So is this the case for Windows 11 as well? Can we use a powershell script for this or something? At my job we are trying to mass upgrade our Windows Home laptops to Windows Pro but all of our machines are spread across different regions so physical access is not possible or feasible. That being said, not being connected to the internet is a huge issue as we cannot connect remotely to those laptops at that point. Is there a way to perhaps write a powershell script that does these steps automatically?

Doug,... This is a great video,... Your ability to break away and just experience being in such a beautiful place... And get away from the rat race, and get some fresh air and think about things without all the distractions just makes me jealous.... Envious... I kind of want to kick rocks because of the way my life didn't work out as planned, it's going to be very difficult to even consider to have quiet times or even the remote possibility to live in such an area that is green. But, I am also glad to see someone who I enjoy knowing has these opportunities... Absolutely and uplifting video for me this morning... Thank you for showing us how you're going to spend your day. 🙂

If nothing works, as it did not for me, After removing a backdoor well known trojan, virus total crashed. Clear all temp and %temp% files, restart your PC. Right click on Autorun64 or Autorun depending on you system. Right click and use the troubleshoot option regarding to your system. It worked for me. All numbers are zero 0/77 again. Aside, I had added another hard drive for more storage, that is where the backdoor virus was found, I removed the hard drive after checking it was fine. my virus software did not find the trojan, only Autorun64. Use trouble shooter by right clicking Autorun. I hope this helps.

With the feature with the battery being electronically disconnected, a lenovo laptop i had back in 2015 or 2016 came with documentation which indicated the laptop had such a feature I did some more research, and it turns out most models of dell laptop have a "battery storage mode" Hopefully youtube doesn't reject this link: www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-uk/000202232/battery-will-enter-storage-mode-after-computer-is-powered-off-for-1-to-3-weeks

I wanted to know how to reset my desktop since it’s need upgraded from windows 8 I believe it was to 10.? I’ve updated it but not recently, I don’t use this desk since getting laptop.

With the laptop mystery, they were pressing the actual power button (which on that laptop is also a fingerprint scanner), I believe i did actually tell them which one is the power button (i think they actually asked me which one it is) I also tried pressing it myself, and even tried a press and hold, but it didn’t come to life until the charger was plugged in (and the power button pressed with the charger connected) After i had finished setting it up, i did fully shut it down (I think I did the setup in multiple stages (after performing the initial setup i had to put it to one side and finish installing the required software on it later that day), and for part of that I might have been running it on battery power), and they always fully shut down computers when they have finished using them Also, a standard part of my checklist for setting up a new laptop is to disable fast startup or whatever its called (using my phone to type this and i don’t want to have to grab my 16 inch monster to check what its called) Based on communication history with them, it appears i ordered it around the 14th or 15th of May Update: I’ve now come up with a theory as to what could have been going on I know that for a while laptops have had a feature where the battery is electronically disconnected during shipping, and plugging in the charger will “activate” the battery Im wondering if this laptop might have a way for it to re-enter that state automatically if it hasn’t been used for a while

I recently had a bit of a computer mystery, which im still trying to figure out (thought id mention it incase anyone knows the answer) I had got someone a new laptop and set it up for them (Its a dell, but i cant remember the model other than its a 14 inch one), which is being used as a secondary laptop for travel, as its smaller than their main one The laptop had been sat on the side for a while after i set it up, not sure how long for They went to turn it on yesterday, which was the first time they had used it, but it didn't turn on, i thought maybe the battery drained while it was not being used, so i grabbed the charger and plugged it in (making sure they knew which one it was, even though i had labelled it), it then turned on just fine, and curiously it had probably about 50% charge, so i don't get why it wasn't turning on

Thank you so much, Doug. I had the same "problem" on a Windows 11 Pro installation. But changing the registers in the Local Machine didn't do it. I deleted however the Edge-Policy-Keys in the Local Users after deleting the keys in the Local Machine and the "Managed by your Organization" was gone after a reboot.

hello dear sir, you helped me a while ago, i have that difficult name: commendatore, haha! i asked you then about the hp27 aio pc, i didnt bought it though, instead i bought a brand new 2024 march HP 16 laptop, now my question is: the memory is 512 standard, but when i openend the laptop for the first time, the info says that i have only 475 gb capacity and used 51 gb and left with 424gb of space, the other strange thing is that i bought this laptop 3 days ago on june first and i received it today on june fifth, i registered the laptop on HP site and it says that the guarantee is 11 months and not the typical 1 year, hp says that the guarantee was started on april 4, so what is going on here, is it a used laptop? by someone or some scam, i bought it new in a new box, but not from HP

Given that the virtual memory was 27GB, a new system with 32GB doesn’t seem to be out of the question here.

Doug, Something to discuss on your show. I have an external hard drive with a USB micro B port. I connected it to my Dell Precision 7530 laptop's USB C port. The laptop went black and I had push the start button several times to restart the computer.
