I enjoy your videos. Me being a trapper myself. I sure wish you would give a video on how to make the beaver floats. I could use that in my trapping. Thanks

Nice videos , I like that you set your body/grippers up side down. Most DO NOT.

Just found your channel and am really enjoying the videos. At one point I thought you mentioned a build video for your floats but I cannot find one, did I miss it?

Not against trapping but curious as to why? My gramps used to trap when I was a kid (long long time ago). He did it for the money. Just wondering what pelts go for today and if it’s worth it. I have beaver on the property and they are really causing damage to the trees now. Wonder if it’s worth trapping them or just eliminating them

Really nice fur. Some people eat them. I haven't but would some day if I don't die first.

      You answered your own question.
Because they can really cause a lot of damage. You can't shoot them in every state so sometimes trapping is the only choice.

I like the beaver flot. What are the dimensions of the flot. Are the flots worth setting catch wise. What kind of stick are you putting in the flot. Here in North Carolina these crack heads would still everyone of those flots.

Why is there a need for traps though? Are they considered pests or block the riverways? Or is it like for population control?

All of the above. They block culverts, flood areas, destroy trees. Beavers are rodents and can over populate very fast if left unchecked.
