    • @Jim_L
      @Jim_L ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you totally in that the 1985 Live Aid version is perfect and timeless. The way he altered the arrangement of that performance is superb. He emphasized the soul aspect that this song has. I do, however, think comparing it to "Stairway to Heaven" and "Comfortably Numb" is a stretch. As good as Young's Live Aid rendition of this song is, it's not THAT good. But if you like it that much, then who am I to get in the way of your opinion?! 😃

    He is a great singer but at his age sometimes some remedial voice instruction is needed. Like a lot of older singers he is singing in a different key now and needs some guidance. Your voice is a muscle.

    He always sang from the back
    Of his throat, which means he put way to much stress on his vocal chords. If he learned to support it with his diaphragm, he could very well still have a strong voice. Sad,because I always liked his sound.

    I wish I hadn't seen this. I prefer to remember him in his prime, with a fantastic voice. Sadly, time to give it up. Sorry. His vocal chord issues of the 80's, although treated at the time, are evident here. He looks good for his/our age but he's not an actor or model. He's a singer.

    É realmente triste vê-lo assim, sem a mesma voz, mas a idade chega e nem todos os cantores conseguem mantê-la como antes, ou pelo menos parecida. No caso dele, está visivelmente debilitada, mas... fica a história inegável que teve um dia.

    I hate to say this but he sounds terrible Paul young was such an outstanding vocalist but the truth is painful sometimes if you can’t sing it in the original key it’s time to call it a day but he has trouble even singing the opening verse
