QUESTION: I plugged my USB Flash Drive into the Toshiba Fire Smart TV. The USB Flash Drive was formatted in the exFAT format. None of the files on the USB card could be seen. I was hoping to watch compressed mp4 videos. I then reformatted to NTFS. This allowed all of the mp4 videos to be seen from the 64GB USB Flash Drive. I then tried to use my WD 8TB External Hard Drive that is formatted in NTFS. Unfortunately, the Toshiba TV once again did not recognize any of the files. In comparison, an LG TV does recognize the files from that 8TB external Hard Drive. Why does the Toshiba TV not recognize the external Hard Drive - which I did have plugged in to an AC Adapter in order to supply power.
I did what you said and the drive does come up, but it only shows two options: "music" and "photos", so I think I have to save my video in another format other than "mp4."
