I respect your concern but i am here to let you know that the situation in Bangladesh is beyond geopolitical. Maybe there are some external forces but the foremost reason here is the people of Bangladesh stood against a dictatorship. The fascist regime has done so much horrendous things like extra judicial killings of opponents, forced disappearances, mass corruptions (over 93 billions of dollars has laundered over the past 15 years), nepotism was at its peak. We are calling it our second independence, and independence we were longing for. There was no freedom of speech. The fascist regime has broke every human rights possible. And most importantly we seek freedom from Indian influence that was destroying our democracy and social values.

Thank you Brother Shahid for making this for Bangladesh. Well, I agree with the pattern you mentioned, and it might indeed follow that trend, but we must not forget that patterns also have OUTLIERS. The sheer amount of crackdown on free speech and enforced disappearances by the Hasina regime would be a textbook example of fascism, not to mention other oppressive methods. What has unfolded in Bangladesh in the last few days is a natural response to a super dictatorial fascist regime. If you follow the trend of responses to oppression since British India, you would find that the people of Bengal have always been at the forefront of resistance against oppression and imperialistic colonialism. Finally, given the risk of falling under Western hegemony, I urge you and all Muslims to pray for the people of Bangladesh so that Allah can guide them in a way that Bangladesh can act as an outlier to the pattern you mentioned.

I have not enough knowledge about Politics. So, I can't tell you whether you are right or wrong. But I can tell you that the things you mentioned will happen to Bangladesh is already happened. Literally! It's just if it happens now it'll be in favor of America before that it was India. There is not a single sector where indian exploitation hadn't happened. And also we didn't have any freedom of speech, and Sheikh hasina was a dictator in every way possible. And our economy is at it's lowest point. The middle class people couldn't afford their desirable necessaries forget about the Poor. There is not a single sector where oppression, corruption wasn't occuring. You don't know about the internal issues of Bangladesh. I don't want to go in deep about that just look at Bangladesh reserve, how it's declining. And on top of that over 94 billions dollars have been stolen by sheikh hasina and her party members.
I understand what you are predicting may come true, but Bangladeshi people wasn't in a good state in any way. We were under a autocratic government, with the help of Allah we managed to get rid of her. We thought and still believe we did the right thing and will be happy and in good condition in future inshaAllah.
Even if we don't get the results what we hope for, that's fine. We tried. Allah told us to fight against oppression, and we did! And whatever will happen tomorrow we will fight it with the help of Allah.

Absolutely right on the money. This is the truest, most incisive analysis I’ve heard yet from anybody of what just happened in Bangladesh - and foretells what will soon follow in the days and years ahead. The very swift overthrow of Sheikh Hasina, with the strong whiff of the military’s complicity in it, I suspected all along that the student protests were fast morphing into something more sinister. And this was , sadly, a successful U.S.-led regime change operation in Bangladesh.

No one questions the way BNP and Jamat Shibir leaders are given bail in such a rapid manner. The army did nothing to protect all the vandalism. In fact, they let the people rob anyone and everyone. Even the student organisation named Dr. Younus, as the head of the interim government, also raises questions. The Jamat Shibir ideology will never accept such a person who is involved in an interest business, but they didn't raise any questions on his selection. Not a single woman has been listed in the interim government, which is also an ideology of Jamat Shibir not to have any women in the power . A lot of series of events actually led to speculation that it was a massive conspiracy, but to the general public of Bangladesh, these suspicious movements will be beyond their imagination.
General people got brainwashed. The pattern of uprising was a subject of a systematic plan. Students can not create such a movement on its own. Saying that Awami League and Sheikh Hasina also misread every movement.
The first student who was shot by rubber bullet was fearless, which was very uncommon. A general student will not be able to do that. The silent presence of Jamat Shibir is everywhere, which we can not see in naked eyes. Yes , I was fed up with Awami League as well, and I am a huge critic of them. But the way they have been targeted and all the Bangabandhu and other Murals got vandalised raise a question. In fact, BNP leaders and members across the country saved a lot of honest and good Awami leaders and general people. Jamat Shibir was not selective at all.
Jamat Shibir is trying to create a positive image in front of the world. What happened in 2021 in Cumilla, these so-called Madrasa students attacked Hindus non-selective way. Now they are fooling everyone. Its a fucking big trap.
Dr. Younus is a pro-American, and this is the first time in the history of Bangladesh that we are having a head of government who is a pro-American. What America did to Iraq and Afghanistan created a massive hatred in the heart of Bangladeshis because of the religious attachment. Even in the Israel-Palestine war, most of the Bangladeshis blame America, but yet they are silent in this matter of choosing Dr. Younus as the head.
Initially, I wasn't convinced, but now it's bloody clear that it is a plot of the century and a trap we all Bangladeshis fell into it.

Sorry Mr Shahid, this is the only time i couldn't agree with you. You said in the last video about Bangladesh that no matter what Hasina does she's still our people. The problem is she never acted like our own people. she had committed genocide multiple times here. like the army officers killing in 2009, Muslim protesters in 2013, and now student protesters. during these 15 years there is no crime that she hasn't committed. suppressing freedom of speech, abducting anyone who questions her power, mass killing, rigging elections, subdue her opposition parties, putting our sovereignty in danger and so on. it was impossible for the nation to live under her power anymore. that's why we needed a new power immediately. i dont know if there is actually a conspiracy behind her resignation because she didn't even want to resign the day she resigned. she ordered the forces to put more extra force on the protesters that means she wanted bloodshed on that day too. Then the forces said that they can't put extra force on people because they're already headed towards her residence and there are too many of them so it was not possible for any forces to resist. That's why for her safety at the final moment she resigned and fled. This type of killer shouldn't be in power anywhere. We hope for something better because we're aware enough now. Bangladeshis are very active people. Inshallah Allah will plan something better for us.

Hello Sir. I'm from Bangladesh. Those of us who are a bit politically educated, and has an eye on history, guessed it mostly already. However, I want to add a few points:
    1. Bangladesh is already very grusomely privatized in places where public service is norm. If you read our history, we already went through shock therapy back in 1975, after the murder of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. What will fall victim now?
    2. Our economy is practically an anti-thesis of economic sovereignty. It's almost totally import and smuggling (let's call it illegal import) dependent. What we truely export is 'labor'. Be it our Textile industry or be it the budding IT sector or remittance. What else now?
    3. The only point is - We might plunge into a US backed war - like Ukraine. US is actually showing interest to put us in an armed conflict against Myanmar.

The only hope I has is that, in a few (4-5) decades, west will lose it's dominance completely. That might give us a chance to rise from the ashes. And our history says tht we're quite good at rising from ashes.

Asia mostly the southeast is quite not ready for full fledged democracy as sustained governance with a distant vision is necessary for economic growth which may not be evident immediately. When Asia will have reached the same economic conditions as the west, it will be ready for fully functioning democracy". The way ur country's economy grew was outstanding which fumbled only because of the west caused instabilities in the world. Sheikh Hasina really seemed to have a clear vision and grasp on the global political stage and was navigating through rough waters. uve just become so accustomed to comfort in her regime that u fell right into the west's trap. not to mention at the time when she was just starting to crack down on major corruptions. Anyway, good luck.

Or they did understand but none in the position to directly go against USA or confront them. For China Taiwan is their bigger issue than BD n for India the ruling party isn't in strong state or not economically strong enough to oppose USA as the world still runs on US $ n also both Ind n Us r in QUAD. Not to mention India n China hv their own conflicts too even though they r BRICS partners.

I am sorry to differ with Ustadh in public, but it is vitally important to do so given the nature of social media.
The idea of USA or any external power to put all their eggs in one basket among the contending parties for the state power is wrong, in general.
Secondly, the idea of Awami league being pro-china is particularly wrong. They did try to balance between China and India, but undoubtedly Sheikh Hasina's backers was India, and not China. And India and China are not allies by any stretch.
I know the pattern recognition that Ustadh talks about. It is a bit lazy imo. Lets say any uprising is bad in general. Secondly lets say anything bad is connected to USA and the west. Then one can always connect all the dots in acccordance with it. This a surefire way to walk into confirmation bias.
All that is said here could have been said about Bangladesh in 1971, and 1990 and 2008. The global powers will always have their influence, no matter the regime. And the long term outcome will always depend on the how the ppl and the govt handle them.
1971 eventually led to a stronger Bangladesh compared to Pakistan, in terms of securing the economic and cultural interest of the ppl in this part. 1990s again led to another step up.
If anything this shows that the more a nation tolerates injuatice to play the long game, the more it deviate from those "greater good' ends, as it requires more violence to correct the course then.
Also it is easier to predict a failure, because ultimately the success does not depend on a nation's capacity to overthrow unjust rulers, but the capacity actually build a just system. The former is by no means a guarentee for the latter, but it is the prerequisite first step. Later mistakes and shortcomings do not prove the error of the initial step, rather quite the opposite.

I am a Bangladeshi and I live in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina and her regime took away our rights to vote. We didn’t even go to vote centres in the current and past elections. I think you need to talk to local experts to deeply understand the scenario. Millions took to the streets to celebrate after 16 years of oppression. People used to get arrested even if they uttered a word or post on social media against Hasina. All the press, media were controlled by her. She even used to dictate to the Supreme Court judge on what should be the verdict. We the 170 million pple faced 16 years of oppression bcz of her.
