@@mkguyadame4340 they’re not terrible. They have nice designs and generally look like the characters, plastic feels better in most cases too
Thinking negatively, they probably want to prove that a diaphragm cut is a bad/ terrible way for articulations. Same thing with double ball peg for the neck. Those 2 simple things are way simpler, which also means cheaper to do than ball hinge for the neck and ab crunch for joints, but somehow, they almost never made those 2 correctly while other companies could.

The one thing that's bugging me is the red and white stripes where the white stripe in the middle is but it should be red. I'll probably just fix the paint

Well, the design from the ultimate universe seems to varie from artist to artist. Some have red with white stripes and some have white with red stripes. So, technically I guess it's accurate. 🤷♂️

No wash, minimal accessories, and virtually no abdominal articulation. Pass. Gonna take a lot more than decent sculpting for me to pick up another Cap. Why is it so hard for the Legends design team to understand how double ball pegs are supposed to work? It’s such an old, yet functional way to do ab articulation. Tf is Dwight doing over there? Same thing when they try to do double ball peg head articulation. They make the top ball so big that they render it useless.
At this price point, I shouldn’t have to make any mods to it. Should be well painted and we’ll articulated right out of

I Really Want Marvel Legends Ultimate Figures
So true about the torso chest/ab articulation…he’s a melee character…he needs to be more articulated and flexible. Also, so damn appreciative that you showed how to do the slight modification to get a better ab crunch…thank you🙏🏽
I still want this figure, but am also confused why they wouldn't just reuse the ab crunch from the previous Cap figure for this. Hopefully ML takes another crack at Ultimate Iron Man's first suit, which iI thought was great to the point where I still have the original release displayed despite it being undersized with the chrome paint fading.
Hopefully Hasbro should announce the Marvel Legends Ultimate Iron Man action figure
I think it’s important the the community complains about these figures, because the prices are going up and we can’t accept shit from hasbro. If we don’t complain about these sort flaws, and hasbro the way they’re going won’t want to change and continuing ripping off collectors as always. Half assery happens over there and it sucks because collectors will still buy this shit even if they know it’s shit
I think I did a fair amount of complaining about my gripes with the figure but I also hight lighted the things I liked about it
@@UnparalleledUniverse of course, it’s important to highlight both good and bad. I think it’s important to try to be as transparent with these figures for us who watch you, and we really appreciate that sort of energy because we have a very blunt idea of what we will be expecting.
Amuses me to no end that we get post credit scenes for Unparalleled Cinematic Universe content (I miss when we used get those in the livestreams too. Ah, nostalgia!)
They can give ab-crunch at GIJoe classified but not at Marvel Legend come on Hasbro.
how i used to absolutely hate McFarlane articulations but now slowly and slowly Hasbro is moving foward (backward?) to it,sacrificing articulations for looks is quite dumd .

The old ultimate iron man legend needs a big update. That ult Hawkeye design was sick. Ultimate hulk would be easy for them to release as well.

Huge step backwards for the torso articulation. This figure could be amazing if they just didn't fuck up the torso articulation and the God damn diaphragm cut. Like he isn't posable. The torso articulation is infuriating because the figure is incredible. Like hasbro was so close lol they were so close

His detailing is pretty good, surprising to see on ML, to be honest. But it's not the best, the 20th Anniversary Cap is still unparallaled! It's cool when you share what you do to modify figures
We definitely need Ultimate Iron Man & Thor , Id love for an ultimate hulk but I can fudge in my grey hulk, but for sure to continue Ultimate giant man & wasp, Hawkeye... Maybe black widow
Ultimate Thor. I skipped on the Marvel Select version. I should have. I mean the Ultimates are punks for the most part. I liked seeing that universe implode. Ultimate Wolverine looks good too. Ultimates pretty much set up live action Avengers.
I love everything about Captain America, this belt pouch, water bottle!! but don't like the face at his mean-spirited look and a hat without angel wings

I can see Hasbro retooling the torso but reuse the arms and legs for a Comic Sam Wilson Captain America and a Modern US Agent.
And they did a retooled version of the Ultimate Captain America like Captain America (Secret Empire)

I don’t understand the thought behind bob raising prices and not giving the best product to a customer. It just seems like cheating people and all out greed. I started with the recent Joe collection and have moved over into the marvel line. It’s odd to see some figures get the full treatment and other almost basic articulation. Hey still charging full price.
Nice review Wade. I was not going to get this Cap but after seeing the amount of detailed sculpting work done here I ordered this. Articulation is fine with me but am happy you showed how to modify the ab crunch. Will you review the Neca Dungeons and Dragons Warduke? It's IMO one of Necas best.

They're encouraging Hasbro to do things like this and charge us more for giving us less. If you want seamless figures then you don't want figures, you want statues.

Oye so I canceled this and the new Iron Man FOR NOW...just for now. I love the headsculpts! But yeeeah bummer about the torso movement out the box 16:12 Love the details in the sculpt too though. Also maybe this is just me, but I would have liked to see the gray pants and brown boots on him. I love the gray bits in there but as it is, it's odd with just the one area. I do dig the mod work bro, excellent review!

I was gonna grab him and extremis iron man when they were briefly on BBTS, but I showed some restraint 😅. But when it comes to sculpted details, I wish more comic legends had this level of quality.
I loved doing this to my select Hulk so much that I did my Thor as well1 it’s like having a new fig with better range! I will do to cap to whenever I can get one! Great job and thanks for the show!

Manage to do it well with the mcu thor figures and power rangers lc have good torso movement even if you don't use the lower hinge so I'm not sure who dropped the ball here it's baffling.

Wow the zoom in’s really do this figure justice! Showcasing the textures and sculpt.
A lot of the reviews here on TH-cam and photos online make this figure seem mediocre.

I’ve tried telling you man hasbro legends just can’t do diaphragm joints lol I knew they’d screw this up, until they can get like mafex or the classified series they just need to stick to ab crunches and wast swivels

This is just another example of how hasbruh seemingly doesn’t know how to utilize their budget effectively. Why make new molds if something doesn’t do what it’s supposed to well🤷🏻♂️ It’s a waste of budget; even if they didn’t want to break the aesthetic, they could still add ab movement, like a hip joint. Again, their MO rings true: one step forward, two steps back.
i have a question; why do they keep making Cap's head sculpt look like some sort of angry old man? (exaggerated nasolabial fold) ... all except the 20th anniversary one from last year. it's not just Cap too. Hasbro seems to do this to a lot of male character. Am i missing something? or is this just the styling difference between Japanese Import figure and Hasbro.
That diafragm articulation is. Waaaaayyy better. Than the marvel legebds usually use it looks horrible

I really like this figure as well as the 20th anniversary Captain America, I like the overall look on ultimate better but 20th has better accessories and articulation. I found them both on Amazon for a decent price but I don’t know which one is best to get, think you can help me out?

At 10:20. I see a paint error that is minor but can be seen in this pose. On his shoulder where the blue meets the gray. On the right it is gray where it meets and on the left it is blue.
Did u literally put it in the pot as boiling the water? I wanna try but i always get scared of heating the figs too much. One time i heated a figure up and try to pop apart but the dumbell joint stretched out like fuckin mozzarella cheeze 😆
Probably dremel the lower hole. The one where the balljoint pops in. Thats what I did on my AF spiderman.

Good job on the modification. It sucks that the figure has to be "fixed" in order to get some decent poses. It's also frustrating that the 20th Cap still has pins and no alternate head.

I'm definetly picking this up to use with a Josiah X headsculpt that artman customs did. Those are straight fire. So bummed about the missing ab crunch though. I guess Josiah will be standing up straight and Isaiah will be in a dynamic pose in front of him lol.
Edit: Just got done watching the rest of the vid, I think your mod is worth it, just the little extra goes a long way. Did you take your pictures after or before the mod because it looked like he had some crunch in those haha.
