That's quite the capture of beaver activity. So glad you used a camera rather than a trap. It's fascinating to see the beaver at work. Thanks for posting.
Beavers gotta be one of the most amusing animals to watch in action. My favorite video was one where in the middle of winter a beaver family allowed some muskrats to sleep in their den with them as long as they brought food from outside
Thank you for adding this; I too had watched the viral video and thought the beaver may have been hit by the tree. It happens! But it's nice to hear he didn't, this time. My best wishes for his continued good fortune. Where I grew up (320 miles north) we had a lot of beaver, I don't see as many here but I always liked them. Not quite as much as porcupines, but they seem to have similar, harmless personalities. Well unless you are a tree or something that tries to bite a porky, then I guess not so harmless. Very sweet and docile though; totally defensive animals.
While most of the world sleeps beavers are chopping down trees 1 bite at time!!! WOW I found this video after reading article on Google about it!! THANKS 4 SHARING THIS!!
Many people don't know this but A LOT of beavers die by having trees fall on them. They really don't know where the tree is falling, they just hear the cracking so they run for it and hope for the best.
I wonder how precisely they can calculate where the tree will fall. I bet they don't just randomly chew. It would be an enormous waste of energy if the tree fell the other way
What other people see: "Stupid beaver doesn't know where to run for safety. Must have very little brain!" What I see: "Me, while felling trees with a chainsaw during a night."
That porky beaver knows he's being filmed! Was it stopping to listen for cracking as it was going? A video if it carting that big log away would've be even more fastenating?
Who ever programmed the mindset of these creatures is amazing. This is binded to the fact that every living things are designed to sustain life on earth. God is an awesome Designer.

For an episode we are making of the beaver we would love to use a bit of this clip! Would his at all be possible? Thank you in advance and kind regards, Rick Kluskens
My wife had a 5 yr old in her classroom. The boy was on vaca with his family in NH and while swimming a beaver came and bit him on the back. Ouchie!!! That was years ago but i think of it every time i see a beaver chomping away!
After the tree is felled, now what?? It seems this tree was too big and heavy for the beaver to transport down to the river… so he abandoned it and started on the next tree…which is also too heavy… Will it chop the big tree up into smaller pieces??
I watched a lot of videos were the tree falls on the beaver and think that the beaver would know not to ALWAYS GO THE SAME WAY THE TREE DOES WHEN ITS FALLING
That was really cool. Makes me excited for when my trail cam comes in. A beaver infestation is what caused me to learn how to tan furs. I refuse to kill and throw away. The meat is really good, too!
I am dealing with a beaver issue on a farm in Indiana. They are causing a ton of flooding issues. I can’t shoot them due to law but don’t want to pay someone to trap them... waste of money just to give someone else a problem... any solutions? Very cool video!!!
0:56 thats freaking adorable
He must've been working for so long after all that wood nibbling. Right?
That's quite the capture of beaver activity. So glad you used a camera rather than a trap. It's fascinating to see the beaver at work. Thanks for posting.
Maybe it's time to trap it and put it on a treadmill tho
Well a trap works great for killing the beaver but it wouldn’t do well in recording its activities.
😳 WHAT!? 🤣 Who traps 🦫?? 🤦🏻♂️ Never seen a beaver being trapped anywhere... 🤯
Yea... A trap wouldn't do so well in recording a beaver working...

That guy is so funny looking^^ "I had a hard day... Let's rub my eyes..."
I almost thought the little guy got crushed when the tree fell in the beginning.😱😱😱 Good thing he's okay though, and he's not fat, just husky.
His little arms accentuate his curves. 😂
I wanted to see a fucking crushed beaver

They do. Predicting which way the tree will fall is beyond them.

i was going to ask if they're smart enough to get out of the way, I see he almost killed himself. so I guess its a crap shoot

I newer heard of a beaver killed by a tree, they are much faster than you and me.

Until she pricked her finger one day and it occurred to her she might have a porcupine
Thats amazing 👏
Omg, that's the cutest thing I've ever seen! I subscribed. I've had Beaver friends but, I've never watched them take down a tree that big!
The little bugger has taken down several good size trees nearby.
4:10 tired after a long day's work
LOL that's adorable
That was a great video. I enjoyed watching. I liked the way you switched from black and white to color and then back to black and white. Awesome.

He decided to add some suspense for the fans by running behind the tree just before it fell. 😅

After all that work and danger he deserves some wood "fresh off the tree" as a reward.
