room had an outdoor shower, a king-sized bed with a Bombay net to keep the bugs out, and was steps from the river. The staff was extremely helpful and I enjoyed the first massage of my life, as I was beat up from our journey, which was 35+ hours door-to-door.
