Don’t we love doctors who actually listen to our concerns and make adjustments?! You are such a good advocate for Freya. The best thing about both Sebastian and Freya is that they are such happy little kids and that is all because of their loving families and their main care givers/moms, of course! ❤️🇨🇦
Oh, my goodness. You're dealing with so many complex issues due to Freya's syndrome and you're doing such an amazing job. I wish you and your sweet family the best of luck and much happiness in the future. The amazingly adorable Freya could not have been born to a more perfect family. ❤
I think you are a very good mum and you have to focus on Freya because of her needs, but you always have an eye on your other babies and I see that you are doing well and they are not neglected at all. You take one other child with you when Freya has got an appointment. You really are doing a great job with all your kids, and your husband also. He has to work hard to provide for his family. And you also have the garden, the greenhouse, the 🐤🐔🐤🐓 and you try hard to save money, cook your own marmelade, your tomato sauce, you make adorable birthday cakes for your family and so on..I don't know how you can do all this in only 24 hours a day...I say: thumbs up for you...💐
I'm so glad the anesthesia went well for Freya. She's such a sweetheart. I can imagine how stressful it is. But you're such a great Mom and you let the doctors know your concerns. I'm like you but so many people are afraid to speak up. You will always be your kids best advocate! And you'll always do what's in their best interest! ❤
I love Freya! You are an incredible momma! I love watching Freya grow and learn. She is a little stinker. So much fun to watch! PS, I love your family!!
Hi Marci, I’m watching the replay. I’m sad I missed your live. Very happy Freya did well and the procedures went well. Freya just melts my heart. Her smile and giggle just makes me smile. Marci never underestimate you and Chris ‘ parenting; I think you do amazing and all of your children look very happy and loved. and it’s great to see when the kids are playing and interacting with Freya. This was a great video.
While Freya is remarkable, she’s not the one that has me most impressed. You my dear, are not the average momma! You have several balls in the air, yet you are able to thoughtfully and calmly respond to a situation appropriately, when most of us would be diving under our covers. Your assessment skills, especially being a layman, are right on. Natural ability to reach conclusions after careful consideration from every angle. I pride myself in all of the aforementioned skills but honestly you have me beat hands down. That was the good news. Now, you are sorely lacking in one area and the most important. the self love category- be kind to yourself, show yourself some grace, be selfish sometimes. You show each family member tenderness, yet not for yourself! (in my opinion.). Don’t think you are alone in this journey. When something is upsetting you, it upsets us all! You are someone we all should admire- As a mommy, a wife but mostly as a person just trying to do the right thing.
That is so so kind. I do have a tendency to put myself last. My sister and I were talking about this just today. It definitely is from how we were raised. We are both working on speaking up and putting ourselves first.
My older brother was both physically and mentally challenged. And my sister and younger brother learned the best lesson which is acceptance. And we, sister and younger brother and I dearly loved being with him and taking care of him and spoiling him rotten until he passed away a few ago. But I wouldn’t change anything about my childhood. My mom also had 4 kids, I never felt ignored or left out. I hope your kids learn the same lesson as I did a long time ago. Please know that I think you are incredible and doing everything right!!
I am so glad that you were able to get so many tests done! My adult son has had progressive sensorineural hearing loss, plus autism and intellectual disability. He has fought hearing aids every step of the way. He does use sign and Mayer Johnson pictures. He has also gone blind, unfortunately, but using a tablet for communication would have been good for him. This may be something that would help Freya.
I'm glad it is over so you can just enjoy some summer. My kids are all typical, but my stress levels each time one has had a minor surgery was off the charts. When it is over and all went well, you can just breathe and basically recuperate your own nerves lol. I wish people would stop comparing Freya and Sebastian, and you and Stephanie. In general, all humans vary so very much so absurd to compare one against the other.
Little Freya has a good Mum and Dad plus a good medical team. She is such a sweetheart, from where I am in the UK sending love, thank you for sharing, I really hope her ears are going to get better. I’m amassed how tolerant her team is for her. X
Hi Marci, I think you are a great mom. My kids are grown and I am a grandma. I wish I had a role model when my kids were growing up that exhibited patience and understanding like you do with your children. ❤️
I totally agree. I wish I had Marci as a role model. Too late for me but there is hope for the world with Liam, Fiona and Jesse. All three have Marci as a great mom so they will be just like her, a great parent. Thank God for Marci.
OMG..it is so much to do with a kid with a condition..I think many other parents don't konw what you all are going throug..I'm happy Freya is okay after sedation. I know that it can be cery difficult for kids with cdls..Sebastian also had a hard time when he sedated..and all the medical stuff goes on and on all along the livetime..and these kids have to work soo hard to reach milestones..I think you and your whole family will take good care of Freya..you are doing so amazing wirh her..❤
Thanks for taking the time to share all of this information with us. I missed the live as it was at 2 am here in Australia. I am a teacher and learned about a child needing surgery for only 20% hearing. Rare condition but hopefully he will get great results. So glad that the doctors were so informative about Freya’s conditions and the anaesthesiologist sounds fabulous. Always hard with someone you love has surgery. ❤
Sorry I missed you live. Sure sounds like overall Freya is healthy. Have you noticed a possible hearing loss prior to her test? Must admit Marci, you look tired and I don’t blame you. I hope the summer settles in and you can breathe. I know you worry, but my untrained eyes have seen Freya advance exponentially since I joined about a year ago. She is physically stronger, seems more steady on her feet when she stands and she is trying to feed herself like a big girl. She has a way to go but you have her off to a great start!!! I notice she is more advanced physically than Sebastian. Poor thing doesn’t have great neck control yet but they go at their own pace. There is a little Portuguese boy from Brazil named Gustavo who sits up more on his own, stands more and smiles at his mama more. Very heartwarming to watch him grow too! Please take care asf yourself!!!
I’m so disappointed I missed your live, but grateful you could limit it to subscribers. I want to mention that Freya’s hearing loss may explain why she likes loud toys, etc. I agree with someone who commented on your older children having no resentment toward Freya due to the extra attention she needs. You have included them in her care, so they feel like she is their “baby,” too.
Hi ya Marcy how you all doing and yep checking in to see how Freya went with the procedure ,all of it waking up from the procedure bless her sweet heart .little cutie .hope everything went well and Freya is recovering ok after .and also with her hearing etc ..CDLS go threw alot alot of surgeries 🤞🙏 for her being ok . Must be stressful you and Chris to .anyway lots of people luv your family so leave you to it .🤞🤞for Freya .❤
You are so brave. Thank you for sharing all this. Much love and prayers to you and your family for sure. I know that growing up. I had a lot of ear problems and I did have three sets of ear tubes. My ears were so small that one time I had a doctor that put a size too big in so they wouldn’t fall out but then later on, I had a hole in my eardrum and had to get the ear tube removed because one did not fall out and that was pretty painful surgery. However, getting ear tubes with not as difficult as a surgery although, I think anytime you get surgery is still difficult either way. Just comparing those two together. Also, I have a very hard time waking up With anesthesia so I can totally relate. I think that you’re doing all the right things for sure and I can definitely say that as hard as it is, probably a hearing test down the road would be good because I know that after getting your tubes, your hearing can change good or slightly worse just wanted to be honest about it. Although, getting the tubes do help with fluid and that’s what I had to get those as well so they definitely did all the right things. It’s so hard until seeing your babies like this, but it’s also can be rewarding in the end because they’re so strong. You’re so strong and the Lord is faithful and every situation.
My youngest, Ginger, had ashama and she kept clearing her throat. She was stared on the purple pill and wouldn't have to be on it long, but it helped her for long periods of time. Then she would start the clearing again and the dr would give it to her again for like a month and she would clear up for like 6 to 9 months. She grew out of it.😊
I watch Stephane and Sebastian have done for years same with you and your family. I used to be remembered as Flossy Flue, I got a new tablet and couldn’t get on utube so had to make a new account. Sebastian is very also very cute. My grandson was taught him sign language. We cannot shut him up now! X Love from me and my guide dog Jester X
My hearing aids are very light. What bothers me is them coming out of the canal so I'm always pushing them in. Anyway you might try getting her use to one at a time.

@@Freyasluckyarm ok, must be a glitch on my end. Love your video's Freya is so cute, I work with special needs kids and watching helps me know special needs for them.
It will help her communicate her needs and wants and specially as she has special needs. If she can't hear that could make it more difficult for her in school too. And communication is important for human beings. Of course there are ways to support her to communicate other ways too and she's as love able no matter what.
So she's hard if hearing ,but can you get tiny hearing aids possibly anyway so she can get to hear a little bit .ah right let her ears heal first .shame it's alot on her little body .

Hey Freya
Is it really all that important that you're precious little girl is able to hear everything? She will adapt.
Hearing helps with speech but not it’s not make or break. We will let her lead the way
Hearing is really important to help anyone communicate.
It will help her communicate her needs and wants and specially as she has special needs. If she can't hear that could make it more difficult for her in school too. And communication is important for human beings. Of course there are ways to support her to communicate other ways too and she's as love able no matter what.
Hey there
