You hit it on the nail. Made me tear up thinking of Yiayia. Her, dress, the paper bag and the knife. 😌😋

LMAO to your introduction!! Yaya's are the best and watching this, remembering my childhood..made me smile, thank you for that. Miss this dish, served w/fish..delish. Time to get back to those traditions and feel those connections again. Great video 🤗

Delicious served with fish. Love this dish. Live in Greece for 10 yrs ate this most days. Delicious and highly nutritious. Basically wild spinach.

As a Greek, born and raised in Greece I can second that they are an acquired taste. When I was a kid, I'd cry to avoid them lol but after 25-26 yo, I adore them. With extra lemon and a drizzle of a good, producer to table olive oil....omg. I don't know if the diaspora Greeks are taught this by the grandparents, bet they are, but of the greens are collected from a clean area "aka" a mountain side and away from a road/street etc, you can drink the boiling water as tea. It's bitter and delightful 😂

This looks amazingly delicious! Great video and recipe and thank you for keeping alive these traditions of cooking wild edibles that are so healthy and nutritional. We need more people like you !! I am thinking of doing the same but instead of using dandelion, I thought of boiling up leaves of Reseda alba, white mignonette. What do you think? I've read that this was a popular horta in Greece 😁

My mom picked horta just last week. They really are so good for you, but I do prefer spinach better.
